Hibs new boy Josh Mulligan has the togetherness within David Gray's squad was a driving factor in his decision to pen a four-year deal at Easter Road. The Scotland Under-21 international left Premiership rivals Dundee last month and has been linked with a number of clubs since his departure. However, it is Hibs that have secured his services as they continue to strengthen their squad in preparation for a return to European competition following a third place finish in the Premiership last season. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Mulligan experienced contrasting fortunes against Hibs last season after the Dark Blues claimed a 4-1 win over his new employers in November before Gray's men exacted revenge with a 4-0 victory at Easter Road in the final fixture before the Premiership split took in April. The winger admitted he is delighted to be forming part of the Hibs squad ahead of the new campaign after being impressed with what he witnessed from Gray's men last season. He told the club website: "I'm delighted. It's been a long time coming but yeah it's definitely worth the wait. I'm buzzing to be here and I just can't wait to get going. Obviously it's new for me. I've been at Dundee my whole life so it was sort of new but I think I dealt with it okay and now that this is done I'm just so happy and just can't wait to get going. "They (Hibs) were the first team that showed interest and that's usually a good sign. There was a few other teams but because Hibs last season playing against them and seeing how good they were and how well run they were, it was a no-brainer for me. "Towards the start of the season we won but they went 1-0 up and I was actually thinking during the game like these are a proper team here but I think they got a man sent off so the momentum in that game sort of shifted and then just the most recent game there they beat us quite comfortably and they were really, really good. Tough team to play against. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad "Obviously there's loads of good players in this squad but I think just the way they were playing with each other and the way they were playing I think that was what impressed me most and that's just someone I want to be a part of going forward.' (Photo by Ross Parker / SNS Group) | SNS Group Mulligan has become Gray's third summer signing after the Hibs boss completed a deal for Austrian goalkeeper Raphael Sallinger and secured the addition of Aberdeen midfielder Jamie McGrath after reaching a pre-contract agreement with the Republic of Ireland international earlier this year. Gray is relishing the opportunity to work with the former Dundee man and believes Mulligan's versatility will be an invaluable tool throughout what will be a hectic season at Easter Road. He said: 'Josh was one of the most eye-catching young players in the Scottish Premiership last season and has a lot of the attributes and characteristics we look for in our squad. He's a young player that's eager to progress and develop, and gives us extra options with his versatility as he is comfortable as a central midfielder or at right wing-back. We're delighted to add him to the group, and look forward to working with him moving forward.' Sporting director Malky Mackay added: 'Josh is someone we've been aware of for some time, and he performed excellently for Dundee last season. The number of senior games he's played at his age is impressive, and as a club we're keen to add young Scottish talent to our squad to help them reach their potential. Josh is another good character to add to the group, and I look forward to seeing him at Easter Road Stadium.' Rangers on brink of four transfers as Vaclav Cerny rules shift and Brighton 'sensation' secured
The club are ramping up their market moves with Russell Martin's first competitive game just around the corner Rangers have snapped up Max Aarons as the first signing for the Russell Martin era at - but fans are desperate to see more deals get over the line. Lyall Cameron has joined the Rangers squad having agreed a pre-contract move from Dundee when Philippe Clement was in the hot seat but with the American revolution in motion under the new Ibrox owners fans are desperate to see the deals flood in. The crucial Champions League qualifiers against Panathinaikos next month and a new striker is top of the agenda with Hamza Igamane attracting interest from Lille and talks with AEK over Cyriel Dessers rumbling on. However, the Scottish Premiership side plan to offload either Igamane or Dessers before rubber stamping the deal for the 21-year-old. There is also set to be one imminent arrival and exit in the Light Blues' academy ranks. Fabrizio Romano states that 16 year-old talent Alfie Hutchison has completed a move to Newcastle United after several Premier League clubs had been chasing a deal. Football Insider also claim highly-rated Brighton winger "sensation" Zebedee Lawson has chosen Rangers as his next step. Conor Coady is inching closer to a move to reinforce the backline at Ibrox with sporting director Kevin Thelwell leading the push for a deal amid talks with Leicester City having worked with the 32-year-old at Wolves and Everton. Former Aberdeen chief Keith Wyness reckons that the club could be signing the next Terry Butcher, telling The Insider Track: 'Having had experience with Conor, I think he would be a great signing for Rangers. "He'd remind me a bit of the Terry Butcher days, that famous era at Rangers with Gazza (Paul Gascoigne). 'I think that Conor Coady is that type of character that would go down really well at Ibrox and would be a great addition, and would play the Russell Martin way as well. 'Even for a season or two to stabilise things, I think that would be a great signing to come in, so I would see that as a possibility for Rangers.' A winger is also on the agenda following the departure of Vaclav Cerny - but Kwame Poku won't be coming in. The 23-year-old is set to join Queens Park Rangers at the the end of his Peterborough contract despite heavy interest from the Premiership side. So, could Rangers go back to the Czech international? Cerny's agent David Nehoda left the door open last week stating: "Vaclav will be back in Wolfsburg in time for their start of training. "We are currently not in talks with Rangers about a possible further collaboration. There is no concrete offer from any other club either. "The summer transfer market window does continue for a long time though, so everything remains possible." Reports in Germany have claimed Cerny is now officially on the transfer list with Wolfsburg having to seriously cut their squad amid ongoing financial problems with owners German car giants Volkswagen. But amid a shifting picture at the Bundesliga giants, Braunschweiger Zeitung claims that with the club unable to spend big this summer boss Paul Simon is is willing to give the wide man a second chance and assess him in pre-season after his impressive season in Scotland.

Where Craft Meets Art: A Whisky Of Distinction From Dalmore
The Dalmore Luminary Series No 3 2025 Edition Photo, courtesy The Dalmore Distillery The Dalmore, one of Scotland's most iconic and innovative whisky distilleries, has launched the third edition in its Luminary series. Below is a brief overview of the series, along with a description and tasting notes for the 2025 edition. The Dalmore's Luminary Series is an inspired collaboration between the worlds of fine whisky and innovative design. Created in partnership with V&A Dundee, Scotland's premier design museum, the Series celebrates the fusion of architectural vision and inspired whisky-making. Each edition pairs a Dalmore whisky expert with a leader from the creative arts, showcasing the shared values of legacy, craftsmanship, and forward-thinking innovation. The Dalmore Luminary No. 3, 2025 Edition, continues this tradition through a remarkable collaboration between The Dalmore's Master Whisky Maker, Gregg Glass, his predecessor Richard Paterson, and leading designer and architectural artist Ben Dobbins, co-founder of London-based architecture studio TAKT. Together, they created a whisky and packaging that 'reflects both a reverence for tradition and a bold, modern expression of time, balance, and transformation.' This edition follows two earlier collaborations: firstly, with Kengo Kuma and Maurizio Mucciola, designers of the landmark V&A Dundee, and last year with Melodie Leung, a renowned designer and Director at Zaha Hadid Associates, whose portfolio includes The Henderson Building in Hong Kong. Ben Dobbins' architectural work is renowned for exploring 'the fusion of natural beauty with the utility of materials.' He worked closely with Glass to craft a whisky that reflects the same principles expressed in his physical work. This idea reflects Glass's approach to whisky making. According to the company 'from initial maturation in American White Oak ex-Bourbon barrels, Luminary No. 3 has been finished in a bold combination of seven cask types, including both vintage and aged Calvados, rare Matusalem Sherry, rare Apostoles Sherry, select red wine casks from Bordeaux and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and fully matured American White Oak.' The Dalmore Luminary Series No3 2025 Edition Photo, courtesy The Dalmore Distillery This Dalmore expression is limited to 20,000 bottles worldwide. The whisky is rich and aromatic on the nose, featuring layered, complex aromas of honey, orchard fruit notes of fresh apple and pear, dried dark fruit, candied citrus zest, vanilla, cinnamon, sandalwood, and delicate floral notes of rose petals. It's creamy and flavorful on the palate, with a viscous, oily texture and a pronounced mouth weight. It showcases flavors of caramel, candied orange, licorice, fig, raisin, almond cookie, and marzipan. The pronounced influences of the assorted casks are highlighted by notes of gingerbread, wood spice, roasted chestnut, and vanilla, adding depth and complexity. The finish is long and complex, with lingering notes of baking spices, dark chocolate, and a hint of oak smoke. The Dalmore Luminary No. 3 is more than just a luxury single malt; it's a Whisky of Distinction, a tribute to the evolving dialogue between two disciplines rooted in patience, precision, and inspiration. With only 20,000 bottles available worldwide, it offers collectors and whisky lovers a chance to experience a whisky that is both a drink, a design story, and a work of art. Please visit the Dalmore website for availability and purchasing information. The recommended list price is $400. Lorraine Kelly shook ‘like a leaf' as she climbed 25-metre mast on RSS Discovery
Lorraine Kelly said she was 'shaking like a leaf' as she scaled the mast of an historic ship that previously ventured to Antarctica, before abseiling to the ground. She joined fellow presenter Dan Snow in a race up the 25-metre mast of the RSS Discovery in Dundee on Friday, with Snow reaching the top first by a few minutes. The feat aimed to emulate the working conditions the ship's original crew faced when it voyaged to Antarctica 124 years ago, albeit they endured harsh weather conditions and no modern safety precautions. Led by the Dundee Heritage Trust, the Discovery Mast Climb will be open for daring members of the public to experience in the autumn. After reaching the top, both TV stars waved for the cameras below. Snow spoke into the microphone of a camera drone above, with little-to-no fear in his voice. The Discovery Mast Climb is expected to draw attention from all over the world, and is the only experience of its kind in Scotland. The Cutty Sark in London and SS Great Britain in Bristol offer a similar challenge. After completing the climb, Kelly told the PA news agency: 'The experience in general was absolutely terrifying and the only reason I think I got through it was because Dan Snow was doing it as well. 'He looked so calm as he was shimmying up the rigging. 'That made me feel a bit better, but I'm not good with heights, so it was scary, I was shaking like a leaf, but it's really good to be back on dry land.' Kelly, a patron of the Dundee Heritage Trust alongside Snow, added: 'The Discovery ship is beautiful, she's the symbol of Dundee. I'm obsessed with all things Antarctica, and she went to Antarctica. 'She's an old girl so she needs a lot of maintenance, and obviously that costs a lot of money. 'This was all about raising awareness of the Discovery and letting everyone in Dundee have a look at her.' She said the experience also highlighted Scotland's former ties to the whaling industry, which was abolished in Scotland in 1963. She said: 'Dundee's links with Antarctica and South Georgia are very important, and this whole weekend is really about that. It's about looking back on the whaling industry, which was a big part of the city, and looking forward to the fact that we don't do that anymore – thank goodness – and we're trying to save these beautiful animals, so it's a celebration of the future.' Asked if she would consider such a climb again, Kelly joked: 'I don't think I'll ever do anything like that again. I'll leave that to the experts.'

TV presenter Lorraine Kelly admitted she was "terrified" after abseiling down a 25-metre mast on Friday. Kelly, who is not good with heights, described the experience as scary and said she was "shaking like a leaf" afterwards.
