Meri Bhavya Life's Sheetal Maulik recalls casting couch experience; says ‘I was directly asked if I'm ready to compromise'
Actress Sheetal Maulik, currently winning hearts as Priya in Meri Bhavya Life, opened up in an exclusive conversation about a disturbing casting couch experience early in her career. Reflecting on the incident, she shared how naïve she was at the time and how that moment shaped her journey in the industry. 'It was quite unexpected for me,' Sheetal began. 'I was very innocent during the time I made my acting debut. I was hardly 15 or 16 years old. Back then, we were still considered kids and our parents made most decisions. Today's generation is much more aware and informed.' Recalling the shocking incident, she said, 'I was in talks for a project, and I was directly asked if I'm ready to compromise. I was so innocent that I agreed on the spot, thinking it meant they would pay me less. I came home and told my family, 'Yay! I'm selected! Just that they'll pay me less, and I agreed to it.'' However, the reality hit hard soon after. 'The next day, the producer called me to meet at night. I was like, 'Sir, now?' And he said, 'Yes, we talked about compromising, and you seemed comfortable.' I said, 'Yes, I'm okay with less money,' and he replied, 'No, we can pay you more. All you need to do is…' I cut off the call. That moment was a real shock for me.' Despite the harrowing experience, Sheetal emphasized the positives. 'Yes, the industry has a dark side, but there are good people too—professionals who respect and appreciate your talent. I was lucky to meet such people and didn't let that one experience break me. I kept going.' She further shared, 'My mom used to accompany me to auditions after that. I became more aware. I always tell newcomers—trust your talent and stay true to your path. Hard work and honesty will take you far.' In addition to Meri Bhavya Life, Sheetal has appeared in Deewaniyat, Suhaagan, Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka, and Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai, slowly carving a place for herself with resilience and talent.

Sonam Bajwa calls 'Ek Deewane ki Deewaniyat' her 'most difficult film'
Punjabi actor Sonam Bajwa , who recently made her Bollywood debut with "Housefull 5", says "Ek Deewane ki Deewaniyat" has been one of the most difficult films for her. Bajwa co-stars with Harshvardhan Rane in "Ek Deewane ki Deewaniyat". The actors wrapped shooting for the film on Thursday, which they announced on social media. Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film is described as a musical love story. It is written by Mushtaq Shiekh alongside Zaveri. The 35-year-old actor shared a series of pictures on her Instagram handle on Friday from the set. She said despite the film being difficult, she had the "most magical experience" working on it. "Can't believe I am writing that filming of Ek Deewane ki Deewaniyat' is complete. Despite being one of the most difficult films that I shot till date the experience has been soooo magical," she wrote in the caption. "Want to thank everyone who has been part of this journey and team 'Deewaniyat'. This was not possible without you all," she added. "Housefull 5" released on June 6 and is the fifth installment in the "Housefull" franchise. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film also featured Akshay Kumar, Nargis Fakhri, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff. Bajwa will next appear alongside Tiger Shroff in "Baaghi 4".The film is slated to release in September and is directed by A Harsha.

The actor took to social media to share a fresh batch of photos and made an exciting announcement — he's all set to begin shooting for director Omung Kumar's upcoming film in July. Fans can't control their excitement. Taking to his Instagram handle, the actor also revealed that his exam is also lined up. 'Finished shooting for #ekdeewane ki DEEWANIYAT" yesterday, exam in a week and then next films shoot starts July, was craving to see some animals and be close to mother nature," read the caption. Harshvardhan took to his Instagram stories, where he shared a stunning picture of an owl that he took. For the caption, he wrote: 'The plan for the next three months. Finish Deewaniyat climax shoot. Ace psychology honours exams in June end. Go for wildlife photography. Head for Omung Kumar sirs film." Coming to Omung Kumar's film, it also stars Sadia Khateeb and Karan Veer Mehra. With Omung Kumar known for crafting impactful films and Harshvardhan's compelling on-screen intensity, this collaboration promises a gripping cinematic experience. The film is expected to go on floors later this year. The news about the shoot schedule was announced on Monday.
