It's happening: Yas Waterworld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi's new expansion is now open to visitors
Pack your swimsuits, slather on the SPF and round up the family – Yas Waterworld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi's new expansion is finally open.
The award-winning waterpark has unlocked an exciting new chapter with the launch of its expanded zone, which is packed with over 20 new rides, slides and experiences, taking the grand total of splashy rides, slides and experiences to 60.
The new 13,445sqm expansion brings a fresh twist to the already beloved waterpark.
Among the highlights is Al Falaj Race, the region's first-ever side-by-side duelling tube raft ride. Think friendly rivalry, lots of splashes and a few unexpected turns.
For younger adventurers, Al Sahel Junior introduces the region's first mini zero-gravity boomerango, a scaled-for-size thrill that doesn't skimp on the fun.
And then there's Bahamut's Rage, a high-thrill log flume-style ride that promises plenty of drama from the very first drop.
Another one is called Al Mafras, a winding desert-themed water slide designed just for kids. Red Dunes, a twisting closed aqua tube delivers a high-speed swirl of excitement.
Little ones will also love the Mini Dawwama, a smaller version of the iconic tornado ride – ideal for first-time daredevils.
And if it's splashy surprises you're after, make your way to the interactive Bandit's Playground, located in the all-new Bandit's Village. It's full of secret passageways, pop-up jets and plenty of room to cool off and cause mischief.
The fun continues with Mataha Madness, a maze of wild turns and tangled slides, while Sadaf Swirl throws you into the heart of the action with its spinning water vortex.
Whether you're racing your friends, testing your courage or simply soaking it all in, there's something to keep every age entertained.
When it's time to refuel, cool off at Dockside Dining, Yas Waterworld's newest and only indoor restaurant, the perfect pit stop before heading back in for round two.
