‘Duck Dynasty' Star Miss Kay Doing ‘So Much Better' After Health Scare
Duck Dynasty matriarch Miss Kay faced a series of health struggles after the death of her husband, Phil Robertston, on May 25. But today, Miss Kay is in better health—both mentally and physically. Here we take a look at the 77-year-old's struggles with depression and a serious fall, plus share an update on how the reality TV star is doing today. Miss Kay makes an 'unbelievable' health comeback In an interview with Fox News Digital on July 16, Phil and Miss Kay's son, Willie Robertson, shared a positive update on her health. "She is doing so much better," Willie said. "It's unbelievable how she made the turn. I think she was just really kind of depressed after Phil passed away. You know, you've been with somebody for 60 years, over 60 years, so just losing her soulmate and she is getting older.' 'She was struggling with that a bit, but man, she's bounced back, and she just went to church,' he continued. 'I think she's going out of town this weekend. She's traveling more. She's on our show.' Willie's wife, Korie Roberston, joked, 'She was on the 'Duck Call Room' podcast, and she said it was a proof of life video." Korie continued, 'She's been with us for a few things that we've been filming this week. So that's been really special… But yeah, she is getting older, and that comes with health issues, but she's doing really well." Miss Kay suffered previous health issues In April, Miss Kay's health had taken a downward turn following a fall that ultimately led to her being hospitalized. "She got an infection from a fall from a cut that had happened earlier," her son Jase Roberston, 55, explained on the Unashamed with the Robertson Family podcast. "We were dealing with the fact that maybe this is it." Miss Kay recovered from the infection, but soon faced more hardships as her husband Phil battled with Alzheimer's disease. Five months after the Robertson's made Phil's Alzheimer's diagnosis public, they announced his passing on social media. The Duck Dynasty patriarch died at 79, days before the premiere of Duck Dynasty: The Revival. 'We are grateful for his life on earth and will continue the legacy of love for God and love for others until we see him again,' Korie Robertson wrote to Duck Dynasty fans on Facebook. "We know so many of you love him and have been impacted by his life. We're having a private service for now, but we'll share details soon about a public celebration of his life." She struggled after her husband Phil's death Fans mourned the passing of Phil, sending love and prayers to the family amid the release of Duck Dynasty: The Revival. Miss Kay didn't attend the series premiere on June 1 in Monroe, Louisiana which concerned Duck Dynasty lovers. "Kay is not in the best of health," Willie, 53, told USA Today in an interview on June 5. "We're trying to help her out as much as we can." He said that many of Miss Kay's health struggles were related to Phil's passing. "Some of it is she is just depressed," he added. "She lost her partner of 60 years." "Mom was on the show at the beginning, so we have some sweet moments with her," Willie said. While Miss kay made an appearance in an early episode of the Duck Dynasty reboot, she was unable to be in later episodes due to her health. Want to read more about the Robertsons? Keep scrolling! Heritage Foundation founder Edwin J. Feulner dies at 83
Edwin J. Feulner, a prominent figure in the American conservative movement and co-founder and former president of the Heritage Foundation, died on Friday at the age of 83. Feulner served as the organization's president from 1977 to 2013 and again from 2017 to 2018. He was well known for transforming the once-obscure think tank into one of the most influential policy powerhouses in Washington, D.C. He was its longest-serving president after helping to create the Washington, D.C.-based think tank in 1973. "Ed Feulner was more than a leader—he was a visionary, a builder, and a patriot of the highest order," Heritage President Kevin Roberts and Board of Trustees Chairman Barb Van Andel-Gaby said in a joint statement. "His unwavering love of country and his determination to safeguard the principles that made America the freest, most prosperous nation in human history shaped every fiber of the conservative movement—and still do." David Gergen, Trusted White House Advisor To 4 Us Presidents Across Decades, Dies At 83 The group had organized Project 2025, a controversial initiative that offered right-wing policy recommendations for the second Trump administration. Feulner co-wrote the initiative's afterward and he and Roberts met with President Donald Trump ahead of last year's election. Feulner was also on Trump's transition team ahead of his first term. Read On The Fox News App Under his leadership, Heritage instituted a new model of conservative policy advocacy. This helped shape Reagan-era reforms and pushed market-based ideas into political mainstream. Feulner has remained active through Project 2025 and a transition plan for a second Trump term which is drawing praise and criticism for its hardline policy proposals. An author of nine books and a former congressional aide, he was also involved in various other conservative organizations. "Whether he was bringing together the various corners of the conservative movement at meetings of the Philadelphia Society, or launching what is now the Heritage Strategy Forum, Ed championed a bold, 'big-tent conservatism,'" Roberts and Andel-Gaby wrote. "He believed in addition, not subtraction. Unity, not uniformity. One of his favorite mantras was 'You win through multiplication and addition, not through division and subtraction.' His legacy is not just the institution he built, but the movement he helped grow—a movement rooted in faith, family, freedom, and the founding. " "His 'Feulnerisms' still resonate in the halls of Heritage—where they will always be remembered. 'People are policy,' for instance— the heartbeat of his mission—to equip, encourage, and elevate a new generation of conservative leaders, not just in Washington, but across this great country," the statement continued. "And we still remember his adjuration to never be complacent or discouraged: 'In Washington, there are no permanent victories and no permanent defeats.'" 'Duck Dynasty' Star Miss Kay Makes 'Unbelievable' Health Turnaround After Beloved Husband's Death Roberts and Andel-Gaby vowed to honor Feulner's life by "carrying his mission forward with courage, integrity, and determination." "Thank you for showing us what one faithful, fearless man can do when he refuses to cede ground in the fight for self-governance," the leaders said of Feulner. Heritage did not disclose Feulner's cause of death. Feulner is survived by his wife Lina, as well as their children and article source: Heritage Foundation founder Edwin J. Feulner dies at 83
