What's on tap for Netflix in June? Squid Game returns for a third and final season. Will Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) finally shut the game down once and for all? For movies, Tyler Perry's Straw has remained in the top 10 for almost the entire month. While those two programs will remain on Netflix for the foreseeable future, a good chunk of movies will be departing from the service at the end of the month. After his release from prison, Danny Ocean (George Clooney) wastes no time planning his next move. Danny recruits his former partner, Rusty Ryan (Brad Pitt), and the wealthy Reuben Tishkoff (Elliott Gould) to rob the Las Vegas casinos owned by Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia). If a $150 million score isn't enough motivation, Benedict is dating Danny's ex-wife, Tess Ocean (Julia Roberts). Prepare to be charmed, wowed, and downright entertained. In Southport, four friends — Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt), Ray Bronson (Freddie Prinze Jr.), Helen Shivers (Sarah Michelle Gellar), and Barry Cox (Ryan Phillippe) — accidentally hit a person and throw his body into the water. One year later, the group receives a letter from a killer that says, 'I know what you did last summer!' It's not Scream, but it's perfect '90s camp. Stream I Know What You Did Last Summer on Netflix. Do the Right Thing (1989) The movie that should have won Spike Lee an Oscar is Do the Right Thing. Brooklyn native Mookie (Lee) works for Sal Fragione (Danny Aiello) as a delivery driver for his pizza shop. One of the neighborhood residents, Buggin' Out (Giancarlo Esposito), demands that Sal put up pictures of African Americans on the pizza shop's wall of fame. Sal refuses, which leads to one of the several disagreements about race scattered throughout the movie. As the heat rises, so too do the tensions, culminating in one of cinema's defining moments of the last 40 years. Stream Do the Right Thing on Netflix. Dune: Part Two (2024) Denis Villeneuve did the impossible in Dune by adapting the unadaptable sci-fi novel by Frank Herbert. Three years later, Villeneuve arguably outdid himself and directed Dune: Part Two, which might one day be considered a masterpiece. After the fall of his house, Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) and his mother, Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson), have been accepted by the Fremen. At first, Paul tries to become an ordinary Fremen. However, Paul is allied to something greater, and he must embrace his destiny to free the Fremen and become the Messiah. Stream Dune: Part Two on Netflix. Dave Bautista's Next Franchise Play? Becoming a ‘Cat Assassin'

After hanging up his daggers as Drax the Destroyer and getting got as Glossu Rabban in Dune: Part Two, Dave Bautista is stepping into video games and animation with a new franchise by the name of Cat Assassin. The wrestler-actor and his production company Dogbone Entertainment will bring to life a new idea from Steve Lerner, who wrote 2022's feline adventure game Stray. This would-be franchise will comprise a stealth-action video game—influenced by titles such as Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, and Sifu—from developer Titan1Studios (Love is a Roguelike, The Events at Unity Farm) and a 'neo-noir adult animated series.' Cat Assassin focuses on Hugh, an expert killer 'caught between various cartels and power brokers in a dark and twisted city.' Bautista's part of the enterprise's 'creative vision,' but at the moment, it's unclear if that also means he'll lend his voice to Hugh in either animated or video game form. (His current voice work includes the upcoming Army of the Dead animated series and playing himself in WWE games since 2003.) Titan1 has several TV and game projects in the works, so at the moment, there's no real window on when to expect Cat Assassin. Still, in a statement on Titan1's website Bautista called teaming with the company 'a pleasure … Their ability to build worlds through animation has been so impressive and they've created a truly unique world in this game that I can't wait to share with players.' While the game is seemingly expected for release in October 2027 for PC and several consoles, including the Nintendo Switch 2, Titan1 said more details on the overall franchise's future is expected 'in the coming months.'

Kylie Jenner Suffers 'Embarrassing' Moment As She Tries To Kiss Timothée Chalamet At Award Show

Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet finally made their red carpet debut as a couple at Italy's David di Donatello Awards. However, it is an awkward missed kiss moment between the duo that has gone viral and has fans questioning their chemistry. According to reports, Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner chose not to attend the Met Gala together, prioritizing privacy and personal interests. Jenner recently experienced an awkward moment that quickly went viral after being captured on live television. She was in Rome supporting boyfriend Chalamet, who was being recognized at the 70th David di Donatello Awards, often referred to as Italy's equivalent of the Oscars. While the couple has attended major events together, this marked their official red carpet debut as a couple. At the event, Chalamet, 29, received the prestigious David for Cinematic Excellence, celebrating his entire body of work, particularly his recent roles in "Dune: Part Two" and "A Complete Unknown." However, Jenner found herself in a slightly uncomfortable situation during Chalamet's big moment at the awards ceremony. As his name was announced and the crowd erupted in applause, the couple shared a quick celebratory kiss. But when she leaned in again for a second one, Chalamet caught up in the excitement and turned his attention instead to greeting friends seated nearby. Left hanging, the makeup mogul quietly sat back down as Chalamet made his way to the stage, unintentionally leaving her momentarily sidelined. Fans were quick to react to the awkward moment, with many taking to Reddit to share their secondhand embarrassment. One user wrote, "The ICK I felt during this video." Others echoed the sentiment, suggesting a lack of spark between the couple. "No chemistry whatsoever. And he can't even fake it," one commenter said, per The U.S. Sun. Another noted, "Ah, the kiss pull-away moment is so embarrassing for her." A different user chimed in with, "Literally and forced to kiss her, and the fact he rejected the second kiss lmaoooo." Despite the awkward moment, Jenner turned heads in a stunning floor-length black gown featuring her signature plunging neckline and shimmering crystal embellishments woven into the fabric. She wore her hair in a sleek, tight bun. Chalamet complemented her effortlessly, opting for a sharp black velvet double-breasted blazer paired with tailored pants, polished leather loafers, and a statement floral brooch. Earlier this week, fans wondered if Jenner and Chalamet would make their official red carpet debut at the Met Gala, given they've only been seen together at private events and after-parties so far. According to Daily Mail, Chalamet had considered attending but ultimately chose to skip the glamorous evening in favor of watching his beloved New York Knicks play. "Timothée did consider going to the Met Gala," a source shared. "But he is a huge Knicks fan, and Kylie knows this. Kylie didn't bother him to go with her, and that's something he appreciates about her. She allows him to do his own thing." The Insider added that while the couple did entertain the idea of attending together, they ultimately felt it wasn't the right setting. "They didn't want to do the whole song and dance of it all together because it would have felt more like a chore over a fun date night," the source explained. "If it was Kylie's first Met Gala, or an event where she was being honored for something, then he would have been there 100 per cent, but they decided to do their own thing." Last week, insiders revealed that Jenner and Chalamet's relationship, which has been going strong since 2023, thrives thanks to some carefully set boundaries, especially regarding public exposure. A source told the Daily Mail that the couple's success largely stems from mutual respect for privacy, with Chalamet drawing a firm line when it comes to Jenner's reality TV world. "Timothée made his intentions clear early [on] that he didn't ever want to be a prop," the source shared. They added, "That is why he doesn't want to be on the Kardashians show and is only seen with Kylie at events." Focused on being recognized for his talent rather than his personal life, Chalamet is reportedly keen on building a legacy as "one of the Hollywood greats." The actor "wants to avoid falling into the trap of being known simply for who he is dating." "It would be gut-wrenching. They both know that if he started appearing on the family show, then they wouldn't work," a source said of the couple.

Only one Oscar-nominated movie passes ‘climate Bechdel test:' report

The vast majority of Academy Award-nominated movies do not acknowledge climate change or environmental issues, despite those issues being increasingly present in mainstream blockbusters, according to a new report from the consultancy Good Energy. The group on Thursday released its second annual Climate Reality Check, a two-pronged test that assesses whether climate change exists within the world of a movie and at least one character knows it. It was inspired by the Bechdel Test, named for cartoonist Allison Bechdel, which measures whether a work of fiction contains at least two named female characters who discuss a subject other than a man. The group narrowed down the 30 nominated films to the 11 set on Earth in the present, recent past or near future. Only one, the animated science fiction film 'The Wild Robot,' met the Reality Check criteria. The movie, the story of a robot shipwrecked on an island only inhabited by animals, includes a shot of San Francisco Bay depicts the Golden Gate Bridge as submerged due to sea level rise. Good Energy founder and CEO Anna Jane Joyner told The Hill in an interview that while only one film met the full criteria, the film's box office and critical success demonstrated that such themes can find an audience. 'What I love about 'The Wild Robot' is it's a story that really incorporates climate throughout all of it, and so it's a much richer depiction of climate change, and I loved a lot of the themes. I thought they were really relevant, especially after such a harrowing year where we all experience climate disasters,' she said. She pointed to devastating flooding last fall in the Asheville, N.C., area, her hometown, as well as the wildfires that ravaged much of Los Angeles this year. She also pointed to the success of other 2025 movies, such as 'Dune Part Two' and 'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.' Those movies did not qualify either because they are set on another planet and in the distant future, respectively, but still found box office success addressing many of the same themes, she said. 'Dune Part Two,' for example, depicts how the plundering of natural resources on the desert planet Arrakis 'not only affects the people who are living there, and the ecosystems.. but also the exploiters and the people in power, because they come very close to risking the source of energy that powered the entire universal economy,' she said. The number of qualifying films is down from last year, when only two, 'Barbie' and the biopic 'Nyad,' fulfilled the test.

Baftas 2025 LIVE Full Winners List: Every Award Given At This Year's Ceremony

The Bafta 2025 awards are well under way here at Royal Festival Hall this evening, with awards already dished out to the likes of Dune Part Two, Wallace and Gromit and Kneecap. During Sunday's ceremony, we saw David Tennant kick things off with an unexpected celebrity-studded rendition of The Proclaimer's 500 Miles and make digs at President Donald Trump. Ralph Fiennes-starring Vatican drama Conclave is leading the way tonight with a whopping 12 nominations, followed by Emilia Pérez with 11 and The Brutalist up for nine. Conclave has been awarded Best Editing, Best Adapted Screenplay and – unsurprisingly, given the number of nominations it had – Outstanding British Film. It also took home the final award of the night, the highly coveted Best Film. However, The Brutalist has four three awards so far, including Best Director for Brady Corbet and Best Actor In A Leading Role for Adrien Brody. Emilia Perez has so far taken home two awards, for Best Film Not In The English Language and Zoe Saldana for Best Actress In A Supporting Role. British classic Wallace and Gromit: A Vengeance Most Fowl has also bagged two awards so far. Box office favourite Wicked is also a dual winner – it has so far taken home the award for Best Production Design and Best Costume Design. Meanwhile Best Original Screenplay went to A Real Pain – which Jesse Eisenberg did not prepare a winner's speech for as he 'never expected to win'. His co-star Kieran Culkin won the award for Best Actor In A Supporting Role – he has now won the Golden Globe, Critics Choice and Bafta for Best Supporting Actor in this role.
