Saudi Arabia: Passports Directorate Issues 12,711 Penalties For Violators In One Month
The General Directorate of Passports issued 12,711 administrative decisions through its regional committees during the month of Dhul Qada 1446 AH, penalizing violators of residency, labor, and border security regulations. The penalties include imprisonment and deportation. The Passports Directorate urged citizens, residents, business owners, and individuals to refrain from transporting, employing, sheltering, concealing, or assisting violators of residency, labor, or border security regulations in any way. It called on the public to report violations by dialing 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province, and 999 in other regions of the Kingdom.

Over 147,000 healthcare services provided to pilgrims until Saturday
Saudi Gazette report MINA — Saudi Arabia's integrated healthcare system has provided over 147,000 medical services to pilgrims from the start of this year's Hajj season on Dhul Qada 1, corresponding to April 29, until Saturday, Dhul Hijjah 11, corresponding to June 7. These services are part of the efforts to enhance service efficiency in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to safeguard pilgrims' health and facilitate safe and smooth rituals. Healthcare data revealed that over 80,603 pilgrims have benefited from primary healthcare centers, while emergency departments received 35,176 cases. Outpatient clinics attended to 7,541 patients, and hospitals admitted 5,619 cases, including 2,626 in intensive care. Additionally, 248 cardiac catheterizations and 18 open-heart surgeries were performed. The healthcare sector continues to intensify its efforts, utilizing advanced technologies and specialized personnel to create a supportive medical environment that enables pilgrims to complete their rituals with ease and tranquility.

Prophet's Mosque hosts over 12 million worshippers in 2 weeks
Saudi Gazette Report MADINAH — The General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque provided a comprehensive package of services to pilgrims during the pre-Hajj period, reflecting its continuous care for worshippers and visitors and its commitment to facilitating their worship in a safe and organized environment. According to recently released statistics, 12,914,153 worshippers visited the Prophet's Mosque between Dhul Qada 15 and Dhul Hijjah 1, with the Holy Rawdah receiving 666,580 visitors during the same timeframe. Beyond facilitating prayer, the authority extended a wide array of services to pilgrims. These included providing transportation services in the courtyards to 161,802 beneficiaries, distributing 301,802 Iftar meals to those fasting, and supplying 218,336 bottles of Zamzam water, with total Zamzam consumption reaching 3,360 tons. Environmental care and cleanliness were also paramount. Teams removed 312 tons of waste and used 41,675 liters of disinfectants and sterilizers throughout the mosque, with an additional 10,950 liters allocated for other facilities. To further enhance the spiritual ambiance, the mosque was perfumed with seven kilograms of incense and 39 liters of luxurious perfumes and oils. These extensive efforts reflect the profound care provided by the wise leadership to the Prophet's Mosque and are a key part of the approved operational plans for the Hajj season, aimed at delivering the finest services to pilgrims and ensuring their comfort and peace of mind during their visit.

Supreme Court urges Muslims to look for Dhul Hijjah crescent on Tuesday
Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — The Saudi Supreme Court has called on Muslims across the Kingdom to look for the crescent moon of Dhul Hijjah on Tuesday evening, 29 Dhul Qada, corresponding to May 27. In a statement issued on Sunday, the Supreme Court urged anyone who sights the crescent moon with the naked eye or through binoculars to promptly report to the nearest court and submit their testimony or contact the nearest town center for assistance in reaching the nearest court. The Supreme Court expressed hope that those capable of sighting the moon will join the committees established for this purpose in various regions of the Kingdom. "They will receive reward from God for participating in this as it promotes cooperation in righteousness and piety and benefits all Muslims," the Supreme Court added in its statement.
