Olivia Rodrigo sends fans wild as she brings out Ed Sheeran at huge sold out BST gig ahead of Glastonbury slot

OLIVIA Rodrigo sent her fans wild tonight when she surprised them by bringing out Ed Sheeran at her sold out BST gig in Hyde Park. Just two days before she closes Glastonbury Festival, Olivia proved why she's one of the best pop stars on the planet with a set jam-packed with catchy, angsty anthems. 5 Olivia Rodrigo performed a powerful set at BST tonight Credit: AP 5 The singer had a special guest waiting in the wings 5 Ed and Olivia performed his hit The A Team Credit: The Sun And superstar Ed's cameo was the icing on the cake of a glorious sunny day in the capital. Drivers License singer Olivia, 22, dressed to impress for her huge headline show, kicking off in a black sequined leotard. Ahead of the performance, she was able to unwind in her own private sanctuary with organisers adapting the backstage area with wildflower planters. And it was much needed as Olivia used up every ounce of energy in a lively set split into three parts. READ MORE ON OLIVIA RODRIGO It was in the final part that Ed came out for a rendition of his early hit The A Team, having watched the show from the side of the stage. Olivia introduced him as "one of the best songwriters of all time". There were famous faces in the crowd including James Corden, who stood beside Olivia's boyfriend Louis Partridge, and Sabrina Carpenter, who will perform on the same stage next week. Ed's no stranger to guest appearances, having stepped on stage with everyone from Limp Bizkit to Stormzy and Taylor Swift. Most read in Music And his acoustic anthem lent itself perfectly to Disney Channel starlet to 46million monthly listeners on Spotify , 14 Grammy nominations and collaborations with David Byrne and . Olivia Rodrigo praised for her 'iconic' FireAid performance - but fans all have the same complaint In 2016, Olivia was cast in Disney's Bizaardvark and three years later she starred in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, a mockumentary that sees a bunch of teens putting on a stage production of the hit. Between High School Musical takes, the young actress worked away on her guitar, writing more music, until eventually Disney bosses invited her to create an original song for her character to sing in the show. The piano ballad that emerged — All I Want — went viral, and she was soon in line for a record deal. But unlike others who went from Disney favourite to superstar, such as Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez, Olivia shunned the in-house label and decided to do things her own way. Everything changed overnight in January 2021 when Olivia released her debut single Drivers License in the middle of winter lockdown. It became the first song on Spotify to hit 80million streams in just seven days. The tune also shot straight to No1 on charts globally and propelled her into what she called a 'crash course in adulthood'. 'That was the craziest time of my life,' she said back then. 'I was sitting in a grocery store parking lot, and I called my A&R guy. 'It had just gone No 1 on Apple music, which is hard for a pop act to do. 'We were looking at each other on FaceTime, speechless. 'That was the moment I knew that it was going to be something bigger than I expected.' Her second single, Deja Vu, was certified four times platinum in the States, then May 2021 saw the release of her debut album Sour, with pop-punk hit Good 4 U going six times platinum in the US. She earned rave reviews from critics, while artists including Taylor Swift and Avril Lavigne heaped praise upon her. Her first live performance in the UK was at the Brit awards in 2021, while her festival debut here was at Glastonbury the following year. In just a few short years, she's now at the very top of the pile, holding her own beside fellow headliners The 1975 and Neil Young. 5 Ed loves collaborating with artists from all genres Credit: The Mega Agency 5 Olivia says she'd prefer to be known as a great songwriter than a pop star Credit: Getty

Ed Sheeran only wears white T-shirts

Ed Sheeran has shown off his wardrobe - but it only contains white t-shirts. The Shape of You hitmaker shared a funny TikTok video in which he showed off the contents of a clothing rail and explained when he wears each of the garments, despite them all being identical. Ed, who was wearing one of the plain white crew neck tops in the clip, pulled the hangers off the rail one by one and explained: "This is my wardrobe, and this is basically the T-shirt I wear to be on stage, and when I finish on stage, and I go out, I wear this T-shirt. "And when I have my day off and I'm trying to chill out, I wear this, which is always very important. "Sometimes if I'm actually going to be really really fancy, if I'm really fancy and I want to go out for a nice dinner, I wear this T-shirt. "Then, when I'm in the studio, I wear that. "And when I do the school visits with Kev, plain. "Spaghetti bolognese, but you might spill it — it'll be good. "So that's my wardrobe. What do you think?" An account for TikTok was quick to join in the joke. They commented: "Was hoping to see your fav clothes to scroll TikTok in [cry laughing face emoji] (sic)" Ed previously admitted his friend Sir Elton John is one of the biggest critics of his "boring wardrobe". The Castle on the Hill singer wore an uncharacteristically colourful Versace blazer to the 2021 GQ Men of the Year awards and explained at the time his pal had given him some advice on what to wear to the event. He told The Sun newspaper at the time: 'Before I came tonight I FaceTimed Elton to show him the results. He's been slagging off my boring wardrobe for years. "I'm not really a fashion guy but I've had to start to show an interest – he loves it. Elton approved — it's very him. 'I actually feel pretty good in it and it's a while since there were big events on, so here I am. I'd feel less comfortable in an ordinary suit. It's easier being in this.'

Car Trek Season 11 is Here With Three Sports Cars for the Price of a Plane Ticket

We may have lost Clarkson, May, and Hammond in Top Gear and most recently The Grand Tour, but we can at least rely on Ed Bolian of VINWiki, Freddy "Tavarish" Hernandez, and Tyler Hoover of Hoovie's Garage to bring us another season of Car Trek. This YouTuber-special series just dropped its 11th season, and with the third and final episode of the season coming tomorrow, it seems we're in for several treats. If you're familiar with the concept of the two aforementioned shows, then you'll understand and love Car Trek. Three friends, who in this case happen to be rather popular automotive YouTubers, purchase three questionable cars for far too little or too much money and proceed to take them on adventures that those cars have no right embarking on. Each season has a different goal and concept that puts everyone to the test, with AutoTempest and Ticket Clinic usually being the main sponsors of the series. "The Car Trek audience seems to enjoy our content the most when we are miserable and breaking down in truly terrible cars," Ed Bolian told me. "Our 11th series delivers that in an order of magnitude greater than anything we have suffered through before." So, what did the trio buy from series sponsor AutoTempest? Ed went German with a 2022 Audi TT Quattro, Freddy stuck to his JDM roots with a 1990 Toyota Supra Turbo, and Tyler followed in Ed's footsteps with a 1999 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class. Neither car is as good as it was when it rolled off the factory floor, and all cost the same as a cancelled flight. If that doesn't spell disaster, then perhaps the questionable modifications they made to each other's cars for a dirt track race in episode #2 might. Will the cars last throughout all three episodes? Probably not, but it'll be fun for sure. Between endless car revival videos, the return of Finnegan and Freiburger of Roadkill fame, and now a new Car Trek season, it seems there is never a bad day for automotive enthusiasts seeking content on YouTube. If you haven't yet, catch episode #1 of Car Trek Season 11 below and then binge the second episode too in preparation for the third one on Friday. If the show's past seasons are anything to go by, then this one's finale is sure not to disappoint either. Copyright 2025 The Arena Group, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

Good Morning Britain in chaos as presenter warned 'you'll get banned'

Good Morning Britain hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls were left in hysterics after facing an awkward moment on the ITV show. During Thursday's instalment of Good Morning Britain, Susanna Reid and Ed Balls faced a somewhat awkward moment on air. The hosts had been discussing current affairs with Kwasi Kwarteng and Ayesha Hazarika when Susanna took the opportunity to introduce Marks & Spencer's latest creation – a strawberries and cream sandwich. ‌ Despite initially thinking it was a joke, Susanna, Ed, and their guests got stuck into taste testing. Still, it didn't seem to be a hit with everyone. ‌ Before even tasting it, Ed expressed his reluctance, commenting: "I really don't want to, it looks absolutely disgusting." Ayesha couldn't hold back her repulsion, exclaiming: "Oh my gosh, it's minging! Sorry, it's minging." Ed chimed in with a preference for something stronger as he added: "I would've rather had a gin and tonic." Susanna, ever the professional, couldn't help but laugh as she countered: "You'll get banned for saying that! I have to say, I thought that was absolutely delicious." Ed was seemingly torn over the quirky snack, heading in for a second taste after his initial hesitation. Susanna, however, openly admitted her fondness for the unusual combination, reports the Manchester Evening News. ‌ Wrapping up their time with Ayesha and Kwasi, things got tricky as Susanna and Ed munched on. They ended up in a quiet bind, unable to speak due to their full mouths, which led to off-camera chuckles during the unexpected silent patch. Ed tried to smoothly transition as he remarked: "Still to come- I don't think we can do it, can we?" Caught mid-bite, Susanna remained silent leaving Ed to face an awkward silence. ‌ He went on to ask: "What do we do? Do we go to a break? Shall we have the weather?" Laughs from Kwasi and Ayesha could be heard off-camera as they watched Ed scramble to navigate the blunder, while Susanna had finally swallowed her sandwich. She then quipped: "Normally, the director would save us with the weather, but he's just going to stick with it!"
