Sophie Ellis-Bextor, 46, looks ethereal in a feathered mint green gown as she leads arrivals at Silver Clef Awards

Sophie Ellis-Bextor turned heads as she led the arrivals at the Nordoff & Robbins' O2 Silver Clef Awards 2025 at JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London on Wednesday. The singer, 46, looked stunning in a mint green pleated maxi dress, complete with dramatic feathered cuff sleeves. She added a touch of height with silver block heels and carried a chic pearl handbag, personalised with her name in sparkling rhinestones. Sophie beamed as she posed for photographers before heading into the star-studded event. Also in attendance were Myleene Klass, Lisa Stansfield, Natalie Imbruglia, Edith Bowman, and Mika. Myleene, 47, looked effortlessly elegant in a crisp white suit, while Lisa, 58, wowed in a plunging black ensemble. Natalie, 50, opted for a sharp tuxedo look, and Mika, 41, stood out in a bold pinstripe suit. The Silver Clef Awards is an annual music awards ceremony and fundraiser for Nordoff and Robbins. The event celebrates outstanding musical achievements while raising vital funds for the charity's music therapy work. During the evening, Sophie proudly collected the Best Female Award, posing with her trophy on the red carpet. The award winners were announced last month, ahead of the star-studded event. Speaking previously of her win, Sophie told Music Week:'Receiving the Best Female award means a great deal to me. Genuinely, such an honour. 'Music has always been a huge tonic for me. It helps me recalibrate and feel good, as well as being a way to connect with people. 'To be recognised in this way, especially by an organisation like Nordoff And Robbins that harnesses music to spread joy and uplift, is truly special.' Mika received the Global Impact Award, recognising his international success as a chart-topping artist. The Last Dinner Party were presented with the Best New Music Award, while Aurora was honoured with the Contemporary Music Award. The event comes just weeks after Sophie addressed the 'gloomy chapter' of perimenopause and the narrative that women should become 'quiet and invisible' with her new album Perimenopop. The singer was just 21 when she first soared to fame with her first number one hit, Groovejet (If This Ain't Love) with Spiller in 2000, going on to become a household name. 25 years later, the chart-topper is set to release her latest offering which she, in a new interview with Good Housekeeping UK, claims dispels the notion that pop music is for 'young people' and instead mocks that apparent 'gloomy chapter' women face in their later years. Perimonpop is being touted as a 'a playful celebration of where Sophie is at in her life, knowing exactly who she is and embracing the joy and empowerment that brings'. And speaking to the publication about her album inspiration, Sophie echoed those sentiments as she shared: 'There's still this idea that only young people make pop music. As soon as I had the new album title, I felt like, "Now I can literally be myself." 'This album is about poking fun at this gloomy chapter and the narrative around it that women should be quietening down and becoming invisible… I don't feel like that at all.' Sophie has had somewhat of a career resurgence of late, with her 2001 track Murder On The Dancefloor gaining new popularity after it was used by filmmaker Emerald Fennell for the one-shot finale of her award-winning 2023 movie Saltburn. A single camera tracks actor Barry Keoghan as he dances to the track in the nude while walking the corridors of his newly inherited stately home - a memorable scene that introduced Sophie to a younger fanbase and helped push it back into the charts with a number two placement, her first top ten hit since 2007. She said of the track going viral: 'I was at home over Christmas when things started escalating online. The whole thing was glorious. And it wasn't just great for me, but for my whole team. We'd had a busy 2023, so we were match-fit. We could just pick up the pace.' It was a far cry from her thoughts three years earlier when she started her famous kitchen discos during the COVID-19 lockdown, with Sophie admitting that she believed it was the 'end of my career' following her first live broadcast. The kitchen discos proved to be hugely popular and gave fans a glimpse of Sophie's family life as it featured her guitarist husband Richard Jones and their five sons; Sonny, 21, Kit, 16, Ray, 13, Jesse, nine, and Mickey, six.

Celebrity Bake Off 'signs up famous comedian' just months after divorcing from fellow TV legend wife

A famous comedian has reportedly signed up to join Celebrity Bake Off, just months after he divorced from his TV star wife. 8 Out of 10 Cats Jon Richardson is now rumoured to be one of the next familiar faces to compete on the next Stand Up To Cancer special on Channel 4. 'Bosses are over the moon that they signed up Jon. He is hilarious, so will bring the laughs to the tent, and he's hugely popular with viewers,' a source told The Sun. 'It's been a tough year for Jon following his split from Lucy, so this has given him some light relief and it's all for charity, so that's an added bonus.' MailOnline has contacted Channel 4 and Jon's representatives for comment. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Jon and his comedian ex-wife Lucy Beaumont, 41, announced their decision to divorce in April after nine years of marriage in a move that surprised their fans. They share a daughter and tied the knot in April 2015, after they started dating in 2013. Meanwhile Edith Bowman is set to test her culinary skills in the famous tent for the upcoming Stand Up To Cancer special, according to the publication. The radio and TV personality, 51, is the latest star rumoured to be taking part, alongside Molly-Mae Hague and JoJo Siwa, with sources claiming she is expected to do very well. A TV insider told the publication: 'Edith always goes down a treat with viewers. She's warm, enthusiastic and a lot of fun, and show bosses are delighted to have her on board. 'Her radio day job sees her juggling lots of different things all at once so it should stand her in good stead when she films her episode in the tent.' Edith recently opened up on her ability to 'keep lots of plates spinning' as she admitted staying relevant in the entertainment industry is a constant battle, with the pressure of having '50 people' always chasing your job. She told The Sun in April: 'I try to keep lots of plates spinning so that when one door shuts I'm kind of kicking through another and I can get in there, I'm terrible at saying no, and I don't do myself any favours in terms of how much workload I put on myself. Edith will reportedly join Molly-Mae, as she makes her come back to reality TV on the Channel 4 show for the first time since Love Island (pictured) 'But I love what I do and I know there's another 50 people there who can do as good a job and that they can pick up that opportunity, so I feel I've got to make the most of it while I can.' Edith will reportedly join Molly-Mae, as she makes her come back to reality TV on the Channel 4 show for the first time since Love Island. The influencer, 26, has been placed firmly in the spotlight since her break-up last year with Tommy Fury, which was chronicled in her Prime Video documentary, Molly-Mae: Behind it All. A source told The Sun earlier this week: 'She will be a great addition to the line-up and bring a healthy helping of Love island glamour to the tent. 'Molly's now one of Britain's biggest TV stars and has seen her fame steadily grow since she first appeared on the ITV dating show back in 2019.'

Huge radio DJ 'becomes latest star to sign up for Celebrity Great British Bake Off' alongside Molly-Mae Hague, JoJo Siwa and Babatunde Aleshe

One of radio's biggest stars has reportedly signed up for the next celebrity version of The Great British Bake Off. Edith Bowman is set to test her culinary skills in the famous tent for the upcoming Stand Up To Cancer special, according to The Sun. The radio and TV personality, 51, is the latest star rumoured to be taking part, alongside Molly-Mae Hague and JoJo Siwa, with sources claiming she is expected to do very well. She told The Sun in April: 'I try to keep lots of plates spinning so that when one door shuts I'm kind of kicking through another and I can get in there, I'm terrible at saying no, and I don't do myself any favours in terms of how much workload I put on myself. 'But I love what I do and I know there's another 50 people there who can do as good a job and that they can pick up that opportunity, so I feel I've got to make the most of it while I can.' Last year, it emerged Edith's three-year stint presenting the BBC Hogmanay show has ended, with 32-year-old Amy Irons taking her place. It followed the Scottish star also being replaced by Shereen Cutkelvin, 27, as the host of the network's TRNSMT Festival coverage during the summer. The DJ has previously spoken about being 'edged out' by Radio One and how she felt 'let down' when her weekday afternoon slot was moved to the quieter weekend breakfast show in 2009. She said: 'Lies and deceit are extremely strong words, but the discussions I'd been having with my boss were very far from what I was told in the meeting.' Edith will reportedly join Molly-Mae, as she makes her come back to reality TV on the Channel 4 show for the first time since Love Island. The influencer, 26, has been placed firmly in the spotlight since her break-up last year with Tommy Fury, which was chronicled in her Prime Video documentary, Molly-Mae: Behind it All. 'Molly's now one of Britain's biggest TV stars and has seen her fame steadily grow since she first appeared on the ITV dating show back in 2019.' While JoJo is also said to be going on the show after taking Celebrity Big Brother by storm earlier this year. The Dance Moms star, 22, is said to have been scooped up by Channel 4 to film the celebrity spin-off in the midst of her huge surge in popularity in the UK. A source told The Sun: 'This is a bit of a coup for the Bake Off because Jojo is currently one of the most talked about young stars on TV right now. 'She's barely had time to catch her breath, leaving CBB last month amid huge media attention and heading straight into another huge show this month.' They added that it's a 'fantastic gig for her' because although she already has a fanbase over here, the baking show will also introduce her to a wider British audience. While comedian Babatunde Aleshe is also said to be on the star-studded line-up, after his stint on I'm A Celeb in 2022. A TV insider told The Sun: 'Babatunde is guaranteed to be hilarious and will no doubt have plenty of banter with Paul, Noel, Caroline and Alison. 'He's not known for his prowess in the kitchen so there's sure to be some panicky moments laced with the good humour he's known for. 'His energy on the Gogglebox sofa has always been pure positivity and very infectious, and bosses are hoping he'll bring that to the tent.'
