Emerging Socceroos Championships live stream 2025: Day 4

The first phase of the knockout stages at the Emerging Socceroos Championships has delivered some thrilling action. As the cream rises so does the expectations as the next generation of Australia's football elite strut their stuff. Every match of the tournament is being streamed live exclusively on KommunityTV. WHAT WE LEARNED FROM THE QUARTERS … NOW WAY THROUGH Emerging Victorian gloveman Jenson Gumbleton knows how to handle pressure. Only seconds after sending his own penalty attempt sailing wide, the Victoria Blue Under-15 keeper stepped up with two clutch shootout saves to send his side into the semi-finals at the Emerging Socceroos Championships. Victoria Blue survived a quarter-final thriller, beating state mates Victoria White 2(3)-2(2) after a tense penalty shootout. Gumbleton wasn't short of emotions, roaring with pride after he managed to reel off back-to-back saves, including a full-length diving effort against rival keeper Luca Nesci, to close out a highly-tense quarter-final showdown. It capped off a triumphant effort from Victoria Blue who fought their way back into the contest with a 50th-minute equaliser off the head of striker Thomas Nasso. HUMAN HIGHLIGHT REEL Victoria Blue captain Luke Becvinovski has been a human highlight reel at the Emerging Socceroos Championships and he continued his stellar tournament on Wednesday. The son of Victorian goalscoring legend Sash Becvinovski, Luke struck twice in 10 minutes to drive a dagger through the finals hopes of undefeated Queensland Maroon. The Australian Joeys striker scored off a mistake at the back to break the deadlock, before making a stirring run down the right sideline before curling a cross back into teammate Akeem Gerald to land the decisive blow on the stroke of halftime. The Victorian side held on grimly in a seesawing second-half to win the quarter-final 2-1 and hand a brave Queensland side its first loss of the week. REPLAYS FIELD 1 NSW Sky v Northern NSW (16QF4) Watch the full replay in the top window. South Australia v Western Australia (16QF3) Queensland Maroon v Victoria Blue (16QF2) NSW Navy v Capital Football (16QF1) FIELD 5 Western Australia v Queensland Silver (15QF4) South Australia v NSW Sky (15QF3) Queensland Maroon v NSW Navy (15QF2) Victoria Blue v Victoria White (15QF1) FIELD 2 Victoria Silver v Queensland Silver (16PQF4) NSW Country v Northern Territory (16PQF3) NSW Country v Northern Territory (16PQF3) Victoria Silver v NSW Country (15PQF4) Northern NSW v Northern Territory (15PQF3) FIELD 4 Charles Perkins XI v Tasmania (16PQF2) Malaysia v Tasmania (15PQF2) Queensland White v Capital Football (15PQF1) BETTER LATE THAN NEVER Sometimes the best is left until last as Western Australia goalkeeper Aaron Black will attest. During a fiercely contested quarter-final penalty shootout, Black saved the penultimate shot when opposition player Carter Young stepped up to the spot and drove the ball directly at him. Then with an under-15 semi-final the prize, he calmly hammered home his shot into the far left corner to clinch victory before signalling his teammates to join him in joyous celebration. Western Australia won the shootout 5-4 after the scores were tied a nil-all at full time. The undefeated West Australian outfit now comes up against Victoria Blue, who are also yet to drop a game. SKY'S THE LIMIT IN ATTACK A lightning long-range strike from Aston Reid has iced a superb come-from-behind 3-1 victory for powerhouse NSW Sky against NSW Northern. An under-16 semi-final berth against NSW Navy now awaits the undefeated outfit. The late flurry further underlines Sky's impressive weaponry in the front half. Reid's two goals now means Sky has four multiple goalscorers for the campaign. He joins Corey Da Cruz, Georgio Hassarati, Max Court to make a very formidable attack. Northern NSW broke the deadlock in the 41st minute with Nikolas Sklavos pouncing on a loose ball the keeper failed to control off his goal line. But this only stirred Sky from their slumber as they upped the ante in search of an equaliser. It didn't take long, with Reid tapping in his first in the 49th minute from close range in a messy goalmouth exchange. Max Court added from the penalty spot after Jordan Owusu was brought down by Revan Dalaf in a heavy tackle. Reid then finished the contest with his stunning shot in the 56th minute. PREVIEW The big guns are set to come out to play as the Emerging Socceroos Championships knockout stages begin on Wednesday. Every match of the tournament will be live streamed exclusively on KommunityTV. In the U16 draw, Queensland Maroon and NSW Sky will head into the finals right among the favourites after going through the group stages undefeated. Both teams have scored nine goals and conceded just one in their three matches so far. Queensland will have a difficult test as they come up against a strong Victoria Blue side featuring many of the players who took out last year's U15 title. NSW Sky – the defending U16 champions – meanwhile take on intrastate rival Northern NSW. On the U15 side, South Australia has put together an impressive campaign so far but will be tested against NSW Sky in their quarter-final. Undefeated Western Australia also looms as a title contender and will take on Queensland Silver. Victoria Blue and Victoria White will face off in another intrastate clash. Every match of the Emerging Socceroos Championships will be broadcast live and exclusive from July 6-11. For the second straight year KommunityTV and News Corp Australia have partnered with Football Australia to bring the nation's flagship underage national championships to life on the small screen. Carl Veart appointed coach of Australia's under-17 team

Don't miss out on the headlines from Football. Followed categories will be added to My News. 'Fatigued' after a lengthy and sometimes arduous stint as Adelaide United coach, Carl Veart is set for a much-needed reinvigoration in his new role in charge of Australia's under-17 team. Not offered a contract extension by Adelaide after five years as the club's A-League mentor, Veart's services were quickly up snapped by Football Australia, with his proven ability to develop and nurture young talent – including former Reds prodigy Nestory Irankunda – a key factor in his appointment. 'I (was) quite outspoken during my time at Adelaide about providing opportunities for young players,' Veart said on Monday from the Emerging Socceroos Championships in Bundoora. 'Before I was an A-League coach, I worked in this (youth) system for eight or nine years, working with those young players, so it's something that I'm very passionate about. 'I'm also very passionate about our national teams as well.' Veart, 55, said his new role had come at the 'right time' for him. 'I spent a long time in the A-League, and I started to fatigue with that a little bit, so this is a refresh for myself, and I'm really looking forward to the years ahead,' he said. 'The difference is now I'm working for tomorrow with young players. When you're working with senior players, it's all about the result and getting the result today. 'Now it's about providing these players with a strong platform to go on and have successful careers, and it's about giving them guidance and direction to what it takes to make that high level.' The former Socceroos striker was thrilled that several A-League clubs were giving younger players opportunities to shine. 'We've always said that up to 16-17 years of age, Australia does exceptionally well, and we needed to fix that gap from 17 to 20, and I think the A-League has done that, especially in the past 18 months,' Veart said. 'It's providing more opportunities for our younger players to get that exposure so they can develop quicker.' CommBank Becomes Largest Football Supporter in Australian History | Image: CommBank The World Game just got a massive boost Down Under. CommBank and Football Australia have announced a ground-breaking investment in Australia's most played team sport, with the financial institution to become Football Australia's major sponsor at all levels for the next six years. The move makes CommBank the largest supporter of football in Australia's history, marking a renewed focus on team activity and the Green and Gold. In addition to the existing sponsorship of the CommBank Matildas, the 2024 IFCPF Women's World Cup Champions the ParaMatildas, and the Pararoos, CommBank will become the naming rights partner of the Socceroos, and the Emerging Matildas and Emerging Socceroos Championships. It comes after a stellar run of success for the CommBank Matildas, the country's premier female football team, which is helping to drive new levels of participation in women's sport. Since the beginning of the partnership in 2021, women's and girls' football participation has increased by 27 per cent, and CommBank Matildas game attendance is up more than 100 per cent, including a run of 17 sold-out matches in a row from 2023 to 2024. Through CommBank's Growing Football Fund, over 230 grassroots clubs and associations have received grants of up to $5000 to support initiatives and programs. According to CommBank CEO, Matt Comyn, the investment will place an emphasis on keeping young people engaged in the sport from grassroots to elite level. As he revealed, the partner's commitment is to support all Australians, regardless of age, gender, ability, or location, in participating in the most played team sport in the country. 'With the Socceroos facing the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, and the CommBank Matildas preparing for the Australian-hosted AFC Women's Asia Cup, there has never been a more exciting time to be a fan of football in Australia,' Comyn said. 'When we partnered with Football Australia as naming rights sponsors of the CommBank Matildas, they were about to embark on a history-making international campaign, and what an incredible amount they've achieved for Australian football and women's sport since 2021. This six-year extension, combined with our previous four years, will result in a 10-year partnership. We hope this long-term commitment will help drive positive and lasting change for the game, players and communities.' Align Breathwork's Chris Sulfa | Image: Supplied One Playground hosting 'Inhale | Exhale' Workshop for Mental Wellness It's Men's Mental Health Month, and while we're doing a bit of our own reporting to spread the word, we're not the only ones. Fitness experts One Playground are holding a guided three-hour breath-work workshop at its Surry Hills wellness centre, Urban Oasis, to offer a more supportive environment for anyone to learn self-reflection, healthy emotional release, and nervous system regulation. Set on the 28 June, 2025, between 10.30am and 1.30pm, the event doubles up as a fundraiser, with half of proceeds going directly to MensLine Australia: a 24/7 free professional counselling service that aims to help man across Australia deal with mental health concerns, suicidal thoughts, and relationship breakdowns. If you're wondering who will be leading the workshop, One Playground is partnering with Sydney-based Align Breathwork, and master breathwork facilitator and founder Chris Sulfa will be bringing his science-informed approach to lead the guided exercise. 'Social norms around masculinity can be incredibly harmful, especially when they discourage men from acknowledging when they're not okay or reaching out for help,' Sulfa said. 'This workshop is about breaking that cycle.' Image: Supplied Young Henry's 'Best Served Loud' Heads to the Miami of QLD If you're a fan of beer and live music, you're probably well aware of Sydney's iconic inner west brewer Young Henry's 'Best Served Loud' events, wherein the beer brand props up a local venue, brings together a crowd, and plops some amazing musicians in the middle to keep everyone having a good time. Well, now we know where the next one is headed. On 5 July, Queensland's Miami Marketta will play host to a curated line up of fantastic artists: Sydney's three-piece hip-hop heroes Shady Nasty, the Gold Coast's own indie outfit Girl and Girl, pub-pop production The Beefs, and Northern Rivers' The Cauliflowers. Also, as expected, Young Henry's drinks will be on special. If you're keen on a night out with some great local music, and cheap beer, Best Served Loud is one of the easiest ways to get there—and if you're a Miami local you have no excuse. First public showing of Climate Station at London Zoo | Image: Supplied PlayStation launches 'Climate Station' on PS5, PSVR As part of Sony's Road to Zero plan, as well as its work in the Playing for the Planet Alliance, PlayStation has launched a digital experience which aims to help younger generations understand the wealth of information on the impact of climate change on our world. The 'Climate Station' experience, which can be downloaded for free on PlayStation 5, and which supports the console's virtual reality headset, PSVR2, allows users to engage with the incredibly complex data of our changing climate, as well as follow the story of how things have shifted. It includes 120 years' worth of climate data sourced from many of the world's leading meteorological experts, such as NASA, NOAA, and the WCRP, an 'explainer library', featuring 90 minutes of engaging explanations to help users understand that data, as well as projections on where things are heading. 'Bringing climate awareness into the homes of millions through gaming will help build both knowledge and action to address the triple planetary crisis of climate change, nature and biodiversity loss, and pollution and waste,' said Susan Gardner, director of the ecosystems division at the United Nations Environment Programme. 'The approach to adapt the science into a game format has been impressive.' It's not only for home use, though. Climate Station has actually been created so that it can also be used in research and education environments as well, so as to help the next generation of scientists and climate researchers understand the frankly overwhelming amount of data. Who Gives A Crap's 'Dream Range' | Image: Supplied Glow in the Dark Toilet Paper? Who gives a crap Our soft and cheeky friends at Who Gives a Crap have been working hard at transforming the classic toilet paper roll into something truly illuminating: it glows in the dark now. Well, the wrapping paper does. Working with Indonesian artist Martcellia Liunic, Who Gives a Crap have redesigned its loo paper rolls to provide a bit of sunshine to your night-time bathroom escapades. No more excuses for missing the bowl, boys. If that wasn't already cool enough, these limited edition rolls, called the 'Dream Edition', are charged by sunlight – so you'll want to set them up by a window for a bit after unpacking them to activate their true potential. And one final reason to pick them up, 50 per cent of the profits go to charities focused on providing clean water and toilets for everyone, which is definitely a mission we can get behind (get it? Behind? I'll see myself out).

The nation's footballing talents of the future will return to KommunityTV screens in July, but with a new name and new purpose. It is the second-straight year KommunityTV and News Corp Australia has partnered with Football Australia to bring the nation's flagship underage national championships to life on the small screen. Those tournaments have been given a new lease on life in 2025 with the creation of the Emerging Matildas Championships and Emerging Socceroos Championships. The Emerging Socceroos Championships will take place at the Home of the Matildas in Melbourne from July 6-11, while the Emerging Matildas Championships take over Sydney's Valentines Sports Park from July 15-20. It's not just a name change according to former Matilda and Football Australia interim CEO Heather Gariock. 'This is about more than a name, it's about delivering a high-performance environment that identifies, nurtures, and prepares the next generation of elite Australian footballers, coaches, and match officials,' she said. What hasn't changed is our level of coverage. KommunityTV will exclusively live stream every match from both tournaments, with more than 170 games of football played across the two weeks of action. 'We're very pleased to continue our partnership with KommunityTV in 2025, providing live streaming of every match to ensure families, friends, and fans across the country can follow the action and support their local talent,' Garriock said. 'This partnership plays a vital role in connecting communities and giving these young players a platform to shine.' HOW TO WATCH LIVE KommunityTV will be the only place you can watch all of the action from both the Emerging Matildas and Emerging Socceroos Championships, with the tournament live streamed across all of our News Corp Australia digital mastheads. Each day's live action and action replays will be housed in individual stories, with the links included below on the eve of each day's action. Alternatively, you can use the video player on your local KommunityTV homepage by going to throughout the tournament. Use the live stream schedules below so you know what day your team is playing during the week. Only News Corp Australia full digital subscribers can watch the action from the tournament. Use our daily stream links to sign up and watch it LIVE. WATCH THE EMERGING MATILDAS AND SOCCEROOS LIVE Tournament schedules will be released shortly WHY ARE THE EMERGING CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE IMPORTANT? The tournaments have been a proven breeding ground of Australia's top football talents, and provide the perfect springboard for the next generation to hit the global stage. This has only been strengthened by the introduction of a more cohesive national pathway to the Socceroos and Matildas teams. The tournament has also adopted a number of technical advancements in the past year with data-driven performance analysis, expanded competition formats, a national talent identification strategy and the inclusion of more target awards including a tournament Golden Boot, player of the final and fair play award. 'The transformation of the CommBank Emerging Matildas and CommBank Emerging Socceroos Championships reflects Football Australia's commitment to building world-class development pathways that align directly with our senior national teams,' Garriock said. The pressure will be on NSW Metro's stellar girls football program after the sky blues took out both the Under-15 and Under-16 age group titles at the National Youth Championships last year. One side who will be determined to press their case for a national title is the Northern NSW girls who managed to hold their gloves up against their high-powered rivals in last year's decider. In the boys NSW Metro and Victoria shared the national honours last year after the sky blues came from behind to topple rivals Queensland in the decider. The Victorian boys were completely unstoppable in the Under-15s tournament, going through undefeated and will hope most players back up for a run at the Under-16 title in 2025. Live stream schedules for the girls tournament will be announced in late June, while the boys tournament will be released in early July.
