First it was the preppy 'Bila Nak Kahwin', elegant Amira Othman now returns with 'Dalam Sujudku', theme song for drama 'Dia Bukan Syurga'
Known for her emotionally charged ballads, Amira Othman won many fans with her preppy tune "Bila Nak Kahwin" earlier this year. But she is back at her favourite ground with the new ballad 'Dalam Sujudku'. Famous also for her spiritual songs, acclaimed singer Amira Othman makes a powerful return with 'Dalam Sujudku', a soul-stirring new single that captures the anguish and resilience of a woman in emotional turmoil. Composed and produced by the prolific Farouk Roman with lyrics by Senna, 'Dalam Sujudku' tells the story of a woman trapped in a toxic relationship, clinging to hope and seeking solace in prayers despite her growing despair. The song has been selected as the main theme for the highly anticipated drama "Dia Bukan Syurga", adapted from the bestselling novel by Rissa Ahdiya. The series premiered on Astro Ria's MegaDrama slot on 19 May 2025. Amira said during the official launch of the song by Sony Music Malaysia that she is extremely happy with the fans who have been enthusiastic with her efforts this year. "I didn't expect the incredible response from the fans for this song. I'm just so excited with the outcome. This is indeed a suerb year so far and I just it gets better in the second half of the year," said Amira. The 31-year-old songstress also added that she will be also be involved with her first 'Showcase' live show this year and it is expected to be held in August. As for the new single, accompanied by Amira's poignant vocals, 'Dalam Sujudku' reflects the inner conflict of Nuha, the drama's central character — a wife emotionally stifled and manipulated by her husband, Tajul. Lyrics like 'If I am killed by love, let it die in your heart' and 'Dear God, I beg in my prostration — if this is my fate, then strengthen my soul' echo Nuha's struggle, faith, and quiet strength as she battles the pain of a relationship that is slowly breaking her spirit. Directed by celebrated filmmaker Rashid Sibir and produced by Radius One Sdn Bhd, Dia Bukan Syurga stars Ezzanie Jasny, Niezam Zaidi, and Nazim Othman. The drama follows Nuha's emotional journey through a toxic marriage with Tajul and her eventual rediscovery of self-worth when she reconnects with her past love, Arham. 'Dalam Sujudku' is more than just a theme song — it is the emotional heartbeat of the drama, giving voice to women who remain hopeful and faithful even in the darkest moments of love. With its heartfelt message of strength, surrender, and healing, the song resonates deeply with anyone who has faced the pain of emotional abuse yet continues to believe in the light ahead. Dalam Sujudku is now available on all digital streaming platforms. #SHOWBIZ: Amira on Fattah: 'I don't deny that I'm riding on his popularity'
KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Amira Othman openly shared, "I don't deny that I've been riding on Fattah Amin's popularity." The 31-year-old has recently become a frequent subject in entertainment news, a notable shift from before, despite having been in the industry since 2013, when she participated in Akademi Fantasia. Amira admitted that her close association with the popular 34-year-old single father has brought her increased attention. "Since he has so many fans out there, everything he does is closely scrutinised by them. And, of course, being close to him means I also get some attention," Amira said when speaking to reporters yesterday at an exclusive event held here to promote her single, 'Dalam Sujudku'. The song, alongside Hazama's 'Aku Bukan Narsisis', serves as the soundtrack for the drama series, Dia Bukan Syurga. Both tracks were composed and written for the series by the renowned music maestro, Farouk Roman. Meanwhile, Amira also revealed that she was recently hospitalised for five days due to food poisoning, which also affected her sister. "It led to hypotension, but that's now under control," she said. It was during this time that she received a bouquet of flowers from Fattah and a visit from his mother, further fuelling speculation about the seriousness of their relationship. "I also received flowers from others," she said with a plastered smile, deflecting questions from the reporters.
