Ricki Lake, every millennial's favorite TV babysitter, is providing us with all the before-and-after details of her cosmetic procedure. The former talk show host revealed she underwent a lower face and neck lift on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and on July 18, she shared a post on Instagram reflecting on her "brave choice" after losing weight. She met with all the top docs in the country. So thankful for her going first." Ricki explained that after her weight loss journey, she wanted to focus on adjusting her facial features. "I had lost 40 lbs and did not like the extra skin that hung from below my chin," she wrote. "It was never going to tighten up on its own. Not at 55. Trust me, when I tell you, I still felt extra cute and loved myself regardless, especially after working so hard to get in the best shape of my life." Ricki Lake celebrated the one-year anniversary of her facelift on Instagram this week, after going public with the procedure last month. The 56-year-old talk-show icon has embarked on a long process of revamping her appearance, slimming down and arriving at her 130lb goal by January. However the process of losing weight left her with 'extra skin that hung from below my chin,' so in July 2024 she went under the knife to have it tightened. She openly discussed the procedure for the first time on TV this June, saying she was 'fully transparent' and did not 'want there to be any stigma.' Now she has fired up her Instagram to share a suite of photos documenting the process, including a side-by-side before-and-after comparison. 'One year ago today I did a thing,' she wrote Friday. 'Yes, today July 18th, is the one year anniversary of my deep plane lower face and neck lift, plus a mild co2 laser.' She showered praise on her Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Allen Foulad, saying she 'was in the best of hands' and calling him 'a true master in his field.' Ricki revealed: 'After a dear friend had the most incredible experience with Dr, Foulad, I made the decision to follow in her footsteps.' The Hairspray actress explained the thinking that led to the surgery, saying: 'I had lost 40 lbs and did not like the extra skin that hung from below my chin. 'I'll reveal this to you,' the Hairspray star, 56, said. 'I've had a lower face and neck lift.' When Cohen, 57, gushed over how 'good' Lake looked, she thanked him and said, 'I kind of think it's the best facelift I've ever seen.' She went on to give her 'genius' Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Allen Foulad, a shoutout. After dropping more than 30 pounds through diet and exercise, the former talk show host revealed another major change – a face and neck lift.
