NBK concludes full stack developer program in collaboration with CODED
Nineteen trainees successfully completed the specialized program KUWAIT: National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has concluded the Full Stack Developer Bootcamp—an intensive 14-week training initiative held at the Bank's headquarters in collaboration with CODED Academy. The program aims to strengthen the technical capabilities of young professionals in the banking sector, equipping them with advanced skills in programming and technology to support the industry's digital transformation. The closing ceremony of the program was attended by members of NBK's executive management led by Shaikha Al-Bahar, Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer at NBK, Mohammad Al-Kharafi, Group Chief Operating Officer at NBK, and Emad Al-Ablani, Group Chief Human Resources Officer at NBK, alongside senior leaders from both the Bank and CODED Academy. During the event, certificates were awarded to the 19 trainees who successfully completed the program. Graduates presented their final projects, showcasing the technical skills and practical knowledge they gained throughout the training program, which drew highly favorable reactions from the audience. The second phase, spanning 12 weeks, provided an immersive experience in advanced programming languages and integrated development techniques, enabling trainees to apply their skills in real-world scenarios. NBK signs agreement with AIU to enhance career development
KUWAIT: The National Bank of Kuwait signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the American International University to provide collaborative and innovative training programs and professional development workshops. Signing the memorandum were Emad Al-Ablani – Group Chief Human Resources Officer from NBK and Nael Alawadhi – Member of Board of Trustees from AIU with the attendance of officials from both institutions. According to the agreement, AIU will invite NBK representatives to participate in training programs and workshops organized by the university, which stands as a remarkable chance for exchanging knowledge and experiences. Moreover, specialized training programs will be organized for NBK employees in collaboration with the Human Resources Department, further enhancing the partnership in the field of professional development and elevating professional competencies. The program is divided into several training modules that aim to develop leadership and strategic skills, communication, and interaction, in addition to a focus on preparing participants to obtain exceptional leading roles in the future. The fourth and final module, focused on behavioral and impact skills, was held in collaboration with IE Business School in Madrid. Various essential topics were explored, such as Leading Conflict, Conflict Resolution, Leading Strategically, Megatrends and Future of Work, Effective Decision Maing, Delegation & Empowerment, and overall Wellbeing. Moreover, the participants had the ability to work with their executive coach from IE Business School, Madrid, to further develop their Capstone Projects in preparation for the presentations to Executive Management, reflecting the skills and knowledge gained throughout the program. In this cohort, not only did participants receive training for leadership skills, but they were also exposed to first-hand communication with global and diverse experiences, which contributed to enhancing overseas strategic collaboration and ultimately establishing a big network of women leaders across different sectors and locations. Joined by Mr. Emad Al-Ablani, Group Chief Human Resources Officer, the visit included a dinner banquet to honor His Excellency Mr. Ziyad Al-Anbai, the Ambassador of Kuwait to Spain along with several distinguished women leaders, with the attendance of Constantino De Zabala, the Director of Operations at IE Business School for the Middle East as well as the university leaders and Kuwaiti students.
