Disney has officially announced that the live-action hit Lilo & Stitch will be available to own on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on August 26, 2025. The film is currently available on Digital. The film, directed by Oscar-nominated Dean Fleischer Camp and stars Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, Chris Sanders, with Courtney B. Vance, and Zach Galifianakis, while introducing Maia Kealoha. Fans can enjoy Lilo & Stitch in beautiful sight and sound with 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Vision and Atmos audio. The digital and Blu-ray offer hours of exclusive bonus content featuring fun bloopers, deleted scenes, featurettes, and a full-length sing-along. Lilo & Stitch 2 Update Is Great News for Fans of Animated Movie
The live-action has received an exciting update. Lilo & Stitch was released in United States theaters this past May by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. A remake of the 2002 animated flick of the same name, the movie is directed by Dean Fleischer Camp and stars Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Sydney Elizabeth Agudong as Nani, Zach Galifianakis as Dr. Jumba Jookiba, Billy Magnussen as Agent Wendell Pleakley, and Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles. Lilo & Stitch has proven to be a huge hit at the box office, as it has now made over a billion dollars worldwide. A sequel was officially announced to be in development last month. What is the Lilo & Stitch 2 update? Chris Sanders is in final negotiations to write Lilo & Stitch 2, per The Hollywood Reporter. Sanders co-wrote and co-directed the original Lilo & Stitch movie with Dean DeBlois. He also voices the Stitch character not only in the 2002 and 2025 movies, but also in Stitch! The Movie, Lilo & Stitch: The Series, Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch, Leroy & Stitch, and more. Outside of Lilo & Stitch, Sanders directed 2024's The Wild Robot for DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures. He is currently working on a sequel for that movie as well. Plot details for Lilo & Stitch 2 remain under wraps at this time, though The Hollywood Reporter says it will be a 'brand-new story' rather than an adaptation of any of the aforementioned animated Lilo & Stitch sequels. Jonathan Eirich will return to produce. Lilo & Stitch 2 does not yet have a release date from Disney. The first live-action Lilo & Stitch, meanwhile, is still playing in theaters. The short synopsis for the film reads, 'Lilo & Stitch is the wildly funny and touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family.' Live-Action ‘Lilo & Stitch' New On Streaming This Week With Bonus Features

Lilo & Stitch opened in theaters on May 23. The official logline for the movie reads, 'A live-action reimagining of Disney's 2002 animated classic, Lilo & Stitch is the wildly funny and touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family.' Maia Kealoha stars as Lilo while Chris Sanders — who co-directed the 2002 animated film and provided the voice of Stitch — reprises his voice role for the new live-action version. Sydney Agudong also stars in the new Lilo & Stitch as Lilo's older sister, Nani. Lilo & Stitch, which is directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, also stars Zach Galifianakis, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Courtney B. Vance, Amy Hill and Kaipo Dudoit and the voice of Hannah Waddingham. Lilo & Stitch will arrive on digital streaming via premium video on demand on Tuesday, July 22, noted Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment in a press release on Monday. Lilo & Stitch will be available to purchase or rent on PVOD on other digital platforms, including Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Google Play and YouTube. Disney's Lilo & Stitch has crossed the $1B mark at the worldwide box office, now with $1.001B through Wednesday. The sweet little girl and her mischievous blue alien finally give Hollywood its first billion-dollar movie of 2025 with Lilo & Stitch the only studio film so far this year to reach the milestone. The split is $416.2M domestic and $584.8M from the international box office while play continues. L&S is the No. 1 MPA movie of 2025 both internationally and globally. The Disney/Rideback production directed by Dean Fleischer Camp passed $1B with Wednesday's grosses included, this after an eighth weekend that saw increases and strong holds in a handful of overseas markets.
