Guwahati, Jun 29 (PTI) State-run power major NTPC Limited's Bongaigaon unit's contribution to healthcare promotion and environment protection have been awarded in different forums recently, a company statement said on Sunday.
'Through its comprehensive healthcare project, NTPC Bongaigaon has supported the development of health infrastructure, supply of essential medical equipment, and outreach programmes to enhance access to primary and preventive healthcare for local communities,' the statement said.
The Environment and Sustainability Award recognises NTPC Bongaigaon's consistent efforts towards sustainable operations and environmental protection, demonstrating best practices in ecological conservation and responsible resource management at the 750 MW power station, it added.
