81st NGF to Host 820 Brands in Mumbai from July 14–16
The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) is set to host the 81st edition of the National Garment Fair (NGF), dedicated to Womenswear and Menswear, from July 14–16, 2025, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.
Bringing together 480 womenswear and 340 menswear brands, along with 40 accessories brands, the show will span over 36,000 sqm of exhibition space. This phase is expected to draw 20,000+ buyers from across India, offering a focused B2B platform ahead of the festive and wedding season.
The NGF comes at a pivotal time as India's apparel sector navigates changing consumer preferences and rising demand for branded fashion in Tier II and III cities. Industry data cited by CMAI President Santosh Katariya projects menswear to grow from US$38B to US$58B and womenswear from US$36B to US$55B by 2029, driven by ethnic, casual, and western influences.
Rohit Munjal, Vice President & Chairman of CMAI's Fair Sub-Committee, highlighted NGF's role in strengthening core apparel categories, which form over 75% of India's clothing market. The fair offers retailers an opportunity to discover emerging trends and forge meaningful partnerships.
Anand Chokshi, Joint Chairman of the Fair Sub-Committee, emphasized menswear's evolution towards ethnic and casualwear, and womenswear's shift toward fusion fashion and occasion-specific choices, further accelerated by women leading household apparel decisions.
Leading brands on display will include Double Bull, Dof, John Morris, Azzurro, Go Colors, Juniper, Diya Design Studio, and Four Buttons, among others.
With a legacy of 80 successful editions, the NGF continues to reinforce its stature as India's definitive sourcing platform for apparel, empowering retailers, manufacturers, and designers with a curated and category-driven experience.
