This E.C. Row Expressway on-ramp is closed for the rest of the summer

(Gary Archibald/CTV News Windsor) The City of Windsor has announced a closure extension of an E.C. Row Expressway on-ramp. The eastbound on-ramp from southbound Howard Avenue will stay closed through the summer, until Aug. 30. This is to allow crews to make improvements to the Grand Marais Drain, just south of the Expressway. More information on construction and detours in the city is available here.

A motorcycle crash on Dougall Avenue near E.C. Row Expressway ramps in Windsor, Ont., on Monday, June 23, 2025. (Bob Bellacicco/CTV News Windsor) Windsor police say a 28-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash. At 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to reports of a crash involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Dougall Avenue and the westbound on-ramp to the E.C. (Source: Unofficial: On Location) Police say an initial investigation revealed that a motorcycle travelling southbound on Dougall Avenue collided with an SUV that was turning westbound onto the expressway on-ramp. The motorcyclist was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. It has since reopened. The investigation is ongoing. Dougall ramps closed at E.C. Row Expressway due to collision

Windsor police have closed the Dougall Avenue ramps to the E.C. Row Expressway following a crash. June 22, 2025. (Source: Unofficial: On Location) A crash has caused the closure of the Dougall Avenue off and on ramps at the Expressway. Windsor police told CTV News the closure will remain in place 'for quite some time' into the morning. Police posted to social media just after 9:30 p.m on Sunday saying Dougall Avenue at the E.C. Row Expressway off ramp as well as the Dougall Avenue onramp were closed 'due to a collision.' There is no word on how many vehicles may have been involved, possible injuries or what may have caused the crash. More information will be provided as it becomes available.

Row Expressway. The following lane reductions will take place on Tuesday, May 27 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Westbound E.C. Row Expressway will have lane reductions from Lesperance Road to Banwell Road for shoulder grading. Eastbound E.C. Row Expressway will have lane reductions from Central Avenue to Jefferson Boulevard for guard rail repairs.
