Detroit Tigers bat boy Frankie Boyd named to American League All-Star team

The Detroit Tigers are sending another team member to the 2025 All-Star Game, but it might not be who you'd expect. Tigers ball crew member Frankie Boyd has been voted to represent the American League at the All-Star Game, with the Philadelphia Phillies' Adam Crognale voted to represent the National League. Boyd was one of four semifinalists on the ballot, with voting ending on Tuesday, July 8. Advertisement Tigers players like Riley Greene and Dillon Dingler have been advocating for Boyd's inclusion in the All-Star Game, with Dingler calling him the "best bat boy in the league." The All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday, July 15 (8 p.m. ET, Fox).
