Lahad Datu break-in: Two arrested

District Police Chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said both suspects were detained at 7pm on Monday at Jalan Dahlia. The arrest followed a report by a 62-year-old who discovered that his house door had been forced open and one unit of air conditioning and a fan were missing from his house. A 41-year-old local and a 36-year-old foreigner were detained in connection to the case. Dzulbaharin said the local was found to have three previous criminal records, and some equipment believed used to commit the crime were also seized. Three civil servants among 5 held in Lahad Datu raid

LAHAD DATU: Five men, including three civil servants, were arrested with drugs, Ketum juice, cough syrup and weapons during a raid on a house in Taman Harapan, Jalan Silam, on Monday. Lahad Datu District Police Chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said the raid by the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division of the Lahad Datu District Police Headquarters (IPD) uncovered 0.14gm of syabu, 224 litres of Ketum juice and 8.2 litres of cough syrup. The team also seized a Samurai sword and six machetes. 'One of the five men, aged 24 to 38, tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine. 'All the suspects are currently remanded for further investigations,' said Dzulbaharin. According to him, the seizures were worth RM11,655.40. Five held in LD raid involving drugs, weapons

LAHAD DATU: Five men, including three civil servants, were arrested during a police raid at a house in Taman Harapan, Jalan Silam, on Monday. Lahad Datu police seized a small quantity of Syabu, over 220 litres of Ketum drink, cough syrup, and several bladed weapons during the operation. District police chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said the suspects, aged between 24 and 38, were remanded for investigation, with one testing positive for drugs. The confiscated items, including a samurai sword and six machetes, were estimated to be worth RM11,655.40. Three civil servants nabbed in Lahad Datu drug raid
LAHAD DATU: Three civil servants were among five people arrested during an Op Tapis operation conducted in Taman Harapan, Jalan Silam, yesterday. The raid, carried out by the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department of the Lahad Datu district police headquarters, resulted in the seizure of syabu, ketum juice, cough syrup, and several dangerous weapons. District police chief Assistant Commissioner Dzulbaharin Ismail said the operation led to the confiscation of 0.41 grammes of syabu, 224 litres of ketum juice, and 8.20 litres of cough syrup. "Dangerous weapons, including a samurai sword and six machetes, were also seized. "The total value of the confiscated items is estimated at RM11,655.40," he said in a statement today. Urine screening found that one suspect tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine, while the other four tested negative. "All suspects, aged between 24 and 38, are currently under remand and being investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, Section 30(3) of the Poisons Act 1952, and Section 6(1) of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958," he added.

Two dead after three motorcycles collide
Published on: Monday, July 28, 2025 Published on: Mon, Jul 28, 2025 By: Azmie Lim Text Size: LAHAD DATU: Two people, including a 12-year-old boy were killed in an accident involving three motorcycles at KM90 along Jalan Lahad Datu-Tungku on Friday. It was learnt that two motorcycles were heading towards Cenderawasih from Embara Budi while another was in the opposite direction when it occurred at 11.30pm. District Police Chief, ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said the Yamaha motorcycle rider was a 12-year-old Indonesian (no identification, aged obtained orally) with his 20-year-old Indonesian pillion rider, while the Yamaha Lagenda by an 18-year-old Indonesian. The Honda belonged to a 19-year-old. Preliminary investigation found the incident occurred when the Honda entered the opposite direction and crashed into the two Yamahas in the opposite direction. 'The crash caused the Yamaha's rider and his pillion rider to be thrown off the road shoulder while the Yamaha Lagenda's rider was dragged on the street. The Honda rider also fell off his machine. 'Impact of the crash resulted in the deaths of the 12-year-old Yamaha rider and Honda rider while the Yamaha's pillion rider suffered injuries,' he said. The Yamaha Lagenda rider escaped unhurt. Dzulbaharin said investigation is ongoing under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Police urged those who had witnessed the incident to contact Insp.
