Days of Our Lives Recap: Sophia Lies to Tate About Giving Birth in Chicago

Days of Our Lives Recap: Sophia Lies to Tate About Giving Birth in Chicago originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Days of Our Lives recap: Stephanie's Pad: Stephanie is working away when Alex notices how stressed she is about her pitch to EJ. They chat, once again, about her erotic novel project and how worried she is she'll be discovered. Alex, once again, says he's done everything he can to ensure her anonymity. Alex wants to use a particular line about 'forbidden love' in a blurb for the book but she freaks out and says no and also wants it taken out of the manuscript (to whom is that line attributed?). He agrees before she exits. Alex calls Kate and says the author doesn't want to use the excerpt she chose. He hangs up and there's a knock on the door. He finds no one there but there is a package addressed to Stephanie. University Hospital – Kayla's Office: EJ arrives just as Kayla hangs up with Bo. They immediately snark back and forth. EJ wants an office at the hospital but Kayla thinks they are short on space. EJ says it's all good as he'll just take hers. Kayla suggests sprucing up a utility closet near the morgue. She says he may own the hospital, but she runs it. EJ says she used to run it. They argue about his newly implemented budget when she tells EJ to either give her autonomy to run the hospital or she's done. EJ avoids the ultimatum and asks to use Kayla's office for his upcoming meeting with Stephanie. University Hospital – Lobby: Javi is telling Sarah about Holly and Arianna Grace's kidnapping and rescue. Sarah recalls when Victoria was kidnapped and then asks about Little T. She thinks it's clear how much he and Leo love that little boy. Javi admits he is dreading the day they have to give him up. Sarah recalls bonding with a child (Rachel) who she had to give up. She gets a little teary eyed and Javi gets all kinds of apologetic. Sarah says it's not about him as she is simply missing her daughter. Sarah calls Xander and screams at him about keeping Victoria from her. She hangs up just as Kayla arrives to ask what's wrong and give her a supportive hug. Chicago: Sophia is freaking out about all the lies she's telling but Melinda says she'll be able to see it through. Just then, Tate calls again but she ignores it. Melinda says they should stick to the plan so Tate will never know the baby left at the fire station is theirs. She says it's time for them to head back to Salem to deal with Tate and her mother. Marlena and John's Penthouse: Tate runs in telling Brady Sophia is in labor. He talks a mile a minute about Holly and Arianna Grace which stuns Brady. He wants to go to Chicago, but Brady stops him and says he will drive his son. Tate says he keeps calling Sophia and has no clue where she is in the city. Just then, Sophia calls and says she's on her way home as she already had the baby. She lies saying they had a daughter. They hang up and he tells Brady about his daughter. He wonders why Sophia didn't wait for him to meet with the couple in Chicago. Brady defends her saying she wanted to get on with his life much like Tate should. Tate thinks he will always wonder about his daughter and hoping she's having a good life. He gets all teary-eyed when he thinks about having a child who he will never know. Brady promises to support his son every step of the way and they embrace. Hernandez House: Leo holds the baby whilst talking to Chad about being a juror for Johnny's trial. They quickly hang up and he wonders aloud if Johnny is guilty. Javi arrives home and updates Leo on Arianna Grace and Holly. Leo asks about young Douglas and Javi asks if he had any idea the loan sharks would go after Arianna and Holly. Leo says he had no idea young Douglas and Arianna Grace even knew each other. Javi believes him but doesn't understand why he would help a perfect stranger. Leo says he sees himself in Doug and wanted to support him the way John and Marlena did him. He says Javi has changed him for the better and is an open book with him the same way Javi is with him (or is he…). Leo has to leave and gives Javi all kinds of directions about watching Little T. University Hospital – Kayla's Office: Stephanie arrives and is surprised to find EJ in her mother's chair. Stephanie says she is on board to take on the hospital as a client but won't do so unless he accepts all of her terms. She says she won't do anything to undermine her mother and EJ agrees. Next, Stephanie insists there will be no lying, cheating nor stealing on behalf of him or the hospital and EJ agrees. He asks if they have a deal and Stephanie agrees. Just then, Kayla walks in and wonders what the hell is going on. She's furious Stephanie didn't take her advice and accepted the job with EJ. With that, Stephanie exits. Kayla orders EJ not to corrupt her daughter. EJ says he hired her because of her skill as a publicist. Kayla wants to belabor the point but EJ makes his exit. Horton Square: Leo and EJ run into one another. Days of Our Lives Recap: Holly and Arianna Are Rescued Endings Leo reminds EJ they shouldn't be talking. EJ knows he is greedy, but Leo says he isn't like that any longer. He says he's not for sale and makes a quick exit. Stephanie arrives home and says she is officially working for EJ. She spots the package, and Alex says it arrived while she was out with no return address. Kayla tells Sarah about EJ hiring Stephanie to do PR for the hospital. They shift to talking about Xander and Kayla mentions he might benefit from therapy. She goes on to say Marlena offers intensive anger management counseling. Leo arrives home and tells Javi about his run-in with EJ. Sophia arrives to see Tate. He asks about the baby and Sophia says she's gone. Keep checking back for the latest Days of Our Lives recap! Days of Our Lives' Alison Sweeney on Normal Childhood in L.A.: "I Was Really Lucky"

Days of Our Lives' Alison Sweeney on Normal Childhood in L.A.: "I Was Really Lucky" originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. Life in Los Angeles wasn't a bad thing for former Days of Our Lives star and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries queen (Sami). Sweeney revealed to that despite no longer residing in LA and moving to Arizona, things weren't bad for her; that was all due to how she was brought up. Sweeney stated: I was really lucky. I'm from LA, so it wasn't a big fish-out of-water story, and my parents are super grounded and normal and real and tough and strict. I was never left out on my own to figure that out. I was always really guided by my brothers and my parents, who were all very loving. How does Sweeney prevent her marriage of 25 years to Dave Sanov from falling victim to the Hollywood curse? Communication. Sweeney stated: Communication is key. I know that's maybe too cheesy to say, but just staying in contact, talking all the time, checking in on the little things. I used to say that gestures, loving gestures are so important, but it's not romantic. Like, 'Oh, bring me flowers every week.' It's little things like, he charges my phone for me when I can't find it. I make him cappuccino in the morning just to be nice. And then not only doing those things for your partner, but recognizing … and acknowledging them and allowing that to be the sweet care and gesture that it is. Hallmark Star Alison Sweeney and Husband Dave Sanov Have the Sweetest Love Story

Days of Our Lives and Hallmark star Alison Sweeney is married to Dave Sanov. The couple first met as children and later reconnected when they were in their 20s. The duo have been married for 25 years and share son Benjamin and daughter Megan. Whether she's starring on Days of Our Lives or helming the Hallmark Channel with a myriad of different movies, Alison Sweeney is someone many people recognize from over the years. And as she's very much in the public eye, she also keeps folks updated on how much she loves her husband, Dave Sanov. When it comes to the two's road to romance, Alison and Dave's history goes way back. The couple initially met as kids, due to their parents being friends. What's more, Dave's dad and Alison's mom had a unique commonality that only they could relate to. "His dad and my mom play the violin for feature-film soundtracks, so we've actually known each other our whole lives," Alison told Access in 2019. "I totally had a crush on him when we were kids." Eventually Alison and Dave lost touch, when she went to star on Days of Our Lives and he attended college. When they saw each other again at a party both of their parents were throwing, Alison had to invite Dave to her 21st birthday party. As she explained on the Live Your Days podcast in September 2020, they bonded and began dating shortly after that. "We had such a great time, and we had so much fun getting to know each other again as grown-ups," she said at the time, per People. "And the rest is history." The couple wed on July 8, 2000, and have been together ever since. They later welcomed their son Benjamin Edward in February 2005, and their daughter Megan Hope completed their family in January 2009. What's more, Benjamin has gotten a taste of his mom's work by working on her 2023 Hallmark film A Zest for Death: a Hannah Swensen Mystery. Just as Dave is supportive of Alison's ventures in her career, she's equally as proud of his accomplishments. When Dave retired from being a California Highway Patrol officer after 27 years, Alison made sure people knew just how much the moment meant to their family. "It is a big deal to retire," she explained when she appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show in November 2022. "We're pulling people out of the woodwork to come be a part of this event. There's a lot of surprises we've planned for [Dave]. He's so excited." No matter what the couple is doing, it's clear that Alison and Dave are still in love over two decades later. As Alison noted when she celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in July 2025, she adored how they have a plethora of memories together that span many years. "Can you believe it? We're celebrating our 25th anniversary tonight. ❤️❤️," she wrote about their love on Instagram. "Time flies when you're having fun. We had a wonderful dinner sharing memories and telling each other that we look exactly the same. Lol. 😂." We love this for them! Alison Sweeney embraces ‘normal' life in Arizona while prioritizing health over Hollywood hype

It's been a few years since Alison Sweeney relocated her family from California to Arizona — and she hasn't regretted it one bit. In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, the former "Days of Our Lives" star, 48, opened up about her decision to leave Los Angeles and explained why she prioritizes health and wellness over the Hollywood hype these days. "I mean, no [I don't miss Hollywood]," Sweeney, who has recently partnered with Align Probiotics for their latest campaign, told Fox News Digital. "I miss my family. I love my family. I go to visit them all the time, but they're not really in Hollywood or whatever. So, no, I am thrilled with my life. I love how normal it is." The actress made her acting debut at the age of four when she landed a role in a Kodak commercial. From there, she went on to find major success with various film and TV roles, including the role of Sami on the longtime-running soap opera "Days of Our Lives." In 2019, the former "Biggest Loser" host told Fox News Digital that being a child actor had taught her "that there's always someone out there who is prettier and skinnier and fancier." She said she was able to combat that by gradually learning to believe in herself and what she had to offer, and by figuring out how to "find that confidence" within herself. And as other childhood stars were succumbing to the temptations of the limelight, Sweeney said her family was really instrumental in helping her to keep her head on straight. "I was really lucky. I'm from LA, so it wasn't a big fish-out of-water story, and my parents are super grounded and normal and real and tough and strict," she said. "I was never left out on my own to figure that out. I was always really guided by my brothers and my parents, who were all very loving." These days, Sweeney is enjoying normalcy, while continuing to prioritize her health and wellness. "I am a busy mom and I work all the time, and you really don't have a lot of time for your gut health to not be aligned," said Sweeney, who shares two children with husband David Sanov. "And so it was a great partnership [with Align Probiotics] because I care about my health. Everything you're reading right now is people trying to be more healthy, people trying to understand their bodies better. And one of the things I learned at 'The Biggest Loser' is that you are getting signs from your body. Your body is trying to communicate with you. It's trying to help you." "And if you're listening to those signs, you can make a lot of better choices for yourself," she continued. "Staying active is very important, I'm not going to knock that, but I do think nutrition is number one for your health, and eating well. I'm not really hip to the Hollywood scene, but what I noticed with moms I'm friends with and just other everyday women is just more awareness … that your nutrition can make a difference in how you feel and your health." Sweeney said that getting "skinny" is not the way to go, but rather striving for "healthy living." "Skinny is really not the right goal," she said. "Healthy living is the right goal. It is something to look forward to, something to strive towards. It's a marathon, it's not a sprint. And so, it's really important to look at big picture." And family is a huge part of that bigger picture. The Hallmark actress, who recently celebrated 25 years of marriage with Sanov, said "the little things" in life are what matter the most. "Communication is key," she said. "I know that's maybe too cheesy to say, but just staying in contact, talking all the time, checking in on the little things. I used to say that gestures, loving gestures are so important, but it's not romantic. Like, 'Oh, bring me flowers every week.' It's little things like, he charges my phone for me when I can't find it. I make him cappuccino in the morning just to be nice. And then not only doing those things for your partner, but recognizing … and acknowledging them and allowing that to be the sweet care and gesture that it is." "Don't take it for granted," she added. "Appreciating those little moments are just as valuable."
