Ibrahim Ali Khan To Romance Rasha Thadani In Coming-Of-Age Love Story; Deets Inside
Last Updated: After Nadaaniyan, Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim Ali Khan will reportedly star opposite Raveena Tandon's daughter Rasha Thadani in a YA love story. Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's son Ibrahim Ali Khan made his acting debut with the film Nadaaniyan, which was released on Netflix in March. Post that, he has some exciting films in the pipeline- including Sarzameen, co-starring Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Diler opposite Sreeleela. Now, according to a report in Mid Day, Ibrahim will also be seen in a YA (young adult) love story opposite Raveena Tandon's daughter Rasha Thadani, who made her debut with the film Azaad earlier this year. Ibrahim Ali Khan And Rasha Thadani's Upcoming Film Although the director's name is still under wraps, it has been revealed that Ibrahim Ali Khan and Rasha Thadani have started preparing for the yet-untitled film. Ibrahim and Rasha have reportedly engaged in reading sessions and workshops. The filmmakers were focused on casting not just a glamorous pair, but actors capable of capturing the essence of first love. 'Ibrahim and Rasha have been doing reading sessions and workshops. The makers were clear that they didn't want only a glamorous pair, but two actors who could tap into the awkward, exhilarating energy of first love. Rasha and Ibrahim clicked from the first meeting," a source told Mid Day. This love story will mark Ibrahim Ali Khan's second venture into the genre following the heavily criticised Nadaaniyan. While Ibrahim's debut was in a romantic comedy, he will take on intense roles in Sarzameen and Diler, the latter showcasing him as a marathon runner. After these challenging performances, this coming-of-age film aims to highlight his softer and more relatable side. Filming is slated to begin in October, with completion expected early next year. In April this year, Ibrahim and Rasha were seen enjoying the Mumbai Indians versus Sunrisers Hyderabad cricket match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Looking stylish and cheerful, Ibrahim and Rasha were seen enjoying the game from the VIP stands. Rasha, in a chic white jacket, was seen animatedly reacting to the on-field action—clapping, cheering and even throwing a wink after a well-timed boundary. Ibrahim, in a casual black tee, kept it cool and low-key, but their camaraderie didn't go unnoticed. While Ibrahim made his acting debut with Nadaaniyan opposite Khushi Kapoor, Rasha was seen in Abhishek Kapoor's period action drama film 'Azaad' co-starring Aaman Devgan. It was theatrically released on 17th January, 2025, and failed to perform well at the box office.

Jugal Hansraj Defends Ibrahim Ali Khan Against Nadaaniyan Debacle: 'People Can Be Kinder'
Last Updated: Jugal Hansraj said he felt a natural fatherly instinct towards Ibrahim Ali Khan. Actor Jugal Hansraj was recently seen in Nadaaniyan as Ibrahim Ali Khan's father. The film marked Ibrahim's Bollywood debut, and as such, anticipation was high. However, the film didn't perform well, and Ibrahim was subjected to massive trolling on social media. In a recent interview, Jugal defended Ibrahim and spoke about his camaraderie with the actor. Jugal Hansraj said, 'The feedback can be constructive, not personal. People can be kinder, and that's lacking sometimes." He added, 'Being in films is a public job. One has to be ready for criticism as well as the praise. You take everything in your stride and just move on." He said, 'I am very happy with the response. It was a good experience working with the team." As for his equation with Ibrahim Ali Khan, Jugal mentioned, 'He's a wonderful guy, very well-mannered. It was an absolute delight to work with him. The affection towards him, the fatherly affection, came naturally," Jugal Hansraj had been absent from our screens for quite some time before he was seen in Mismatched. His performance in Nadaaniyan was then appreciated when the film was released on Netflix. He said, 'I get a lot of different kinds of roles now. Mismatched featured me as a flamboyant character. In Nadaaniyan, I was a doctor-father. Mismatched was my first big OTT show. I have a couple more releases this year." Meanwhile, as for Ibrahim Ali Khan, he will next be seen in Sarzameen. The film, with a patriotic theme, is described as a hard-hitting drama following an army officer's relentless mission to fight terrorism in Kashmir, with Ibrahim Ali Khan playing a crucial role. Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran also have significant, yet undisclosed, roles in the project. Directed by Kayoze Irani, the movie is co-produced by Karan Johar. Ibrahim also has another project, a sports drama titled Diler, in the works. The film reportedly revolves around the life of a marathoner and stars South actress Sreeleela opposite him. Ibrahim Ali Khan Feels Dad Saif Ali Khan Is 'Happier' With Kareena Kapoor
When asked how his parents' divorce affected him, Ibrahim shared that Amrita and Saif were always thoughtful and sensitive about how they managed things around him and Sara. 'I was four or five years old, so I don't remember much. It was probably different for Sara as she was older. But my mom and dad have done a great job of ensuring I didn't feel the pain that comes with a broken home. I never saw them lose their cool at each other. Some things are just not meant to be," he shared. 'Now my dad is much happier with Bebo (Kareena Kapoor) and I've got two very handsome and naughty brothers. And my mom is the best mother ever. She takes great care of me, and I live with her. It's all good," Ibrahim Ali Khan added. Even though Nadaaniyan didn't get the warmest response after its Netflix release, Ibrahim is staying optimistic, holding on to two key pieces of advice – one from his dad, Saif Ali Khan, and the other from Priyanka Chopra. 'From two people. My dad said this is not the year 2000 when a star can just walk around in a movie and it can be a blockbuster. Today you must be very prepared, and be a quick learner. Most importantly, he said the script and the filmmaker are two things you cannot compromise on," he said. He continued, 'The second one was from – Priyanka Chopra. She sent me a very sweet -message saying she watched the film and thinks I have a bright future. She said I have to hold my head high and keep grinding; and that I must grow a thick skin. Coming from someone as accomplished as she is, I felt really comforted and motivated." In another interview with GQ India, Ibrahim revealed that not only do the audiences make the comparison between him and his father, but his own mother, actress Amrita Singh, often remarks on how much he reminds her of a young Saif— particularly when the two are arguing. Ibrahim said, 'Sometimes. At home, it's scary when my mom and I are arguing and she goes, 'Oh, you remind me of Saif.' And I'm like, 'Oh god, okay!' What do I even say to her then?" Back in the '90s, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh were among Bollywood's most buzzed-about couples. They tied the knot in 1991, when Saif was just 21 and Amrita was 33. Over the years, they welcomed two children, Sara and Ibrahim Ali Khan, before going their separate ways and finalising their divorce in 2004, after 13 years together. On the work front, Ibrahim Ali Khan is gearing up for two upcoming films — Sarzameen and Diler.
