Katie Price reveals Harvey has left college as she shares update on son's ‘next chapter'
KATIE Price has revealed Harvey has left college as she shared an update on his 'next chapter'. Page 3 legend Katie, 47, gushed over her eldest son in an Instagram update shared yesterday. 4 4 Posing alongside the 23-year-old, whose father is footballer Dwight Yorke, in a van, she wrote: "College done. So proud of my boy. Onto the next chapter xx." In the image, Katie pouted for the camera and wore a full face of make-up. Harvey, who has Prader-Willi syndrome, septo-optic dysplasia, autism, and learning difficulties, looked delighted to be heading home, wearing a green shirt. It was only back in June that Katie revealed she had sent him back to college early after he caused damage to her TV. The mum-of-five revealed her shock at discovering that Harvey had become frustrated and smashed up her huge £3,000 television in the living room of her property. Katie documented the discovery on her Snapchat account before giving Harvey a dressing down for his actions and also confirming that she would be returning him to his college a day early as a result of his behaviour. The former glamour model uploaded a video in which she filmed Harvey's face and questioned him on his actions. She revealed she was woken up by him smashing the TV at around six in the morning. She asked him: "What has mummy just heard?" Harvey calmly replied: "Smashing the TV." Katie Price reveals son Harvey now weighs 30st as she gives update on his fat jabs and says 'I can't wait to see what he looks like' When she went on to ask him why he did it, Harvey appeared to answer that it had angered him as it was early in the morning. Katie later told her fans that he told her off-camera that he did not like what was on the screen but she appeared to rebuff this suggestions as she could be sure that there was nothing being shown. In the clip of her speaking to Harvey, she added: "You was going to college tomorrow to get some new meds [medication], but now when are you going? "You are going now." Harvey replied to this news by saying: "Oh god!" Katie insisted she had to spend the day getting a new TV and as such needed to send Harvey back to college before branding the whole ordeal as "sad". Harvey went on to apologise as he insisted he "would not do it again". Katie replied: "Well you've got to go to collage now and get some meds." Her decision for Harvey to go back to collage comes after she revealed that her 22-year-old son was due to start weight loss injections in order to control his ballooning weight. Harvey weight around 30st as a result of his many complex needs, including Prader-Willi syndrome, but Katie hopes the use of weight-loss drug Mounjaro will keep it under control. Speaking on her podcast with sister and co-host Sophie Price, Katie said: "Hopefully Harvey starts his Mounjaro this week, but we'll talk about that next week and I'll go through all of what's happening about that." The TV personality's eldest child has Prader-Willi syndrome, which sparks a constant desire to eat food and a permanent feeling of hunger which leads to obesity. Harvey battles a series of debilitating conditions including autism, septo-optic dysplasia, ADHD and oppositional defiant disorder. In a video posted in April, Katie revealed: 'I'm so heartbroken and gutted that his weight is just going up. 'I just googled it in stones, 188kg is just a few kg of being 30 stone. 'It's so life-threatening now, I'm still waiting for the doctors to get back to me starting on the mounjaro and his journey to a healthy life.' She continued: 'It's so sad his quality of life at the moment where he's so big, he just can't really do much." Katie is also mum to Junior and Princess Andre as well as Jett and Bunny Hayler. Ruben Amorim given brutal Man Utd verdict as pressure builds on manager
Manchester United ended last season in 15th place, their worst Premier League finish, with former striker Dwight Yorke claiming they are "way off" from challenging the top teams Dwight Yorke has laid into former club Manchester United and claimed they are 'way off' competing with the top teams in the Premier League. United ended last season in 15th place, their worst finish of the Premier League era, and failed to secure European football for next term after losing the Europa League final to Tottenham. Against that backdrop, Yorke – who won the Treble with United in 1999 – said there is no way Ruben Amorim's side can challenge the top clubs in England, like Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City. "I don't think so,' Yorke told Flash Score. 'They are probably not in the conversation right now. Let's get back to trying to compete at a very consistent, sort of consistent, what we do consistently. "And if we can do that, then we'll have to see where we finish. But in terms of challenging the big boys in the minute, we're way off the mark. "I think it's been well documented that it's been a really poor season by our standards. Of course we don't like to see Manchester United in the position that they are, but it's where the club is at the moment. "It's been a very difficult campaign all round, so we have to look at the season and have a reflection and hopefully come back stronger and with a bit of fighting spirit. If we're finishing 15th in the league, then something is really wrong. So we have to reflect and start building immediately." Asked how much time Amorim should be given to turn United's fortunes around, Yorke said: "I don't know the exact amount of time. What I do know as a manager, is you've got to win football matches. And the more you go about not winning football matches, you're certainly making life difficult for yourself. "So I think as any manager, he has got to find a way to try to win matches and be a little bit more consistent. But if you're not winning matches, you're sort of forcing the way in terms of trying to put a real negative spin on it.' Asked what he would do differently if he were in Amorim's position, Yorke said: "Well, to begin with, I would need some players. If I don't get the players, then it's a bit difficult to sort of even implement those ideas. I think that there's enough in the team. "I think there's a lot of talent within the squad. You've just got to find a way to win matches." Dwight Yorke was speaking to Flashscore. Katie Price shares loving tribute to her eldest son Harvey on his 23rd birthday
Katie Price shared a loving tribute to her eldest son Harvey to mark his 23rd birthday on Tuesday. The former glamour model, 47, took to Instagram on his birthday eve to post a series of throwback snaps with Harvey as she celebrated his special day with him. She shared a smiling selfie of her and Harvey together on the beach and another picture of her son planting a kiss on her cheek. In a caption, she gushed over her 'forever love' for her son and shared her excitement over spending Harvey's birthday with him. Katie welcomed Harvey on May 27, 2002, with her ex Dwight Yorke while she also has another four children with two ex-partners. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Katie shares her kids Junior, 19, and Princess 17, with her first husband Peter Andre, and Jett, 11, and Bunny, 10, with ex-husband Kieran Hayler. Harvey is blind, autistic, has septo-optic dysplasia, a learning disability and is one of the 2,000 people in the UK with Prader-Willi syndrome, a genetic disorder. Katie has undergone a difficult time trying to secure Harvey a college place after she was forced to withdraw him from a £350,000-a-year school amid funding cuts and her bankruptcy. Though he later returned to school, Katie was hit by another hurdle in February when Harvey lost a place at a care home for being 'too difficult', but she was finally able to move him back to college last month. But Katie shared her heartbreak as she told how Harvey didn't want to go back and said she hopes to be able to move him to a branch closer to her new family home in Sussex after leaving her Mucky Mansion. Upon the move last month, Katie took to Snapchat to document the 'difficult and upsetting' journey which saw an upset Harvey lash out in the car. She told her followers: 'Now that was very difficult, it was really upsetting. Harvey just did not want to go back to college. 'I'm surprised I've still got a car left. He was literally gonna go for the car. It is so sad when your son just doesn't wanna go to college and just wants to be with you all the time. 'That's why I can't wait for him to come home near us but the place we have got for him is not ready yet, maybe in May. So yeah, it is heartbreaking.' Harvey has been living at specialist institution National Star since 2021, but amid cuts to funding and Katie's financial woes, he was withdrawn from last year. Speaking on her The Katie Price Show podcast last year, Katie said: 'I'm having a nightmare at the minute. 'We were looking for him to stay at his college another year or if not a placement, but [the local authority] haven't accepted it. 'They've given me three months that he has to find somewhere else by July. With someone like Harvey you need the transitional move, you need to do it slow.' She had been looking to extend Harvey's time at college for another year when West Sussex County Council cut his funding in July of last year. The local authority refused to fund her son's care because he has 'no healthcare issues', with an assessor concluding that Harvey 'only needs social care'. Katie - who was declared bankrupt for a second time last year over an unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000 - has been trying to secure funding to keep Harvey at National Star. Thankfully, Harvey was able to return to school and in December, Katie shared a snap of her son proudly holding up his letter to Santa which revealed his college triumphs. In February, Katie then told how she tried to get Harvey into a new care home but he lost his place weeks before the move after management changed and they determined that they couldn't cater for Harvey's needs. Amid the string of difficulties, Katie was able to move Harvey back into college last month but is hoping he can move into a branch closer to her family home in West Sussex in the coming weeks. Katie was Harvey's primary caregiver until he turned 19, and in 2021 filmed his moved into National Star College as part of BBC documentary Katie Price: Harvey and Me. WHAT IS PRADER-WILLI SYNDROME? Prader-Willi syndrome is a rare genetic condition that causes problems including constant urges to eat food, restricted growth and reduced muscle tone. Other potential issues include learning difficulties, lack of sexual development and behavioral problems such as tantrums or stubbornness. The rare condition, which affects one in every 15,000 children born in England, is caused by a defect on chromosome number 15 - and happens by chance. Because there is no cure, treatment aims to manage the symptoms – with parents of sufferers urged to get their children to stick to a healthy, balanced diet. Children with the syndrome can eat up to six times more than children of the same age – and still feel hungry. It was first described in 1956 by Swiss doctors A Prader, A Labhart and H Willi.
