Ayodhya: The temple Dhwaj (flag) atop Ram Temple in Ayodhya is all set to be hoisted in November. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to attend the event which will be attended by thousands of guests and devotees. So far, the Ram Temple Trust is learnt to have shortlisted two dates for the event – November 16 or 25. Preparations for the proposed flag-hoisting ceremony are gaining momentum on the temple compound. PM Modi attending the event will be subject to confirmation from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). According to the information provided by the temple sources, the main Dhwaj will be hoisted atop the 161-foot-high spire of the Ram Temple. Besides, other smaller dhwajas will be hoisted on the spires of all other temples within the complex. The event is regarded as a significant step towards the completion of the temple's construction. Ram temple trustee Anil Mishra said that the final programme for the event is being readied and will be shared with the media soon. According to a senior official in the Ayodhya administration, the temple trust and administrative machinery have started the process of booking rooms in the hotels while additional accommodation is being arranged in major dharamshalas and guest houses. According to the temple sources, an auspicious time for the ceremony in November is being determined by astrologers. Discussions are on to choose one of the two auspicious dates: November 16 or November 25. The Dhwaj will be hoisted on the temple spire amid Vedic chants, music, and special worship rituals. Various types of rituals will be part of the event. A Ram Katha may also be organized. On this occasion, several renowned musicians and artists from across the country will perform, adding to the grandeur of the ceremony.
