With summer heat coming in fast, a reliable and affordable garden pool is the perfect solution to keep cool without leaving home. The Intex 6ft x 20in Easy Set Swimming Pool is one of the best-rated inflatable pools on the market, and now it's even better value.
Currently available on Amazon for £20.99 - down 18 per cent from its original £25.66 - this model has racked up over 36,800 reviews with an impressive 4.2-star rating. It's also the number one best seller in inflatable pools, and for good reason.
This particular version of the Easy Set Pool measures 183cm x 51cm, with a water capacity of 886 litres, making it ideal for kids and adults alike. Setup is quick: only the top ring needs inflating, and as it fills, the pool builds itself.
With three-layered sidewalls, a drain plug for easy emptying, and sturdy materials, it's designed to be a step up from standard paddling pools. Other sizes are also available, ranging from 244cm x 76cm up to a massive 457cm x 122cm.
Those after alternatives may also consider the Benross Sun Club Rectangular Pool, currently £24.99 with a 4.1-star rating, or the Bestway Rectangular 7ft Paddling Pool, available for £20 at Argos.
But for many, Intex's pool stands out for both build and performance. One satisfied buyer called it a 'fantastic pool'.
They added: 'I was sick of paddling pools which puncture when you look at them. This one is so much better, big enough for 2 lilos, 2 adults and a child to splash around in.'

They noted it took six hours to fill, but they plan to keep it up all summer, saying: 'If I can keep the water clean, then it's probably less waste than refilling a flimsy pool every few days.'
Not all buyers were as pleased, though. One reviewer said: 'We've had two of these 6ft pools and on both, the ring didn't inflate completely.'
Despite using both a manual and electric pump, they found the top ring stayed limp. 'It functions,' they admitted, 'but we'll go for a non-inflatable pool in future.'
Still, others found it made an excellent staycation substitute. One wrote, 'I bought this as a replacement for our family holiday to Spain… If you're drunk enough, and the sun is hot enough, it can be convincing.'
They inflated the pool by mouth and said it 'filled in less than two hours'. The kids loved it, even if their splashing interrupted the parent's wine-time.
However, another user had a more unconventional use. 'I bought this pool purposely to put my 5 large koi carp in while fitting a new pond liner.'

Though the pool 'did the job,' they had issues inflating it evenly and said the plugs leaked slowly over decking. They concluded: 'I wouldn't say don't buy it, but I'm not sure how long it would stay inflated for a summer garden pool.'
Despite the mixed feedback, the general consensus remains strongly in favour. One reviewer summed it up simply: 'Excellent pool and well worth the money. Bigger than expected, but not complaining at all.'
