Dyson's new Airwrap is now available to buy, and it's knocked $100 off the Airwrap i.d.
Dyson has finally launched its new Airwrap with a game-changing straightening attachment. The Airwrap Co-anda 2x is the brand's latest addition to its hairstyling line-up, and it's a pretty cool upgrade. Dubbed the "most powerful Dyson Airwrap multi-styler", it's lighter, more intelligent and you'll get six different attachments in your kit, depending on which hair type you pick. If you're going for Straight / Wavy, that includes the new AirSmooth2x that uses only air pressure (more on this later). For Curly / Coily, you'll get the Tension comb 2x attachment to stretch and smooth. The price? On you can now purchase the brand-new Airwrap for $699.99. And to celebrate the launch, Dyson has cut the price of last year's Airwrap i.d., now $100 off. So, if you were on the fence about grabbing an Airwrap, there's now two great reasons to think about taking the plunge. Dyson's new styler is powered by the new Hyperdymium 2 motor, which delivers twice the air pressure as the original model. And in true Dyson fashion, it's also incredibly quiet. Boasting 30% more power than the original, it's still just as quiet and comes with a smart compatible app to use alongside it. With each purchase, you get six attachments to achieve your desired look. The Dyson Airwrap i.d. is one of the brand's best-selling stylers, thanks to its versatility, ease of use and speed. It even has an Ai-auto-hair-curling settling that you can operate via your phone, automatically programming it to curl your hair. If you're looking for a stress-free way to style your hair, with $100 off, it's an excellent deal. I'm seriously impressed by the Dyson Co-anda 2x for many reasons (it's powerful, quiet and quick), but the one thing I'm really excited about is the straightening attachment – a new addition to the Airwrap range. The Airwrap's main rival, the Shark FlexStyle, has offered a similar straightening attachment since its launch, so it's a relief to see that Dyson is following suit. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. And it seems to be a whole lot smarter. Using the new Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) means you can automatically adjust the settings of each attachment to suit you. And then there's Dyson's smart app that works alongside the styler, which is, quite frankly, genius. You can set up your hair profile and use the advanced i.d. curl sequence to react to your movements, adjusting heat, airflow and timings to match your hair type. Depending on your hair type will depend which kit you go for, whether Straight / Wavy or Curly / Coily – each sold with different attachments to suit your style. As a premium product though, it comes with a premium price tag. Right now, you can grab the Airwrap i.d. for $200 less. But, I'll wait to reserve full judgment on whether the Dyson Airwrap Co-anda 2x is totally worth it when we get our hands on it for a review in the coming weeks.

Dyson just dropped a new Airwrap with a game-changing straightening attachment
There's a new Airwrap in town. The Dyson Airwrap Co-anda 2x brings some massive changes to Dyson's existing line of hair styling products, adding a straightening attachment and custom app-compatibility, all within a lighter and more powerful design. Launching July 1st and available for purchase on July 8th at the Dyson Airwrap Coanda 2x retails for $699.99 in the U.S. and £599.99 in the U.K. markets. For the price, you'll get six attachments with purchase, and they're all RFID-enabled to automatically adjust airflow and temperature for optimal performance when you switch your styler. Best of all, the new straightening attachment uses the same wet-to-dry styling tech that Dyson pioneered with its Airstrait, but in a significantly more compact frame. We'll be testing the Co-anda 2x in the weeks to come, but here's everything we know about Dyson's latest drop. "Dyson has developed a new motor for our new Airwrap2x, which spins at 150,000rpm, delivering twice the air pressure, faster drying, and less heat damage. The high pressure creates a longer-lasting curl or straighter styles." Perhaps the biggest game-changer in this styling tool is its new Hyperdymium 2 motor, which delivers twice the air pressure as the original model, and 30% more power for speedy and sleek styling. One of my favorite features of the Airwrap is its low noise levels, and Dyson claims that the new Hyperdymium motor will double the air pressure while maintaining the same noise levels as the original Airwrap. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Using precision engineering, the motor can spinup to 150,000rpm, or nine times faster than a Formula 1 car engine. Available in either a Straight / Wavy or Curly / Coily configuration, the Airwrap2x can be used to dry, curl, wave, straighten, smooth, and add volume with its complete range of attachments. As someone with curly hair, I'm particularly excited to use the diffuser, although the genius addition of a wet-to-dry straightening attachment could end up replacing my beloved Dyson Airstrait. Better yet, the brand uses new Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) which will automatically adjust your settings to suit each attachment to your styling needs, and deliver optimal results for all hair types. We got hands-on with Dyson's AI styling tech when we tested the Airwrap i.d., and while our writer Erin initially thought it was total overkill, she quickly realised that while it's not an essential feature, the ability to learn how to use your styling tool from an app, as opposed to YouTube videos or Reddit, is a win. "It's about creating exciting, long-lasting styles using smarter, more efficient technology." The Airwrap2x uses one-touch i.d. curl technology to allow users to customize their own styling sequence. In effect, this means it will tell you how long to spend on styling each curl, and when to switch to a cold shot to lock in your style. I never thought the Airwrap was too heavy, but I'm not complaining that Dyson has made it even lighter and more maneuverable. The only downside from what I can see, is the astonishingly high price. We'll be testing the Airwrap2x in the weeks to come, but in the meantime, shoppers can sign up for pre-sale now at ahead of its release in stores on July 8th.

Dyson Just Debuted Its Lightest, and Most Expensive, Styling Tool Yet
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Few haircare brands have changed my beauty routine like Dyson has. The Dyson Airwrap is the only hair tool my less-than-nimble hands can maneuver to create bouncy curls, while the Dyson Supersonic Nural blow dryer gives me silky smooth, shiny strands in minutes, without the added heat damage. Just when I thought the cult-favorite brand had reached the height of at-home hair styling technology, Dyson outdid themselves again with the release of its newest blow dryer, the Dyson Supersonic r. Dyson's blow dryers have long been hailed as some of the very best on the market, but the latest addition to the brand's lineup is unlike any of its predecessors. In fact, the Dyson Supersonic r is the first and only hair tool from the brand to bring salon-level styling to consumers at home. The tool, which was previously only available to licensed pros, uses a revolutionary new ergonomic format—its "r" shape—to offer the most precise styling possible. Coming in at 20 percent lighter and 30 percent smaller than Dyson's other styling tools, the Supersonic r has three precise airflow settings and four heat modes all within a thumb's reach. After each blow-drying session, you'll achieve a salon-quality finish thanks to its ultra-precise heat and airflow. The launch stands out from the rest of the Supersonic lineup even further with its new streamlined heater, the Dyson Hyperdymium™ motor, which allows for more even heating and less (if any) heat damage. Then there's the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) sensors in each attachment. These chips communicate from the attachment to the machine and then automatically adjust the temperature and airflow to best suit that attachment. What's more, the attachments remember your preferred settings, saving you time when you turn your dryer on next. You can shop the Dyson Supersonic r blow dryer in a luxe Ceramic Pink colorway, a new entry for the brand. You can have your pick from attachments, too, including a pro concentrator for focused airflow, a powerful air attachment for quick styling, a wide-tooth comb attachment for tighter curls and coils, and a diffuser to define textured hair. With a price tag of $570, it's the most expensive product of Dyson's lineup of blow dryers, but considering it brings the kind of shiny styles you would only receive at the salon, I'd say it's well worth the investment. The Dyson Supersonic r will be available to shop exclusively on on March 6.
