Barcelona transfer target has already cleared out his locker
Barcelona transfer target has already cleared out his locker Barcelona transfer target Nico Williams recently cleared out his belongings from the Athletic Club dressing room. That's according to El Chiringuito TV, who appear to suggest that wide-man Nico's move to Barcelona can now be considered all but imminent. Advertisement The 22-year-old, of course, has been hotly tipped for a Camp Nou switch over the course of the last week. After Deco and co. reached an agreement on the terms of a contract with Nico and his entourage, all that remains is for Barcelona to deposit his Athletic Club release clause with La Liga. And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from Spain early this week is anything to go by, then the attacker appears more than confident that as much will soon be forthcoming. As per a report from El Chiringuito TV: 'Nico Williams picked up his things from Lezama (Athletic's training ground) last Thursday.' Conor Laird – GSFN

Real Madrid megastar a doubt for Club World Cup opener as he misses training
In a concerning development for Real Madrid, journalist Edu Aguirre of El Chiringuito TV reports that Kylian Mbappe is a doubt for their FIFA Club World Cup opener against Al-Hilal. Having been working for over a week now under new manager Xabi Alonso, Real Madrid will finally take the field for their first game under the Spaniard tomorrow when they face the Saudi Arabian giants in their first group game of the tournament. Advertisement However, Alonso might have to make do without the biggest source of goals for Real Madrid this season in Mbappe. As per the report, the French superstar, who won the La Liga Pichichi Trophy in his debut season with the Merengues, along with the European Golden Boot, is not training with the rest of the squad today. Mbappe could miss Real Madrid's game vs Al-Hilal. (Photo by) Mbappe's absence in today's training session is understood to be due to a fever, and at the moment, his involvement for tomorrow's game against Al-Hilal is uncertain. This poses a concern for Alonso considering that Real Madrid do not have another senior centre-forward at their disposal with Endrick also out injured. Advertisement One of the alternatives for the new head coach would be Rodrygo, who has been clamouring to play on the left or through the middle instead of his usual position on the right. Meanwhile, young academy striker Gonzalo Garcia, who enjoyed a prolific campaign with Castilla, could also be an option in Mbappe misses out tomorrow. The likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Ferland Mendy, Endrick, and David Alaba are all set to be unavailable for the opener tomorrow while the trio of Dani Carvajal, Antonio Rudiger, and Eder Militao are also unlikely to be ready.

Real Madrid paying $5.6m for Trent Alexander-Arnold proves Liverpool got the last laugh
Liverpool is reportedly set to bank a tidy fee from Real Madrid for Trent Alexander-Arnold, despite the right-back being just weeks away from the end of his Reds contract. In any other summer, Alexander-Arnold would simply see out the final month of his Reds deal following the end of the season, before seamlessly transitioning to his Madrid contract on July 1. This summer's inaugural, revamped Club World Cup, though, complicates matters slightly. That's because soccer players' contracts tend to run until June 30 — and that date falls smack being in the middle of the 32-team tournament in the United States. An exceptional transfer window, which has been introduced so that participating clubs can register new players in time for the start of the tournament, will open on June 1 and close on June 10. READ MORE: Liverpool transfer news LIVE — Wirtz, Kerkez, Frimpong latest; Kelleher price set READ MORE: Ryan Gravenberch ban truth as Community Shield theory debunked after Liverpool red card It is during that window that Alexander-Arnold will join Los Blancos, and a report by Spanish outlet El Chiringuito reports that the Spanish giant will pay Liverpool around $5.6 million for the pleasure. That's despite previous reports that Liverpool was only looking for around $1.1 million to let Alexander-Arnold out of his contract a month early. If the El Chiringuito report is accurate, Liverpool stands to financially benefit to the tune of around $7 million from the deal (the $5.6 million fee plus more than $1 million in wages that the Reds would have been due to pay Alexander-Arnold in June). EXCLUSIVA de @jpedrerol "El MADRID pagará 5M al LIVERPOOL por ARNOLD para que juegue el Mundial de Clubes". "El fichaje de Carreras está muy cerca". — El Chiringuito TV (@elchiringuitotv) May 26, 2025 While that figure pales in comparison to Alexander-Arnold's market value, which stands at more than $80 million, it is better than losing him for absolutely nothing, which would have been the case in any other year. Alexander-Arnold was visibly emotional during his final Liverpool appearance over the weekend as he bid farewell to the club he has represented for the majority of his life. He told Sky Sports: "I didn't know what to expect stepping out at Anfield today after what happened a few weeks ago but I wanted to play for the club one more time, and I said that to the manager and he trusted me to go in at half-time. "To get the reception that I got means more than anything to me. I've played hundreds of games for the club but I've never felt more loved and more cared for than today. "From the bottom of my heart, I hope that one day, the fans and supporters of this club are able to recognize the hard work and everything that I've done for the team, because there wasn't a day, a minute or a second that I didn't think about the team, from six years old to 26 years old. "Twenty years is a very, very long time, but I've loved every single minute of it. The ups and the downs, coming through the academy to the first team, and then being part of the first team properly. It's been an honor and a privilege for me to be part of this club."

Real Madrid Offers No. 10 Shirt to French Star Mbappé
Madrid – SABA: Spanish media have reported that Real Madrid has offered French forward Kylian Mbappé the iconic No. 10 shirt for the upcoming season. According to the program El Chiringuito, the Spanish club proposed that Mbappé wear the jersey previously donned by Croatian legend Luka Modrić, following the veteran midfielder's departure from the team. Mbappé initially began his journey with Real Madrid wearing the No. 9 shirt, as his preferred number 7 was already taken by Brazilian star Vinícius Júnior. Now, the No. 10—once worn by Modrić—will be handed to the French striker. The No. 10 shirt carries a prestigious legacy at Real Madrid, having been worn by legendary players such as Mesut Özil, Portuguese icon Luís Figo, Clarence Seedorf, and most recently, Luka Modrić. It's worth noting that Mbappé also wears the No. 10 for the French national team and considers it his favorite number, alongside the No. 7, which he famously wore at Paris Saint-Germain in honor of his idol Cristiano Ronaldo.
