Plus, easyJet is launching 11 new routes from UK airport including Greek islands and African beach resorts FLY AWAY EasyJet is launching its summer seat sale next week – here's how to get the cheapest flights Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) EASYJET is launching its summer 2026 flights on next week, meaning you could bag some bargains if you're quick. Each quarter, easyJet launches flight tickets, and for those who book the moment they are launched, they can often get fares drastically cheaper than usual. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 EasyJet is adding millions of seats to its website next week Credit: Alamy This is because the airline runs on a dynamic demand pricing model, which means that when there is a lot of demand for seats, the prices for flights will be higher. When there is less demand, you pay less. Demand will always be low the very second flights are released and so you can grab a bargain. However, you do have to be quick, as in the past prices have shot up within a couple of hours of them being released. founder Martin Lewis said: "Do benchmark what a good price on that route is beforehand, just so you can check whether it's worth it. "Though of course, if a particular flight is very substantially under-booked later on, you could get seats even cheaper then – that's just far more difficult to predict." With the next release due to take place on Tuesday July 22, travellers can grab cheap tickets for travel between June 15 and September 13, 2026. According to there will be 'millions' of seats on sale. Last year, 18million seats were available - of which 10million were either to or from the UK. Whilst there isn't an exact time that flights will go on sale, an easyJet spokesperson said: "Customers looking to book early and get great fares for next summer should keep an eye on the easyJet website from early in the morning." The Secret Code on Your Boarding Pass: Why You Should Never Throw It Away Previously, flights have been added to the website as early as 5am or 6am. But sometimes it has also been 8am. The best thing to do will be to get up bright and early and check regularly. For those who cannot wait until Tuesday, the airlines' CEO Kenton Jarvis recently told The Independent's Simon Calder: "There are definitely bargains to be had for those wanting to go to Turkey [this summer]. "That's probably looking better value this year than Greece." EasyJet flies to many destinations including popular holiday spots such as Tenerife, Athens and Cyprus. easyJet is launching new routes and destinations from Newcastle Airport EASYJET is significantly expanding its network from Newcastle Airport with the launch of 11 new direct flight routes starting from March 2026. This expansion nearly doubles the number of destinations served by easyJet from Newcastle. Air traffic control is said to have given priority to the aircraft's approach to facilitate a faster arrival at the airport. The flight to Tenerife was met by police and medical teams once it landed. It all started in the final leg of the journey when the passenger allegedly urinated in the aisle, causing chaos in the flight mid-air. No further information has been released regarding the passenger's condition - and what happened in the aftermath. Meanwhile, coordination took place with airport staff to prepare for the necessary interventions as soon as the plane touched down. Local newspaper Canarian Weekly said: "The crew alerted authorities mid-flight about a passenger causing significant disturbance, prompting them to request police presence and medical support upon landing. "In response to the call, air traffic control gave priority to the aircraft's approach to ensure a swifter arrival at Tenerife South." Meanwhile, another easyJet flight was forced to make an emergency landing after passengers reportedly smelled smoke on board. The plane was heading to Bristol Airport but had to be suddenly diverted to Turkey. Moment drunk passenger is hauled off flight by cops after necking six wines as ENTIRE plane is forced to disembark EasyJet confirmed the crew had encountered a technical issue during the flight which caused a "smoke smell". The Airbus A320 aircraft had left Paphos and was crusing at around 36,000ft when a smoke alarm went off. The pilot was forced to make an emergency landing and head to an airport in Izmir just an hour and 20 minutes after it left Cyprus. A statement from easyJet read: "We can confirm that flight EZY2902 from Paphos to Bristol diverted to Izmir due to a technical issue which resulted in a smoke smell onboard." It comes after a vile passenger who threatened EasyJet staff was slapped in the face by an airport worker. Video taken at Manchester Airport captured a man with a cap shouting homophobic slurs and abusing staff members at the entry to the aircraft. It is understood that he was denied boarding for being "disruptive and aggressive" which triggered the chaotic scenes. The shocking confrontation saw the Easyjet flight from Manchester to Chania, Greece, delayed from taking off. The man, who has not yet been identified and wore a grey jacket, shouted abuse at Easyjet employees, including homophobic slurs. "You're a ripoff artist, you're a f***** - I'll knock your f***ing hat off", the man threatened as a flight attendant was seen trying to calm him down. The irate man threatened another attendant with a "f***ing scrap" after being denied entry. The video then cuts to a further confrontation with airport staff as the man gets more and more aggressive. It is then that an airport worker in a hi-vis vest swings at his face with what appears to be a slap.
