UAE fuel prices for July 2025 revealed, petrol and diesel go up
Fuel prices are on the up across the UAE this month, so if you're heading out for a road trip or just topping up the tank, here's what you'll be paying. Compared to June 2025, petrol and diesel rates have seen a noticeable increase for July, so it's a good idea to plan your drives (and your budget) accordingly. Starting July 1, 2025, here are the new prices per litre: Super 98 : Dhs2.70 (up from Dhs2.58 in June) Special 95 : Dhs2.58 (up from Dhs2.47) E-Plus 91 : Dhs2.51 (up from Dhs2.39) Diesel: Dhs2.63 (up from Dhs2.45) 2025 UAE fuel prices January: Dhs2.61 February: Dhs2.74 March: Dhs 2.73 April: Dhs 2.57 May: Dhs2.58 June: Dhs2.58 July: Dhs2.70 2024 January: Dhs2.82 February: Dhs2.88 March: Dhs3.03 April: Dhs3.15 May: Dhs3.34 June: Dhs3.14 July: Dhs2.99 August: Dhs3.05 October: Dhs2.66 November: Dhs2.74 December: Dhs2.61 All prices include the five per cent VAT. UAE petrol prices in July: will petrol prices go up or down?
Fuel prices have held steady for three months – but will that change soon? Petrol heads and commuters, take note – UAE petrol prices for July 2025 will be announced any day now and the big question on everyone's mind is: are we about to see a hike at the pump? So far, it's been a relatively smooth ride. Petrol prices have remained virtually unchanged for the past three months, giving drivers a welcome breather after the fuel rollercoaster of 2024. For example, since June 1, prices at the pump have been: E-Plus 91: Dhs2.39 Special 95: Dhs2.47 Super 98: Dhs2.58 Diesel: Dhs2.45 That's the same price tag we saw in May and not much different from April. In fact, petrol is now considerably cheaper than this time last year – Special 95 was Dhs2.88 per litre in July 2024, compared to Dhs2.47 now. What's behind the fuel freeze? After wild swings in global oil prices throughout 2022 and 2023, things have cooled off. The UAE's Fuel Price Committee – which lifted the pandemic-era price freeze in 2021 – has let market forces dictate fuel rates ever since, meaning we get monthly price shifts based on international trends. But with global crude oil prices showing moderate stability lately, the UAE's petrol prices have followed suit. Diesel prices have seen the biggest shift recently, dipping from Dhs2.52 in May to Dhs2.45 in June. The new rates are expected to be announced in the final days of June, so all eyes are on the Fuel Price Committee. While current indicators suggest prices could stay stable for a fourth month, any fluctuations in global oil markets could push prices up or down. Until then, keep those tanks topped up – and watch this space. We'll update you the moment July's prices change. The UAE petrol price for June 2025 has officially been revealed. Announced by the UAE Fuel Price Committee, petrol prices have remained at the exact same level as last month but diesel is now cheaper. When are new fuel prices announced in the UAE? UAE petroleum prices will change next month (Credit: Supplied) Fuel prices in the UAE are announced on the final day of every month and come into force the following day. This means that the UAE Fuel Price Committee announced on Saturday May 31. Prices change the following day, on Sunday June 1. Fuel prices in the country were liberalised in 2015, with local rates being aligned with global oil prices. For the past 10 years, the fuel price committee has met on a monthly basis to announce revised rates. Super 95 petrol is an unleaded petroleum used by vehicles that require higher octane fuel to perform to their highest standard. E-Plus 91 petrol is the lowest grade of petrol available in the UAE. This is mainly used by fleets, commercial vehicles and standard cars. Diesel is known for its higher efficiency and is commonly found in buses, trains and large trucks. Do not put diesel in a car that requires unleaded fuel. How have UAE petrol prices changed over the past year? UAE petrol prices fluctuate based on a wide variety of factors – including seasonal variations, geopolitical events and global oil prices. This is reflected in the changing costs of petrol in the UAE since the start of 2024. In December, the price of petrol and diesel in the UAE reached its lowest point of 2024 and 2025 started things off with the exact same rates. UAE announces petrol prices for June 2025
Take note of these petrol prices… If you drive a vehicle, take note of how you will be paying for petrol and diesel in the UAE in June 2025. From June 1, 2025, Super 98 will cost Dhs2.58 per litre, which is the same as what we were paying in May 2025. Special 95 will also remain the same price as in May 2025, priced at Dhs2.47 per litre.
