Nine new shows added to Dubai Comedy Festival 2025 lineup
Dubai's biggest celebration of laughs is back, and it's growing. The Dubai Comedy Festival 2025, taking place from October 2 to 12, has just added nine new shows to its already stellar lineup, now spanning six languages and multiple venues across the city. New acts include David Voinson, the French internet sensation known for his 'blonde' character; Shawn Chidiac, aka My Parents Are Divorced , the Lebanese Canadian comedy content creator; viral South African hitmaker Masood Boomgaard and his 'de-motivational' alter ego Self-help Singh ; and bilingual comedy star Paul Taylor, of WTF France fame. Local favourite Emaad Siddiqui makes his festival debut with Three of Us , a high-energy theatrical set that captures growing up Desi in Dubai. Also joining the bill is Pakistani storyteller Abbas Bukhari with Small Talk , and not one but two Russian-language shows from Facepalm Comedy – including Stand-Up From Home: Dubai Style! and the Facepalm Stand-Up Comedy Show . Also making waves: Dubai's original German-language comedy night German Laugh Club, celebrating its five-year anniversary with a special show featuring RebellComedy trio Benaissa Lamroubal, Khalid Bounouar, and Salim Samatou. Produced by BRAG and presented by Dubai Calendar, the festival takes over top venues including Dubai Opera, Mall of the Emirates Theatres, and Coca-Cola Arena. Dubai Comedy Festival 2025 has just got even funnier as the latest lineup announcement will certainly be sure to make you giggle. Made in Chelsea royalty, couple Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo have just been announced as the newest who will grace the Dubai Opera stage. The duo will be bringing their latest version of their podcast NearlyParents on Saturday, October 11. You may recognise an earlier version of the podcast as NewlyWeds, which brought the same level of laughs as they discussed the highs and lows of being freshly married. The couple revealed their pregnancy in June and fans can expect a hilarious performance of sharp wit, raw honesty and lots of oversharing as they navigate everything it means to become parents. Here's who's joining the Dubai Comedy Festival 2025 in the second wave of announcements: Amer Zahr – The Palestinian-American comic and political satirist returns to Dubai Opera on October 11, following last year's sold-out show. Redouane Bougheraba – One of France's biggest comedy stars is bringing his signature Marseille humour and rapid-fire French storytelling to the stage on October 12. Ivan Abramov – The Russian sensation known for mixing intellect with absurdity brings his brand-new show Hi-Hi, Ha-Ha to Dubai Opera on October 12. Dubai Comedy Festival 2025 drops star-studded lineup
The festival will take place across the city from 2 to 12 October. If laughter is the best medicine, then the annual Dubai Comedy Festival 2025 is an overdose we all eagerly await. Returning for its next edition this autumn, the ten-day event will have audiences roaring with laughter as it descends upon Dubai from 2 to 12 October. And the headliners for the festival have just been unveiled. Presented by Dubai Calendar and collectively produced by BRAG, Live Nation, GME Events, and DXB Live, the Dubai Comedy Festival 2025 will take place across multiple hotspots in the city, including Dubai Opera and Coca-Cola Arena. Tom Segura This year's lineup includes Tom Segura, who will be kicking off the festival at Coca-Cola Arena on 2 October. He'll be followed by Omid Djalili, Akaash Singh, Morgan Jay, Joanne McNally and John Achkar throughout the next few days. The closing act will see Zakir Khan take to the stage on 12 October, promising a banging end to the festival. But that's not all. More names are expected to be announced soon. On 11 October, Arab-American comedian, activist, and law professor Amer Zahr returns after a sold-out show last year, delivering sharp, politically charged humour rooted in his Palestinian heritage. On 12 October, the spotlight turns to Marseille's own Redouane Bougheraba, whose charismatic blend of storytelling and improv has made him a viral sensation and the first French comic to headline a solo show at the Orange Vélodrome. That same night, Ivan Abramov brings his witty, offbeat new show Hi-Hi, Ha-Ha to Russian-speaking fans, fusing cultural quirks and personal anecdotes. Also taking the stage on 12 October is Delhi-based Gaurav Kapoor, whose Hindi set promises outrageous tales of married life, 90s nostalgia, and corporate madness—all delivered with the irreverent wit that's earned him an Amazon Prime special and legions of fans. Joanne McNally Past editions of the festival have featured the likes of Al Murray, Eddie Griffin, Frank Skinner, Gad Elmaleh, Maz Jobrani, Mo Amer, Mo Gilligan, and Russell Peters, hosting sell-out shows year after year in Dubai. The 2025 edition of the Dubai Comedy Festival aims to take things to the next level, featuring multilingual stand-up sets, hilarious activations, and late-night after-party fun. As well as providing a platform for the world's best in comedy, the festival is also proud to provide local and regional talents an opportunity to showcase their skills while transcending all cultures, backgrounds, and ages — as good comedy should. Morgan Jay Comedy is the best remedy in 2025, and tickets to the Dubai Comedy Festival are now available. However, prices vary depending on the show of interest.
