Osbourne encouraged fans to create Ozzy dupes for future generations. "Clone me, you bastards," he said. The rocker previously teamed up with Liquid Death for an electrolyte drink mix called "Death Dust." Barker is a longtime fan of Osbourne's. The drummer posted a picture in February 2024 of vintage rock shirts that he had for his son Rocky, including one with Osbourne on it. Rock star admits he purchased Ozzy Osbourne's DNA for $450

A famous rock star has revealed himself as one of the handful of people who purchased a can of Ozzy Osbourne's DNA. Last month the Black Sabbath frontman, 76, who is about to play his final ever show, announced he was selling his DNA. Teaming up with drinks company Liquid Death for a limited-edition deal, fans were told they could buy cans of ice tea which he'd already consumed. Only 10 of the empty drinks were made available – and were sold for $450 (£335). A few weeks on Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, 49, has let it drop that he was one of the eager customers. Posting an image of the empty Liquid Death can, which contains traces of the Prince of Darkness' saliva, on Instagram, Travis made it clear he wasn't fussed about forking out for the unique item. When announcing the collaboration, Liquid Death explained: 'Ozzy Osbourne is 1 of 1. But we're selling his actual DNA so you can recycle him forever.' Liquid Death released its ad for the crushed cans with DNA samples, packaged in containers with an official label and the rock star's signature. 'Once technology and federal law permit, you can replicate Ozzy and enjoy him for hundreds of years into the future,' the ad said. Ozzy didn't seem too fazed about what could result from the product. 'Clone me, you b****ards,' he declared. He also joked: 'Whatever you do, don't try freebasing it and never ever inject it. And don't even think about boofing it, you little perverts.' The musician, who helped form Black Sabbath in Birmingham in 1978, previously teamed up with Liquid Death for an electrolyte drink mix called Death Dust. Travis, who joined Blink 182 in 1998, has previously displayed his admiration of Ozzy. In February last year he posted a photo of vintage rock shirts that he had for his son Rocky, including one with Osbourne on it. 'Rocky's vintage collection,' he wrote. Travis welcomed his son with wife Kourtney Kardashian in November 2023. Nearly two decades after last performing together, the four original members of Black Sabbath will reunite this weekend. More Trending Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Bill Ward and Geezer Butler's Back to the Beginning concert will be held at Villa Park in Birmingham on Saturday the final concert for both the band's original line-up and Ozzy, who has been battling ill health in recent years. Ozzy hasn't played a full gig since 2018, and has faced numerous health problems since then, including being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. He previously reassured fans he was in 'heavy training' for the show but also wouldn't be pushing his body too much. 'I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable,' he told NME. Got a story? Ozzy Osbourne selling cans containing his DNA for fans to try cloning him, Entertainment News

Ozzy Osbourne is selling empty cans containing his DNA for £335 (S$580) — so fans can "try to clone" the music legend. The Prince of Darkness has teamed up with Liquid Death, whose tagline is "murder your thirst", on the bizarre product dubbed Infinite Ozzy. The 10 empty cans Ozzy drank from — and has signed — were re-sealed with the rocker's DNA sealed inside. Liquid Death's PR team said: "Once technology and federal law permit, fans can use this DNA to try to clone Ozzy in the future and enjoy him for hundreds of years to come." Ozzy — who will bow out with one last performance at Black Sabbath's Back To The Beginning charity concert at Birmingham's Villa Park on July 5 — quipped: "Clone me, you bastards." The 76-year-old Paranoid hitmaker previously starred in an ad for Liquid Death's Death Dust electrolyte drink mix. He joked in the clip: "Whatever you do, don't try freebasing it and never ever inject it. And don't even think about boofing it, you little perverts." From overdoses to biting the head off a bat to jumping out of a hotel window, and his Parkinson's and spinal injuries, Ozzy has defied death countless times over the years. Ozzy's preparation for the show includes rigorous training. Speaking on his Ozzy Speaks podcast on SiriusXM recently, he said: "I have got this trainer guy who helps people get back to normal. It's hard going, but he's convinced that he can pull it off for me. "I am having my blood pressure taken 15 times a day. I've got this f***ing device on my finger. It's a monitor to say how my heart rate is." Ozzy also admitted he is still uncertain whether he will perform standing up or seated, following multiple spinal surgeries related to a 2003 quad bike accident at his Buckinghamshire home. A fall in 2019 displaced metal rods inserted into his back from the crash, which he said caused more complications than Parkinson's itself. Ozzy was diagnosed with a mild form of Parkinson's in 2003 and delayed going public with his news until 2020. Back To The Beginning will feature performances from Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Alice in Chains, Anthrax, Mastodon and many more. [[nid:719177]]
