The Drunk Monk bar in Wrexham wins 'Best Pub' prize
The Drunk Monk is tucked away in Overton Arcade on Wrexham High Street.
Run by Kieran Irwin, his fiancée Dannii and Kieran's brother Sean, the business offers over 100 beers, mostly from breweries across Wales and England.
It just recently scooped the 'Best Pub' prize at the Best of North Wales Business Awards.
Kieran said: "It's a huge honour for us, and we're incredibly proud, especially as we've been quietly serving Wrexham for four years now. While some still don't know we exist, those who do often describe us as a hidden gem.
"The Drunk Monk is essentially a bit like a sweet shop for grown ups, with over 100 different beers on offer, mostly from amazing breweries right here in Wales and across England.
"Whether you're after a classic lager or more adventurous and would like a Mars Bar stout or a Screwball ice cream sour, we've probably poured it."

Kieran added: "We started the business four years ago as a hobby during lockdown, but it's grown so much.
"We're a small, family run team, my fiancée Dannii, my brother Sean, and myself, and we're passionate about craft beer and bringing something a little different to Wrexham.
"As I often say, there's something for everyone."
