Slayer at Blackweir Live updates as Cardiff faces roads closures, traffic and more as fans come into the city
There will be major travel disruption in Cardiff city centre this evening for the second day in a row ahead of the latest huge gig in the capital. Heavy traffic will affect several key routes into the city ahead of Slayer's show at Blackweir Live.
Rail, bus and road travel will be affected as the Californian band bring their smash hits such as Raining Blood, Delusions of Saviour and Angel of Death to eagar fans. The band is third live act to perform at Blackweir Live after Noah Kahan last Friday and Alanis Morissette yesterday evening.
Alanis' show saw heavy traffic and travel disruptions throughout the city centre, which is also expected with tonight's show. Four main roads will be closed from 4pm while Transport for Wales confirmed they will close a city centre train station.
Bus services will be diverted while the city centre road closures are in place. Many will have already noticed that from 7am, access to part of the Civic Centre has been controlled throughout the day. The doors will open at 5pm.
The series of gigs have been launched in summer 2025, which is brought to audiences by Cardiff business Depot Live in collaboration with Cuffe & Taylor.
