Donkey 'Drops Off' Baby with Human Mom After Apparently Needing a Break

Donkey 'Drops Off' Baby with Human Mom After Apparently Needing a Break originally appeared on PetHelpful. Caring for a baby is a lot of work and requires a great deal of patience, whether it's a human or animal baby. Pepper the miniature donkey is a new mom to her baby, Stella. Chelsea Caldwell is their human mom and admits that Stella is 'the true definition of a toddler'. When Pepper needs a break, she drops Stella off with her human mom, and it's too cute! Stella doesn't realize that she's a very big baby and attempts to climb into Chelsea's lap, which would be very uncomfortable! Just like a toddler, Stella demands Chelsea's attention, which she happily gives to the furry baby. If this doesn't make you want a baby donkey to cuddle with, nothing will! We think it's fair to say that most of us would be happy to babysit Stella! We love that Pepper trusts Chelsea enough to drop her baby off with her - that says a lot about what a good human mom Chelsea is. @Dawn S agreed and shared, "Mama needs a break and knows her baby is in good hands!" Commenter @briankleinfeld asked what we were all wondering, "How do you get anything done with her around?!" @ShanahTova swooned, "She's a Velcro baby. I'm so obsessed with her floof and fro!!"More About Donkeys Baby donkeys really are like human toddlers. They're inquisitive, like to get into trouble, love to play, and want all of their mom's love and attention. Not to mention they like to cuddle like Stella does! They also enjoy making lots of noise, and listening to them learn to bray is the cutest thing ever! Not only do they bray, but they make other noises like growls, grunts, squeals, and snorts…and they do all of this often, especially when they're hungry. Donkeys are social animals and prefer companionship; they don't like living alone. They prefer to be around other donkeys, horses, mules, and other animals. They like being around their humans, too. If they are left alone, they can get depressed, sad, and lonely. Like many animals, donkeys need daily exercise and it's important to have enrichment activities for them like big bouncy balls to chase after, slow feeders, and even equine puzzles. It's pretty entertaining to watch them run and play!
