Prominent Tipperary GAA club seeks permission to expand
Drom and Inch GAA Club, have applied to the local authority for the development of land as a playing pitch, the erection of new goals and ball stop netting, and the provision of fencing to proposed playing pitch on land at Drom, outside Templemore.
The installation of four dug outs, the provision of a car parking area along side existing playing pitch, together with all associated site works also form part of the plans lodged by the GAA club.
Tipperary County Council are due to make a decision on the planning application by August 21.
Founded in 1887, Drom and Inch is made up of players from the neighbouring townlands of Drom and Inch in north Tipperary.
In 2024, their camogie team brought home the Munster Senior Camogie Championship, while the club also produced Séamus Callinan, who went on to captain Tipperary in the 2019 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship.
