Both teams pushed for a late goal before the final whistle but neither could score again to finish above Inter Miami after its 2-2 tie with Palmeiras. Mohamed Seha saved Mora's 95th-minute shot from the left side of the box. Al-Ahly had a strong counterattack all evening and nearly stole a late lead after Mohamed Hany sent a right-footed shot from outside the box but missed to the left in the 96th minute. Porto held an advantage in possession with 56.5% but Al-Ahly created more opportunities with a 22-14 advantage on shots. A penalty just minutes into extra time kept Al-Ahly in the lead going into halftime. Porto gained momentum after Gomes sent a right-footed shot from outside the box to the top right corner. Wessam consolidated his hat trick with a header that sent the ball into the center of the box. EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Juan Freytes scored the go-ahead goal in the 83rd minute and Fluminense beat Ulsan 4-2 in the Club World Cup on Saturday night. Jhon Arias bent a 25-yard free kick inside the right post and under the crossbar in the 27th minute to open the scoring for Fluminense. Lee Jin-hyun, on the counterattack, put away a cross played by Um Wonsang into a wide-open net to tie it in the 37th and Um scored on diving header, off a low ball-in played by Lee, in first-half stoppage time to give Ulsan a 2-1 lead at halftime. Gustavo Nonato Santana — known as 'Nonato' — stopped a clearance attempt near the top of the penalty area and tapped a shot inside the right post in the 66th minute to tie the score 2-2. Marcos da Silva França — known as 'Keno' — capped the scoring in the second minute of stoppage time. Ulsan goalkeeper Jo Hyeon-woo made a diving stop in the second minute and moments later had a leaping one-hand parry. KEY MOMENT Freytes put away a first-touch finish, off a cross played by Germán Cano, from point-blank range for his first career goal with Fluminense to take the lead for good. Weather break and midday heat makes for difficult win for Palmeiras
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. :Palmeiras overcame a 50-minute weather interruption in their second game at the Club World Cup to beat Al Ahly of Egypt 2-0 at the MetLife Stadium and go to the top of the Group A table. But it was not the polished performance the Brazilian club's coach Abel Ferreira had hope for, as a midday kick off and then the severe weather delay made matters tough for his players before they secured victory to advance to four points and strengthen their chances of moving to the knockout stage. WHY IT'S IMPORTANT: South American clubs and their supporters traditionally attach much more importance to Club World Cup success than their European counterparts, and as one of the stronger of a four-team Brazilian contingent, Palmeiras carry a burden of expectation. They started the tournament with a goalless draw on Sunday against FC Porto, the other favourites in the group, and needed a win on Thursday over the record African champions to bolster their hopes KEY QUOTES: Palmeiras coach Abel Ferreira: 'We had a difficult opponent and I thought we played better in our first match against Porto.
