EV charging stations installed at Guldhar, Duhai Namo Bharat stations

After Sahibabad RRTS station, electric vehicle (EV) charging stations have now been installed at Guldhar and Duhai Namo Bharat stations along the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor . The National Capital Region Transport Corporation ( NCRTC ), which is implementing the corridor, plans to expand e-vehicle charging facilities at other stations as well. "With Guldhar and Duhai added, the total number of EV charging stations on the corridor has increased to three. These new fast-charging stations will offer improved and quicker charging," said an NCRTC official, adding that expansion at other stations is also underway. Each fast charger supports 50 kW high-voltage charging, enabling four-wheelers to charge up to 80% in just 30 minutes. The Guldhar station can charge one vehicle at a time, while Duhai's station can charge two simultaneously. Both stations are equipped to serve various types of e-vehicles. Users can access these facilities via the "ElectreeFi" app, available on Google Play and Apple App Store. The app handles registration, slot booking, real-time charging status monitoring, and secure digital payments. "This initiative underscores NCRTC's commitment to clean energy and improved last-mile connectivity. It will benefit commuters and encourage EV adoption in nearby areas," the official added. Aligned with sustainability goals, NCRTC aims to meet 70% of the corridor's energy needs through solar power. Solar plants are being installed at all elevated stations and depots, targeting generation of about 11 MW of renewable energy . A 55-km stretch from New Ashok Nagar (Delhi) to Meerut South, comprising 11 stations, is already operational, with trial runs ongoing on the remaining corridor.
