Ghost of Yōtei State of Play showcase date, how to watch, and what to expect
Image via: Sony Interactive After months of anticipation, fans now have a less-longer wait with the confirmation of a Ghost of Yōtei State of Play showcase dedicated to the game. Scheduled for July 10, 2025, this special deep-dive will lift the veil on the spiritual successor of Ghost of Tsushima, giving players a close-up look at the gameplay, mechanics, and story elements that have so far only ever been seen in short teaser trailers. When To Watch The Ghost of Yōtei State of Play will be streamed live on Thursday, the 10th of July , on PlayStation's official Twitch and YouTube channels. In terms of worldwide timing, this is how it goes: 2 PM PT 5 PM ET 10 PM BST 11 PM CEST Event Duration: Approximately 20 minutes The game will be hosted by its two creative directors, Jason Connell and Nate Fox, who will announce the new features, visuals, and gameplay. What to Expect: A Deep Dive into Atsu's Journey Previous trailers introduced a new protagonist, Atsu, and a setting some 300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima, and still, much of the actual gameplay of the title remained unknown up to this point. This State of Play would be a major indication to viewers of what Atsu's full arsenal looks like, new weapons, the newer customize systems, and gameplay modes. Sony has hinted for the players to get an exclusive tour on how they can customize their own experience as they go through the northern parts of Japan-which is mostly present-day Hokkaido. Culture Depth and New Enemies Atsu's vengeance belongs to the Yōtei Six. The game is also supposed to celebrate and respectfully represent the Ainu culture, native to that area, a detail that assures one of Sucker Punch's interest in somewhat grounded historical storytelling, a credit they enjoyed with Ghost of Tsushima. Ghost of Yōtei - State of Play Announcement Trailer | PS5 Games The Road to October Launch This showcase is set to serve as the biggest marketing ramp ahead of an October release for Ghost of Yōtei, with multiplayer features or open-world traversal methods being speculated upon. Guests waiting for these confirmations are hoping that they'd be showcased. Cat-and-mouse style katana fighting, incredible views, and complex premise stories, Ghost of Yōtei showcase for July 10 is shaping up to be a landmark event for every PlayStation fan and really for every samurai game fan. Game On Season 1 continues with Mirabai Chanu's inspiring story. Watch Episode 2 here.

Jeremy Allen White and Austin Butler Join Forces for A24's Crime Thriller ENEMIES — GeekTyrant
Jeremy Allen White and Austin Butler are teaming up for Enemies , a gritty new crime saga from The Standoff at Sparrow Creek filmmaker Henry Dunham. The project is set up at A24, and cameras are set to roll this summer in Chicago on the $25 million production. It's shaping up to be one hell of a ride. The story centers on a relentless detective and a notorious contract killer locked in a brutal, high-stakes game of cat and mouse. White, fresh off two Emmy wins for The Bear , and Butler, still riding high from Elvis and Dune: Part Two , are set to go head-to-head in what sounds like a tense, psychological showdown. Dunham is writing and directing, bringing his knack for tight, character-driven tension to the table. I suspect that the movie will be a slow burn story with sharp dialogue, and lots of moral murk. The film is being produced by Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen of Square Peg, with Alejandro De Leon also producing and Josh Bachove executive producing. Aster, best known for Hereditary and Midsommar , is clearly keeping busy, his latest directorial effort, Eddington , a COVID-era western starring Pedro Pascal and Joaquin Phoenix, just made its Cannes debut. Enemies adds to A24's slate, which also includes Spike Lee's High and Low remake ( Highest 2 Lowest ), which reunites the director with Denzel Washington for the fifth time. That project, set in New York's music world.

Adria Arjona discusses her ‘Andor' farewell: ‘There's so much hope in that scene'
Andor. Adria Arjona remembers how she found out that she would be in the final shot of Andor with a baby in tow. Show creator Tony Gilroy broke the news to her almost casually, considering how meticulously detailed and thought-out Andor always seems. More from GoldDerby Jeremy Allen White and Austin Butler team up for 'Enemies,' Maya Hawke joins 'Hunger Games' prequel, 'Smurfs' trailer drops, and more top news Tony Talk: Predicting the tricky musical acting categories including Audra McDonald vs. Nicole Scherzinger 'Gypsy' Tony nominee Joy Woods takes Louise from 'apologetic' to 'powerful' 'He told me in passing, because he's so cool like that,' Arjona says of Gilroy. 'He was like, 'Oh, by the way, kid, the last shot is going to be you.' I was like, 'What? What do you mean? And I'm holding what, a baby? When does Bix get pregnant? Do you see me pregnant? Do you not see me pregnant?' And he was like, 'Relax, kid. Let me write it and I'll send it to you.' So I knew that that was going to happen.' That last scene is Arjona's singular appearance as Bix Caleen in the final three episodes of Andor. When Bix broke up with her hero, Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), via a 'Dear John' video message at the end of Episode 9, it seemed like that was the last viewers would see of her (especially considering the character is not part of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story). Arjona did everything she could to make that breakup message feel emotional and final. 'We filmed it practically, like she would've filmed it,' Arjona tells Gold Derby. 'So I was alone, and Cassian was sleeping, and I would walk from the bedroom and go by the table and start recording, and the first four [takes] were not usable at all.' Arjona continues, 'I'm spilling all my tea, but they weren't usable because I was so emotional. It was the first time in my career that I allowed my emotions to get involved; I am hired because I can control my emotions, you know what I mean? But I couldn't control it. It meant so much to me and I respect and love Rogue One so much that propelling one of your favorite characters into a movie that you love so dearly was something that I couldn't get over until finally I shed that and Bix took over, and it's the scene that you see.' While the breakup message was a hard goodbye, Bix's final scene carries the promise that all the sacrifices will be worth it for the future, a long-running theme of Star Wars. 'I think there's so much hope in that scene,' Arjona says. 'There's something really beautiful that Bix always says throughout this entire season, 'He's going to come back.' She has no doubt in Cassian, and when you don't have any doubt in someone, you inflict so much confidence. That's sort of what Tony Gilroy has been for me in my life. He's never doubted me. He's only inflicted confidence in me, and that's what Bix is for Cassian.' Arjona admits it's bittersweet to say goodbye to Andor after working on it for years, but she hopes to remember everything she learned on the most acclaimed Star Wars show. 'It's going to be tough to top this one,' Arjona says. 'It's been such a beautiful creative team. I got to work with some of the best of the best, from hair and makeup to costumes to production design to directors, writers, and actors. I've learned so much in this show. I mean, it's really been one of my greatest schools. Anywhere I looked, there was a lesson there for me, and I really grew up in this show in many ways over six years. Where I was in my career to where I am now, it's a lot of thanks to the show and to Tony and to Diego who really supported me and believed in me. It is sad to realize that our last episode is coming out. You're just like, 'Oh man, this is it. We gave it our all, and it's all out there.''
