Llangollen Eisteddfod 2025 guide: what's on, parking & more
The event, which has been held in Llangollen every summer since 1947, is regarded as "one of the world's most inspirational cultural festivals".
Each year, around 4,000 performers and more than 35,000 visitors head to Llangollen for the event.
This year, along with the various music and dance competitions, which will climax with the prestigious 'Choir of the World' event (July 12), there will be several big-name artists taking to the stage.

While the 'Eistedffod Week' doesn't begin until Tuesday (July 8), major acts Texas, Rag'n'Bone Man, UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, James and The Script have already performed in Llangollen as a precursor to the festival.

There are still tickets available for each of these acts via the Llangollen Eisteddfod Box Office (online) or Ticketmaster (links to which can be found above).
Tickets range in price from £35.10 to £91.10, depending on the artist.

If you are planning on driving to the Eisteddfod, there are several parking options available:
The official Eisteddfod Car Park is located in the field above the Llangollen Pavilion (entrance off Town Road, off the A542).
Pre-booked spaces will be £10.55 and can be secured via the Llangollen Eisteddfod website.
Or you can pay £15 (card only) at the gate.
There are various other car parks in Llangollen that you can use throughout the festival:
Accessible parking for Blue Badge Holders will be available at the festival site (priced as above).
These spaces have to be pre-booked.
There is also a drop-off point in the same area, which can be accessed off Abbey Road, for passengers with accessibility needs.
For those looking to catch the train into Llangollen for the 2025 Eisteddfod, the nearest train stations are Ruabon and Chirk (15 minutes by car).
Routes:
Trains operate at least once per hour in both directions. For timetables visit the Transport for Wales (TfW) or Trainline websites.
Getting from the station:
There are plenty of local bus routes to help you get to and from Llangollen and the Eisteddfod.
This includes the 5 and 5C Arriva Bus Service which runs every 30 minutes between Wrexham, Ruabon, Acrefair, Trevor, and Llangollen.
Additional buses may be scheduled during busy festival times, according to the Eisteddfod website.

For those travelling from a little further afield, the nearest airports are Manchester (1hr and 15mins) and Liverpool John Lennon (1hr 10mins).
Both airports offer car hire, rail connections, and coach services.
The Llangollen Eisteddfod 2025 will run from Tuesday, July 8 until Sunday, July 13.
