‘Not emotionally prepared' neighbors find ‘escape artist' pet lurking in garage

A pet owner's neighbors had a fright when they found an 'escape artist' hiding in their garage, Colorado officials said. Sophie, who is not 'your average sunbathing gecko,' is a very large Tegu lizard with 'confident swagger' that got out of her plexiglass enclosure after seeing a minor gap, according to a June 24 Facebook post by the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region. After bending the plexiglass like 'she was Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson,'' she found her way into the home's backyard before slipping under the fence, the Colorado Springs animal shelter said. Sophie ended up in a neighbor's garage, hidden behind old Halloween decorations as she 'tried to lay low,' the shelter said. That's when the neighbor, 'not emotionally prepared' to see Sophie, found her next to their leaf blower, the shelter said. They 'kept their cool' and called animal law enforcement who responded to the home, the shelter said. The 'quick thinking' officer turned two trash lids into 'medieval shields' and managed to guide Sophie into a container without injury, the rescue said. She was taken to the shelter and the shelter posted her photo to their website in hopes her owner would see it, the post said. Eventually, Sophie's owner spotted her on the website and he 'rushed to the shelter,' the rescue said. When Sophie saw her owner, she 'immediately relaxed' and eventually the two went home, the shelter said. Although the shelter said they're grateful that she was reunited with her owner, they ask Sophia to 'stay put,' the post said. Colorado Springs is about a 70-mile drive south of Denver.

WWE WrestleMania 42 in New Orleans 'cancelled' in unprecedented shake up

WWE WrestleMania 42 is no longer taking place in New Orleans amid reports of a return to Las Vegas in 2026. The Big Easy was set to host the annual sports entertainment extravaganza, which aired live on Netflix for the first time ever last month, in April 2026, but unprecedented changes have been made with 11 months to go. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson had announced the city as the host of the 2026 show, but it's instead set to get Money In The Bank in the summer. The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation told Wrestlenomics: 'The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and New Orleans & Company are working closely with our friends at TKO to expand our long-standing partnership.' They added that this 'will include UFC 318 on July 19, 2025, Money In The Bank in 2026, and WrestleMania – which will move from the currently scheduled 2026 timeframe to a future year'. In a video statement on X, Paul 'Triple H' Levesque added on Friday: 'I'm sure everyone saw our joint statement yesterday regarding the shift in some of the dates on the WWE calendar. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video 'Today I want to announce the first of those, one of which we're very excited about. Coming to New Orleans on Saturday August 29th, 2026 will be Money In The Bank.' Hailing the show as one of the biggest in WWE's calendar, he added that it's a night of 'high stakes' and 'amazing drama', while teasing: 'Stay tuned for more details on a WrestleMania coming to New Orleans, which will be announced at a later date.' This is a first for WrestleMania – WWE has never changed a host city or state in this way, although in 2020 WrestleMania 36 was moved from Tampa's Raymond James Stadium to the Performance Center in Orlando due to the pandemic. For years, fans have been calling for WWE to give WrestleMania an international flavour, particularly after the success of events like Clash At The Castle, Backlash in Lyon, France a year ago, and Bash In Berlin, but there could be longer to wait if Sin City emerges as a repeat destination for 2026. Mayor of London Sadiq Khan previously held talks with WWE chief content officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque and WWE President Nick Khan, with both sides hinting it as a possibility. Khan reiterated his commitment in a report last month focused on the economic impact that major sporting events have on the UK capital's economy. 'Building on London's success, the Mayor has talked up his ambition to bring more of the biggest sporting events in the world to London,' the report read. 'Sadiq has expressed his support for a bid for the Olympics and Paralympics to return to London in 2040, while he remains committed to making London WrestleMania's first international destination.' More Trending As far back as July 2023, Triple H heaped praise on the UK fans while suggesting it was an option. He told Metro: 'Look, as I said earlier, I have been coming here since the early 90s, and it's spectacular. Some of my favourite events here ever – my favourite things I did in my career have happened here, even sometimes without the benefit of television or it broadcast anywhere else.' He added: 'We are a global company. We intend to be a global company, we intend to be global. So, never say never for any of it. The intent is there.' them.' Create Account A growing number of women are more attracted to bald men, according to a new study commissioned by infidelity networking site Illicit Encounters, the Daily Mail reported, according to the New York Post . The company, which advertises itself as a place for married people in search of an affair, surveyed 2,000 women to distinguish the physical attributes they found most attractive in men. A bald head was the second most desired feature in men — more than dark, curly or blond hair. The top attribute was a muscular physique, so being bald alone might not always do the trick for men hoping to attract a partner, unfortunately. But the chrome dome has its place. Think Channing Tatum, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Bruce Willis, Jason Statham and other bald celebrity sex symbols. 'Bald men are among the sexiest looking chaps out there,' Illicit Encounters spokesperson Jessica Leoni said, according to the Post, while also admitting that beauty is 'in the eye of the beholder.' This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below. Next to a sculpted body and bald head were blue eyes and a beard, the study revealed, adding that dark hair, curling hair, high cheekbones and blond hair were also on the list of most desired features. Recommended video Green eyes, chest hair, tattoos and piercings rounded out the lineup. Hair loss affects nearly all men by the time they hit age 50. While some men are taking trips to Turkey for hair transplants or trying Botox treatments to regrow their hair, the results of this new study suggest that maybe it's time for men to own the bald look with pride. Horoscope for Friday, May 2nd, 2025

The morning hours may be a bit stressful, but as we head into the afternoon, the tension begins to ease up. The day's energy is useful for anything related to arts and culture, sports and athletics, personal development, and humanitarian work. The evening hours bode well for romance, heartfelt connections and family bonding. However, there's a need to be mindful of boundaries, both our own and those of others, since there's a risk of boundaries becoming blurred. At the same time, we should also be careful not to compromise on our values or place unrealistic expectations on others. ARIES (March 21 to April 19) If you're feeling stressed or overwhelmed, seek tools to help you find your calm, like music, movement or rest. TAURUS (April 20 to May 20) Use art and creativity as a refuge when the outside world just isn't giving you what you need. GEMINI (May 21 to June 20) Avoid making harsh comparisons between yourself and others. You may have more in common with each other than you think. CANCER (June 21 to July 22) Give yourself grace today. The weight of responsibility can be heavy. LEO (July 23 to Aug. 22) Try to focus on the positive and find the silver lining where you can. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22 to Dec. 21) You can balance your head with your heart by following your intuition. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 to Jan. 19) Try not to allow others to disturb your inner peace. That said, staying home tonight or turning in early could be just what your mind and body need. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20 to Feb. 18) Things don't always go according to plan, which is why it's important to be flexible. PISCES (Feb. 19 to March 20) You may receive a powerful reminder that true happiness comes from within. FOR TODAY'S BIRTHDAY Whatever you put your mind to, you can make happen.
