Teddi Mellencamp confirms split from Ricci Rea
Teddi Mellencamp has split from Ricci Rea. The 44-year-old TV star was spotted with a mystery man last month and it was subsequently revealed that she was dating the producer - but Teddi has now revealed that she's already ended their romance. During an appearance on the Diamonds in the Rough podcast, Teddi shared: "You guys, [the] press needs to get on it a little bit faster because by the time they figured out who my mystery man was, we're already done. "I had to call things off. "All of a sudden, I open up the freaking worldwide web. I'm like, 'The mystery man.' Oh, now you guys figured it out." Teddi described Ricci as a "really nice guy". However, she doesn't think she's ready for a serious romance at this point in time. The reality star - who split from her husband, Edwin Arroyave, in 2024 - said: "Right now, it started getting to the point where it's starting to get a little bit more serious. I was like, 'I don't have the capacity for this right now.' "He's a really nice guy, couldn't be a nicer guy." "I don't feel my best. So, when I have downtime, I want to rest. It's not even, like, about a need right now, and I think that's the crazy thing about this." Meanwhile, Teddi recently confessed that she's ignoring "hard conversations" about the future. The reality star was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer earlier this year after she was found to have multiple tumours on her brain and lungs, and although she has successfully undergone immunotherapy - which has seen the growths "significantly" shrink - Teddi is "in denial" of her physical condition. Speaking on her Two Ts in a Pod podcast, she said: "I think it's really hard being in a place where, I kind of am in denial of where I am physically. And when other people are not in denial, it's hard. "My family wants to have like the hard conversations, and I don't ... They want to talk about things like the future, or medically, exactly how I'm doing, and I don't want to talk about it."

She made the admission on her Diamonds in the Rough podcast which she co-hosts with her former RHOBH co-star, Erika Jayne. "It started getting to the point where it's starting to get a little bit more serious," Teddi admitted, adding that she realized, "I don't have the capacity for this right now." She added that Ricci was "a really nice guy," but "I don't feel my best, so when I have downtime I want to rest." Teddi explained how her cancer treatment has affected her relationships and how she's had to set boundaries with others. "I've had to make it clear to people I've dated [that] this is where I am. This is what I've got," "If it's enough for you, great. If it's not enough, I won't be upset. I mean, yes, my feelings will probably be hurting, but this is all I got to give. And if that's enough, great.' Even though she split from Ricci, the reality star and daughter of rocker John Mellencamp revealed she is dating a new man. "I haven't had to say any of those things, but he is really sweet and kind," she said. She spoke of a date that she went on recently with her new man. Teddi previously her life with then-husband Edwin Arroyave and her three kids Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 5, until she left the show in 2020. Teddi's cancer battle Teddi Mellencamp was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma in 2022, and had 17 spots removed. Three years later, after suffering from "severe and debilitating headaches," the reality star discovered the cancer had spread to her brain. Four brain tumors were immediately removed, but doctors later discovered three more brain tumors and three tumors on her lungs. In April 2025, she announced her cancer was stage 4. The remaining tumors have shrunk from treatment, and Teddi says she's "feeling good and happy." Teddi hopes she will become cancer-free in the near future. "Doctors believe I will be healed if everything stays on course," she told fans. She split from Edwin last November, and though the divorce was initially messy, the exes are now getting along well as she undergoes cancer treatment. Teddi Mellencamp's new boyfriend is "really sweet and kind". The 43-year-old TV star has tried to keep the identity of her new man under wraps, but Teddi has offered an insight into their burgeoning romance. Speaking on the Diamonds in the Rough podcast, Teddi shared: "I've had to make it clear to people I've dated [that] this is where I am. This is what I've got. "If it's enough for you, great. If it's not enough, I won't be upset. I mean, yes, my feelings will probably be hurting, but this is all I got to give. And if that's enough, great." Teddi then shared some details about their relationship, revealing that her boyfriend has been a really supportive influence in her life. The reality TV star - who has Slate, 12, Cruz, ten, and Dove, five, with her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave - said: "He is really sweet and kind. I know I deserve it, and it's really nice." Teddi is battling stage four cancer but previously revealed that her tumours had all either "shrunk or disappeared". She said: "If for some reason you realise you need somebody that doesn't have three kids, 1 million activities to do, 87 podcasts, you want more time than I'm able to give? I understand. "I would not be mad at you for not even a second. He's like, 'I am willing to do anything to be able to spend time with you.'" Teddi previously explained that she wants to keep her boyfriend's identity a secret because he's a "private person". Speaking on her Two Ts In a Pod podcast, which she co-hosts with Tamra Judge, Teddi said: "I'm dating somebody. "He's very kind to me, he's taking good care of me. He's nice … he's not married, he doesn't have any kids. But he's also a private person."
