Stealthy Defender : Land Rover unveils Defender OCTA Black edition
Land Rover has taken the wraps off the Defender OCTA Black, an all-black version of its flagship performance SUV. This striking edition features more than 30 exterior components finished in either Gloss Black or Satin Black, giving it an unmistakably stealthy presence. Under the bonnet is a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid engine, producing a formidable 626 BHP and 750 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. The SUV sports a Narvik Black paint job, with an optional matte protective film for added edge. Key exterior highlights include Satin Black Powder Coated scuff plates at the front and rear with exposed recovery eyes, Gloss Black quad exhaust tips, and a Gloss Black front tow eye cover. Even the Land Rover grille badge gets the blackout treatment, paired with darkened silver script. Buyers can choose between 20-inch forged wheels or 22-inch Gloss Black wheels, both paired with black centre caps and Shadow Atlas Defender badging. The Gloss Black brake calipers feature Sentient Silver script, adding a touch of contrast to the monochrome theme. Inside, the dark aesthetic continues with Ebony Semi-Aniline leather combined with Kvadrat fabric on the performance seats. These seats feature new perforation patterns and backrest stitching, while Carpathian Grey details appear on the seatbacks and armrest hinges. The cabin is further enhanced with satin black powder-coated cross-beams, black switchgear, and a black steering wheel. Buyers can also opt for an interior trimmed in Chopped Carbon Fibre. The Defender OCTA Black also retains advanced features like 6D Dynamics suspension, a dedicated OCTA drive mode, and Body and Soul Seats (BASS), enhancing comfort and control on any terrain.
