Summer Twists Rock Salem as DAYS Drops Sizzling Sneak Peek Featuring Big Returns
This summer is about to get a lot hotter thanks to Days of Our Lives releasing a brand new trailer forecasting what's ahead for the show's ongoing storylines. There are plot twists aplenty with the 'Who Shot EJ' story as well as Sophia's quest to find her baby the perfect home. Plus, big returns are bound to stir up trouble, and then there's the matter of an alive Stefano DiMera? TV Insider first reported on the show's brand new summer sizzle reel. This preview of what's ahead includes what happens after Sophia (Rachel Boyd) gives birth to her and Tate's baby. Here's the story that Sophia's sticking to: 'The adoptive parents were with me when I gave birth. They wanted to take her home right away.' But Sophia is telling nothing but lies. In a very This is Us-like development, it looks like the teen may have left her baby somewhere safe…for someone else to care for. 'Whoever's baby this is, she left him in the safe-haven box at the fire station,' a uniformed Javi (Al Calderon) says as he holds the baby. Later in the trailer, it looks like Javi and Leo (Greg Rikaart) may take care of the baby. Other storylines tackled in the preview are the 'Who Shot EJ' mystery, which moves on to Johnny's trial. While Rachel (Alice Halsey) testifies, it seems like Marlena (Deidre Hall) may hold the key to wrapping that story up. 'You know who shot EJ, don't you?' Belle says to her mom. Meanwhile, those thugs who are after Doug III (Peyton Meyer) must pop up again. Because both Ari (Marissa Reyes) and Holly (Ashley Puzemis) are kidnapped. Who will ride to their rescue? And the Kiriakis clan tries to prevent their empire from crumbling. MORE: Here's what's going on this week on DAYS. After a spring filled with big returns due to John's death and Bo's coming out of his coma. This summer will provide even more, including Sami (Alison Sweeney), who gets to reconnect with her mom for the first time since Marlena lost the love of her life. As reported months ago, Gwen (Emily O'Brien) is headed back to Salem. Is she in cahoots with EJ (Dan Feuerrigel) this time around? The trailer briefly jumps ahead to November to preview the show's 60th anniversary. 'With the opening of the Dr. Tom Horton Free Clinic, my grandfather's legacy will continue to serve the community,' Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) announces. In the audience are Mike Horton (Roark Critchlow) and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford). Will (Chandler Massey) makes another return, as does Eric (Greg Vaughan), which means twins Sami and Eric get to reconnect, too. Will he tell her what's going on with him and Nicole (Ari Zucker)? MORE: Salem's Queen of sass: DAYS' Cherie Jimenez celebrates one year of Gabi greatness. Spotted are plot twists like a darker Sophia Choi, a Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) and Tony (Thaao Penghlis) team-up, and a potential surprise pairing for Paul Telfer's Xander. In addition, Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) kiss! So do Chad (Billy Flynn) and Cat (AnnaLynne McCord). Somebody might get stabbed, and something's wrong with Marlena. What does her crisis have to do with Stefano DiMera being alive? And what about this mysterious Dr. Rolf (Richard Wharton) ending? 'It's almost time, Father.' Assuming this is Rolf, who is he looking at? It can't be Stefano, right? DAYS is giving fans plenty of reasons to stay inside this summer and beyond.

Days of our Lives spoilers for the week of June 30-July 4, 2025 tease a supportive dad and a supportive boyfriend. Despite Marlena's (Deidre Hall) and Roman's (Josh Taylor) concerns about Johnny (Carson Boatman) being the shooter, the week will start with EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) insisting his son is innocent. He's vowed to protect Johnny, despite the video evidence he possesses of Johnny confronting him with a gun. By the end of the week, EJ will still support Johnny, no matter how done with his dad he is. READ THIS: Here's who should have written John's (the late Drake Hogestyn) obituary on DAYS. Summer means Salem's teen scene is in full swing, and on Tuesday, Ari (Marissa Reyes) will question Doug III (Peyton Meyer). She's been into him from the second she hooked up with him on her birthday, but what will she have to question him about? Could she discover the threatening photos he was sent, or will she find out about his feelings for Holly (Ashley Puzemis)? Considering Holly is said to reconcile with Tate (Leo Howard) on Thursday, Doug III may be bitter knowing his love is reuniting with her ex. On a less dramatic front, two of Salem's cutest couples are having major moments next week. Mid-week, Javi (Al Calderon) will bring Leo (Greg Rikaart, who is starting a soap opera podcast with a fellow daytime star!) a big surprise. At the end of the week, Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) pitches an idea to Stephanie (Abigail Klein), and it must be about her manuscript. Days of Our Lives spoilers: EJ sends Rachel away?

Rachel's tummy trouble is fast becoming a problem for EJ on Days of Our Lives, so will he end up sending her away to protect his secret? In the June 20 episode of Days, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) discovered that Brady (Eric Martsolf) knew that Rachel (Alice Halsey) saw Johnny (Carson Boatman) shoot EJ on that fateful night. Since then, the young girl has been plagued by stomach issues, no doubt caused by the stress of her uncle's secret eating away at her. After getting sick ahead of the graduation ceremony, Brady took Rachel to the hospital to visit Sarah (Lynsey Godfrey) for yet another check-up. Sarah figured out that something was bothering Rachel, and it wasn't the loss of her Grandpa John (Drake Hogestyn). Given how close Rachel was to John, Sarah quickly determined that whatever the secret is, it's a big one. Brady assured Sarah that Rachel will continue with therapy, but that's not the end of it. Later, during a girl's night sleepover with her grandmother, Rachel mumbled 'No, don't shoot him' while she was dreaming, leading Marlena (Deidre Hall) to wonder what was going on. Naturally, it won't take much to connect the dots between Rachel's upset stomach — a result of stress — and the fact that EJ is the only person who has been shot (recently, at least) in Salem. This presents a massive problem for EJ, who is working to protect his son from being charged with the crime. EJ will do anything to protect Johnny, but we doubt he'd go so far as to 'disappear' Rachel. Now that Brady, and eventually Marlena, know what's going on with Rachel, it's going to be a race against time for EJ to find a way to get Rachel away from Salem until the heat dies down. This leads us to wonder if he'll propose a grand summer trip for her. Whether it's summer camp or a European getaway, or heck, even a whole summer traveling to theme parks, EJ will likely do whatever he can to get Rachel out of town before too many people start asking questions. Days of Our Lives streams weekdays on Peacock.
