iPhone 17 Pro colourways: iPhone 17 Pro's new color leak has taken the spotlight, with rumor reports hinting at a bold copper‑orange finish that could join classic shades like black, silver, and dark blue . This 'all‑new unique color option' follows Apple's tradition of surprise highlights and may expand the lineup with five distinct hues—a move that could redefine personalization in Apple's iPhone flagship series. As the iPhone 17 Pro gears up for its expected September 2025 launch, the color shift adds fresh intrigue to its launch narrative. With Apple's design choices shaping the tone once again, this leak is sparking speculation—and elevating excitement—among fans and accessories makers alike. iPhone 17 Pro launch date in India (Expected) Apple usually follows a consistent launch schedule, and the iPhone 17 base model is expected to be revealed between September 11-13, 2025. Pre-orders could begin immediately after the official unveiling, and if Apple sticks to its traditional timeline, the iPhone 17 series may go on sale around September 19, 2025. iPhone 17 Pro colourways leaked iPhone 17 lens protection cover will match the phone color. The orange one for the Pro Max might hint at a new shade, possibly dark gold or copper. Dickson posted pictures of purported lens covers for the rear cameras on the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models on social media today. The photographs were labeled with the following five colors: orange, dark blue, silver, gray, and black. While the dark blue lens cover raises the possibility that Apple will bring back the Blue Titanium color option that it provided for the iPhone 15 Pro models, the black, gray, and silver hues most likely match the current Black Titanium, Natural Titanium, and White Titanium finishes for the iPhone 16 Pro models. The most noteworthy is the orange lens cover, which may indicate a brand-new copper hue that Apple has never before provided for any iPhone models. It's unknown whether Apple decided on these color schemes or whether the photos are real. Over the years, Dickson has posted pictures of dummy phones, cases, CAD files, and other parts associated with upcoming iPhone models regularly. These pictures frequently show new color possibilities or design modifications. We will know if these colors are the genuine deal in just two months as Apple is expected to reveal the iPhone 17 series in September. iPhone 17 Pro's other expected specifications Aluminium frame: The iPhone X through iPhone 14 Pro models have a stainless steel frame, while the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro models have titanium frames. Rumour has it that the iPhone 17 Pro models will have aluminium frames. A new "part-aluminium, part-glass" design will reportedly be on the devices' backs. Rectangular camera bump: A sizable, rectangular camera hump with rounded corners is anticipated on iPhone 17 Pro versions. Apple intends to continue using a triangle for the rear camera lenses. Sky Blue finish: The iPhone 17 Pro variants will reportedly be offered in a Sky Blue hue, just like the most recent MacBook Air. Greater battery capacity: There are rumours that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will have a slightly thicker body to accommodate a larger next-generation A19 Pro chip, which is anticipated to be produced using TSMC's more recent third-generation 3nm technology, is expected to be used in iPhone 17 Pro variants. You may expect slight power economy and performance improvements over the current iPhones. Wi-Fi 7 chip created by Apple: It is rumoured that Apple, not Broadcom, will provide the Wi-Fi 7 chip for all four iPhone 17 versions. 24-megapixel front camera: All iPhone 16 models have a 12-megapixel front-facing camera, whereas all four iPhone 17 models are rumoured to have an enhanced 24-megapixel camera. 48-megapixel rear-facing telephoto camera: Rumour has it that the iPhone 17 Pro models will get a 48-megapixel telephoto camera instead of the 12-megapixel one found on the iPhone 16 Pro models. Dual video recording: The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will enable users to concurrently record video with the front and rear cameras using the Camera app, according to Jon Prosser of the Front Page Tech YouTube channel. 8K video recording: Although it is still unavailable, Apple is said to have tested 8K video recording on the iPhone 16 Pro models. It's possible that 8K video recording will debut on the iPhone 17 Pro versions, which are anticipated to include a fully 48-megapixel rear camera. 12GB of RAM: Rumour has it that the iPhone 17 Pro and possibly the iPhone 17 Air will have 12GB of RAM. Multitasking and Apple Intelligence performance should both be enhanced by this update. 8GB of RAM is a feature shared by all four iPhone 16 versions. Better cooling: It is rumoured that internal design modifications in all four iPhone 17 variants would improve heat dissipation. There have been rumours about a vapour chamber cooling technology, particularly for the Pro models. Repositioned Apple logo: Compared to earlier generations, the iPhone 17 Pro models may have a lower placement for Apple's logo on the rear. Quicker MagSafe charging: With a new iteration of Apple's MagSafe Charger, iPhone 17 Pro models might have quicker MagSafe wireless charging speeds. iPhone 17 Pro expected price The base model from the series will cost AED 3799 in Dubai, $799 in the US, and Rs 79,999 in India. In contrast, the iPhone 17 Air will likely retail for Rs 89,999 in India and $899 in the US. However, the Pro version might cost about Rs 1,39,900, and the Pro Max version would cost Rs 1,64,900 to deliver. As of yet, the price has not been confirmed.

iPhone 17 Pro Max just leaked in a surprising new color — get ready for orange
We know Apple is preparing to launch its iPhone 17 models in September, as the company has dropped new phones just about every year at that time. Details of the phone are still up in the air, with some reliable leaks having dropped here and there, including the potential for a new iPhone 17 Pro design. A new leak from Sonny Dickson on X reveals potential colors for the top-of-the-line iPhone 17 Pro Max, as indicated by small color inserts within the camera module. The usual suspects are all there — black, gray, silver and dark blue. But there's an orange color that's certainly unexpected. It's worth noting that we're only seeing a slight hint of the color, and it could be more of a copper than a traditional orange, as it's hard to tell the exact shade from the image Dickson shared. The image also reveals what could be all the colors for the iPhone models based on the cameras. The iPhone 17 will reportedly come in black, gray, silver, light blue, light green and light purple. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Air could come in black, silver, blue-gray and light gold. Orange is my favorite color, and I'm due for a new iPhone (currently using an iPhone 14 Pro Max), so I'd be extremely happy to snag an orange iPhone 17 Pro Max if this color becomes a reality. Even if it's a darker copper color with a hint of orange, I'd prefer it over the standard black, gray, silver and dark blue that'll reportedly be available. We're still a couple of months away from the launch of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, so plenty more rumors will drop between now and then. Some will be accurate, some will be false. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. So far, we've heard about big changes coming to the Dynamic Island. In a minor change, Apple may be relocating the logo on the back of the iPhone 17 Pro models to a different position. It seems like an odd change, but with the rumored redesign of the camera module, a change to the overall back of the phone makes sense. For performance, photos have appeared showing off the vapor chamber that could be featured in the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

What's known about the attack on eight-year-old girl in Quadeville, Ont.
Residents of a small eastern Ontario community will be seeking answers at a police town hall on Saturday about a disturbing attack on an eight-year-old girl that investigators initially linked to an animal, prompting fear and confusion. The gathering is expected to offer an opportunity for people in Quadeville, about 170 kilometres west of Ottawa, to express their concerns and hear from Ontario Provincial Police about the attack that shook the community. Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy in the case who has been charged with attempted murder and sexual assault with a weapon. While the investigation is still underway, police are planning to give as much information as possible to locals 'to ensure they know how serious we are about ensuring that we brought this to a conclusion,' OPP spokesperson Bill Dickson said. Here's what we know about the case so far. HOW THE POLICE INVESTIGATION UNFOLDED OPP officers from the emergency response team and canine units responded to a call for a missing child in Quadeville shortly after 9 p.m. on June 23. After a few hours of searching, the canine unit found the girl with life-threatening injuries along Quadeville Road shortly after midnight on June 24. The child was brought to a local hospital and later taken to a regional trauma centre where she remains. On June 25, the OPP said in a press release that a child had been injured in an 'incident' that investigators believed to be an animal attack, adding that 'further testing and analysis' was required. The girl's wounds were 'consistent with an animal attack,' and the theory was supported by 'multiple medical and pathology experts,' Dickson said. Investigators said they were working with the Ministry of Natural Resources and advised parents in the area to keep their small children indoors or under close supervision as a precaution. On July 4, just a little over a week after the girl was found, the OPP said they were seeking a potential witness who was in the Quadeville area before the attack. Police described this witness as a man in his 60s who may have information that could help police. It's unclear whether the witness was ever identified or had any role in the investigation. Investigators once again told parents to 'remain vigilant' by keeping their children under close supervision while outside, adding that animal traps had been set out in the area as a 'precautionary measure.' TEEN ARRESTED, CHARGES LAID As the investigation continued, police discovered that there were no traces of animal DNA from the victim's wounds, Dickson said. 'Even though we did suspect it was an animal attack, we kept going because you can't have tunnel vision,' Dickson said, adding that investigators didn't rule out the possibility of human involvement. On Tuesday, exactly two weeks after the child was found, the OPP arrested and charged a 17-year-old boy from eastern Ontario in connection with the alleged attack. Because the suspect is a minor, he cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Police said he appeared in court on Wednesday. COMMUNITY REACTION The tight-knit community was shaken by the news of the teenager's arrest, although some residents said they doubted the animal attack theory from the start. 'We are from a rural town, we know what teeth marks would look like,' said Christine Hudder, who lives about four kilometres away and who helped her sons organize a lemonade stand that raised $400 for the girl last week. Hudder said she hopes police will provide more clarity on Saturday about why they initially suspected an animal attack and why families were told to keep their children indoors. Currently on hiatus A review of funny, uplifting news in Winnipeg and around the globe. In a community where everybody knows everybody, Hudder said she was taken aback by initial reports of the missing child. 'That never happens in Quadeville,' she said. Wanda Resmer, secretary of the local community centre, said it will take time for the fear to dissipate and for the community to heal. 'People are never going to forget it. Probably every day of our life, it'll be in our minds,' she said. This report by The Canadian Press was first published July 11, 2025.

Quadeville attack: ‘A miracle' Ontario child survived brutal assault, police say
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say it's 'a miracle' a little girl survived a brutal assault in eastern Ontario last month that has led police to charging a 17-year-old teen. Shortly after 9 p.m. on June 23, an eight-year-old girl was reported missing in Quadeville, Ont. — southeast of Barry's Bay and about 170 km away from Ottawa. The girl was found shortly after midnight on June 24, OPP said. Police said she was in life-threatening condition and was rushed to hospital where she still remains. During the initial investigation, police said the cause of her injuries was unclear and investigators first suspected it have been an animal attack, but that further testing and analysis was required. As a precaution, police asked parents in the Quadeville area to keep their children indoors or under close supervision. Story continues below advertisement 'We really did suspect that this was an animal attack based on the horrific injuries and wounds that this eight-year-old had suffered,' OPP media relations manager Bill Dickson told Global News on Thursday. 'It did really appear as though it was an animal-caused incident … the wounds were so horrific, and multiple life-threatening injuries.' 0:36 Ontario child suffers potentially life-threatening injuries in suspected animal attack However, Dickson re-iterated that investigators were not focused on that theory, and did not rule out human involvement or other aspects. 'The fact that she survived is a miracle,' Dickson added. A 17-year-old teenager from eastern Ontario was arrested on July 8, and he has been charged with attempted murder and sexual assault with a weapon on a minor, specifically to a person under 16. Story continues below advertisement Dickson said those charges stem from test evidence done at the hospital and information that came to light during the investigation. Given he is under 18, he cannot be identified due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, police said. The OPP said it is planning to host a townhall on June 12 in Quadeville to address questions and concerns from local residents. However, an exact time and place has not yet been released. 'This has been such a traumatic time, not just for one little girl and her family, but for the whole community,' he said. 'That's why we want to meet with the folks in Quadeville this weekend to put aside any misconceptions or misunderstandings that are out there about what's gone on. We will try to give them any answers we can.'
