Just released on OTT, the film picks up seven years after Raid (2018), with Devgn's character once again chasing the trail of corruption, this time targeting a revered yet dangerously deceptive politician played by Riteish Deshmukh. Vaani Kapoor steps in as Malini Patnaik, replacing Ileana D'Cruz, while Deshmukh's portrayal of Dada Manohar Bhai adds a fresh antagonist to the mix. Early viewers, however, are split. Son of Sardaar 2 teaser: Ajay Devgn takes the madhouse of laughter to Scotland
Actor Ajay Devgn on Thursday released the teaser of his upcoming film 'Son of Sardaar 2' online. The teaser gave a glimpse of all the prominent actors in the film, including Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Vindu Dara Singh, Neeru Bajwa, Ashwini Kalsekar and Kubbra Devgn reprises his iconic character, Jassi, Thakur plays his love interest, Rabiya. There's also a glimpse of the late actor Mukul Dev, who plays Tony in the film. The teaser promises a story packed with action, entertainment, confusion, romance and an ensemble comedy. The film is set in Scotland, and the makers have been highlighting the location of the film in all their promos and teaser further features the iconic 'Son of Sardaar' music in the background. NEW DELHI: "Son of Sardaar 2", starring Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur, is set to release in theatres on July 25. The film from Vijay Kumar Arora is a sequel to "Son of Sardaar", which released in 2012. Devgn, whose latest work is "Azaad", which came out earlier this year, shared the news on his Instagram handle on Thursday. He uploaded a poster from the film, with the release date written over it.
