Donkey Full-on Pouts Over Being ‘On a Diet' and We Totally Get It

Donkey Full-on Pouts Over Being 'On a Diet' and We Totally Get It originally appeared on PetHelpful. It's safe to say that most of us would completely agree that there's nothing worse than having to be on a diet. shared a short video on Instagram recently of one of their resident donkeys, who is currently on a diet, and they're not happy about it. Leba says in the video's caption that this is "the saddest thing you'll see today…a donkey on a diet," and it's cracking people up. Apparently, this donkey is no longer able to eat with his friend during mealtime because the dieting donkey kept trying to steal their friend's food. This might explain why they have to be on a diet in the first place! We feel bad laughing at how sad this donkey at Leba's is! They look so disappointed with life and with not being able to eat with their friend. Commenters also got a kick out of it. @mjchapman56 pointed out, "Looks like 'Eeyore' - Winnie the Pooh's friend!" @annfcameron wondered, "That is so sad! Can't he have some celery at least? Kidding!" @ shared, "That's some serious sadness!! My mare can totally relate!!!" @chihuahuas_4_me joked, "Oh, well, I'm sorry, but you are stealing somebody's food, and if you want to know the truth, you are a little chubby. I thought you were pregnant. But anyways, yeah, I know. I'm there, so I know exactly how you feel!"Do Donkeys Get Sad? While this donkey certainly looks sad, do they really experience sadness? PetShun explains, "Scientific studies have provided evidence that donkeys can indeed suffer from depression. Researchers have observed changes in behavior and mood in donkeys that are consistent with symptoms of depression in humans. These changes include decreased interest in food, decreased social interactions, and a general lethargic demeanor. Depression in donkeys can be caused by a variety of factors. One common cause is social isolation. Donkeys are known to be highly social animals and thrive in the company of other individuals. When a donkey is separated from its herd or has limited social interactions, it may feel lonely and isolated, leading to depressive symptoms." PetShun also recommends providing mental and physical stimulation if your donkey gets depressed. Maybe this one needs a new ball to play with! What can be done about a partner's bad moods?

If you have a naturally sunny and upbeat disposition and your partner seems naturally withdrawn and negative toward you, is it possible to change that, or must your partner want to change? Could you initiate a change in your partner's disposition on your own without deliberately discussing this with your partner? How can this be accomplished? SUNNY Related : Advertisement A. I am not a behavioral psychologist, but I have seen the movie 'Twilight,' which is about vampires with powers. I'm going to make a real point, I swear. The premise of the vampire lore in that book/movie is that vampires have special skills based on their personalities and human talents. In one case, a vampire can read minds. In another, they can cause pain just by thinking about it. One particular vampire can calm people down — change the mood of the room. What a Of course, it doesn't last long. People are people, and they'll get right back to being stressed or scared if that's how they feel. Advertisement This is my long way of saying: I don't think you can change someone else's mood. Maybe for a few minutes at a time, but it would require a lot of tap dancing — or a vampire superpower. The person in question needs to figure out why they're sad or upset. They need to know they're upsetting others and want to make a change. Worth mentioning, if I have a vampire superpower, it's that I can absorb moods. If someone is miserable, I am too, and sometimes I think whatever's happening is my fault. I've learned that in those moments, especially at home, I can give myself space. I can take a walk. I can let go of the idea of fixing the problem and do something nice on my own. If you experience this 'default mood' a lot, it's worth having a deliberate discussion about what's happening. You don't want to get to a place where you're afraid to talk about important things. You and your partner should be working on this together. If they refuse, please consider what keeps you around. MEREDITH Related : READERS RESPOND: Did Winnie the Pooh try to change Eeyore's personality into one similar to Tigger, LW? Or did he accept him as he was? AULDYIN No, you cannot change people's personalities. But more to the point, you should not be in a relationship with someone who is negative toward you all the time. ASH First, suggest they get screened for depression. If they refuse repeatedly, you may have to ask them if there is something particular that is bothering them about the relationship. If so, try hard to fix it if you can. But if they can't tell you anything fixable, or they respond with cruel or impossible suggestions, you may have to break up. If depression is ruled out or successfully treated, ask them to be honest if there is any way to fix the relationship … not them as a person, per say. Sometimes people are a temperamental mismatch. One person's 'negative personality' is another's 'clever, cynical snark,' which some people seem to like. Advertisement LITTLEPENGUIN456 I was married to someone whose default was being depressed. It was a medical condition and he was taking medication and going to counseling but it didn't seem that helpful. As someone who is generally positive, I felt like it dragged me down too. We eventually got divorced for many reasons. I don't think you can change another person just because you are more positive. You can do things that will make them happy for a while, but I think a discussion is necessary. Maybe they don't even think they are being negative. They also have to want to change. The coin that sold on eBay for £7.05 is from the 2022 Winnie the Pooh & Friends collection by the Royal Mint. Coin hunters should check their collections to see if they have snatched up one of the treasures. Experts such as Coin Checker say such small details can "dramatically" increase the price of rare coins for dedicated collectors. A set of three was available to buy on the Royal Mint's website in 2020, but it is now unavailable for purchase. The collection featured a 50p coin with Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet plus a 50p coin with just Eeyore on. The other 50p coin in the collection has Kanga and Roo on the front of it. The coins were priced from £10 for a brilliant uncirculated version to £1,125 for a gold coin on the Royal Mint's website. They were released a century after the birth of the original Christopher Robin, the son of Winnie the Pooh author AA Milne, who inspired his stories. The news comes just after a rare 50p coin sold for more than £2,500 because of its unusual design. The rarest and most valuable 50p coins in circulation The coin, which was sold on eBay, was part of a batch of special Peter Rabbit coins produced by the Royal Mint in 2018. And another Peter Rabbit coin was put up for sale for a whopping £25,000 because of a tiny error. One eagle-eyed collector, who lives in Dereham, quickly noticed theirs looked different from the rest. As the eBay listing explained, there was a bizarre "lump of metal" stuck to one of the character's feet. How to check if you have a rare coin. It is worth checking your change to see if you have a rare coin and here is how to spot one. If you think that you might have a rare coin then it's worth checking with an expert to see if yours could sell for a hefty price tag. The most valuable coins are usually those with a low mintage or an error. These are often deemed the most valuable by collectors. You can check how much the coin is selling for on eBay by searching the full name of the coin, selecting the "sold" listing and then toggling the search to "highest value". It will give you an idea of the amount of money that the coin is going for. But it's not always the case that a coin has sold for the amount is was listed for. Coins are really only worth what someone else is willing to pay for them. Sometimes, collectors are willing to pay more for a coin if they need it to complete a set. Many of these coins are commemorative items, and similar rarities will often be desirable for collectors. It'll always depend on who you're looking to market your coin to when it comes to sell, as the amount buyers are willing to pay will vary. One literature fan might be keen to spend hundreds just to get their hands on it, while another might only see the coin as worth its face value of 50p. Some key things to look out for on other coins, that might help you drive up the price too, would be a low mintage or an error that's apparent on the design. You can check how much a coin will typically go for on eBay though. But remember, sometimes a coin may not have sold for the amount it was listed for, and fakes circulate online too, so keep this in mind. Meanwhile, we have revealed the most valuable coins you can find in your change – do you have one in your wallet? And here are the most rare and valuable 20p coins that could be worth up to £750.
