Police appeal after serious sexual assault in Nottingham
A serious sexual assault near a canal in Nottingham city centre is being investigated by Police said a woman reported being sexually assaulted around the area of the towpath in the early hours of Sunday, between Trent Street and Carrington canal towpath has been cordoned off while investigations take Sgt Lee Kirk asked for people who were in the area at the time to come forward.
He added: "We understand the concern incidents of this nature can cause and uniformed officers will be in the area to offer reassurance and support."Alongside this, a team of detectives are working hard on the investigation."
