You can find them here: Forbes Today's NYT Strands Puzzle: Hints, Spangram And Answers For Tuesday, July 1st By Erik Kain We've arrived at Thor's Day once again. Round and round we go, week to week, puzzle to puzzle. Today we have a delicious new Strands puzzle with just six words to uncover. Let's dig 'em up! Strands is the newest game in the New York Times' stable of puzzle games. It's a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we're given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. One of these words is the spangram which crosses from one side of the grid to another and reveals even more about the day's theme. Spoilers ahead. Read on for today's theme and some hints to help you uncover today's words. Instead of giving you the first two letters of each word, today I'm giving out three hints instead of two. Today's Theme: Beyond vanilla Hint: Think chocolate, strawberry etc. Clue: Maybe in a cone Here are the first two letters of each word: Remember, spoilers ahead! What Are Today's Strands Answers? Today's spangram is: ICECREAM Here's the full list of words: CHERRY BUTTERSCOTCH PISTACHIO COFFEE BROWNIE Here's the completed Strands grid: Today's Strands Screenshot: Erik Kain Today's Strands Breakdown A pretty easy Strands as far as these puzzles go, especially since most of us are pretty familiar with all these ice cream flavors. I found CHERRY first, though I don't know if I've ever had cherry-flavored ice cream before. The only one that gave me trouble was PISTACHIO but that was mostly because I couldn't remember how to spell it! How did you do on your Strands today? Let me know on Twitter and Facebook. How to solve today's Wordle. SOPA Images/LightRocket via Getty Images Looking for Saturday's Wordle hints, clues and answer? You can find them here: It's Father's Day! Happy day to all you dads out there, and to all of you who may just be filling that role in someone's life, whether that's a single mom or a grandpa or a stepdad or whoever else. It's an important job! It's also one of the best jobs, certainly my favorite out of all the many gigs I've had over the years. I'm excited to spend the day with my kids. And a very special Happy Father's Day to my dad! You couldn't ask for a better father and role model. But before we get to that, let's solve today's Wordle! The Hint: Avian. The Clue: This Wordle has two letters that almost always go together. Okay, spoilers below! The answer is coming! . . . Today's Wordle Screenshot: Erik Kain Every day I check Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here. SPACE wasn't a bad opening guess, but it left me with just one green 'A' and little to work with. BOINK, unfortunately, only slashed 71 words down to 12. Little chance of guessing on three. I guessed FLAIR in the hopes of cutting out as many solutions as possible, and was left with two to choose from: AVAIL or QUAIL. I went with the one that didn't have a double letter and luckily for me, that was the Wordle. Huzzah! Today's Wordle Bot Screenshot: Erik Kain The Bot and I each got this in four, meaning we each got zero points. Our June totals remain the same. Erik: 11 points Wordle Bot: 8 points The word quail (the bird) comes from Middle English quaille, borrowed from Old French quaille, which likely comes from Medieval Latin quaccula, an imitation of the bird's call (onomatopoeic origin). As a verb meaning "to cower or lose courage," quail is unrelated and comes from Middle English quailen, likely from Old English cwacian meaning "to quake or tremble." Today's ‘Wordle' #1456 Hints, Clues And Answer For Saturday, June 14th

How to solve today's Wordle. SOPA Images/LightRocket via Getty Images Looking for Friday's Wordle hints, clues and answer? You can find them here: Hooray and huzzah! It's Saturday! The day of Saturn—the one day of the week that celebrates a Roman god instead of Norse/Germanic gods. The rain of early June has departed and now we're in the mid-80s, which is a lot hotter when you're at 7,500 feet above the sea. The sun is brutal. I have to remember to wear sunscreen or I crisp right up. That won't be an issue while we solve today's Wordle, of course. The Hint: Spooky. The Clue: This Wordle has far more consonants than vowels. Okay, spoilers below! The answer is coming! . . . Today's Wordle Screenshot: Erik Kain Every day I check Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here. BLOAT was a great starting word, leaving me with just 18 remaining words and two green boxes. I couldn't think of a perfect word with all new letters, so I went with four new letters in an attempt to rule out the one remaining vowel I thought might be a problem. SHUNT shaved off every possible solution but one: GHOST for the win! Today's Wordle Bot Screenshot: Erik Kain Sadly, the Bot and I tied today so we get 0 points for that. We each get 1 point for guessing in three. Our June totals inch up while the gap remains the same: Erik: 11 points Wordle Bot: 8 points The word ghost comes from Old English gāst, meaning "spirit" or "soul." It is related to Old High German geist (spirit) and is likely from a Proto-Germanic root gaistaz. The deeper origin is uncertain, but it may be linked to the idea of breath or life force. Today's NYT Strands Puzzle: Hints, Spangram And Answers For Tuesday, June 10th

Today's NYT Strands hints and answers Credit: New York Times Looking for Monday's Strands hints, spangram and answers? You can find them here: It's Tuesday! Huzzah! I'm not sure why this is cause for celebration, but I do know that Tuesday is a somewhat overlooked day of the week. People are rarely excited about it unless it's Taco Tuesday. In fact, why not let it be Taco Tuesday tonight? I'm going to have tacos, in any case. But before I do, let's uncover some words in today's Strands grid! Strands is the newest game in the New York Times' stable of puzzle games. It's a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we're given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. Read on for today's theme and some hints to help you uncover today's words. Instead of giving you the first two letters of each word, today I'm giving out three hints instead of two. Today's Theme: Mind your manners. Hint: Sit up straight. Clue: Don't interrupt. Here are the first two letters of each of today's words: Remember, spoilers ahead! Today's spangram is: BEPOLITE Here's the full list of words: Here's the completed Strands grid: Today's Strands Screenshot: Erik Kain It took me a little while to find my first word, or rather the first correct word. I always find a ton of words that don't actually count. Once I had THANK, CONSIDER and RESPECT, I snagged the spangram — BEPOLITE — easily enough. All told, while it took me a bit to get going, once I did these came quickly. How did you do on your Strands today? Let me know on Twitter and Facebook. Thankfully, BRAID was wildly lucky, leaving me with just one remaining option: BOARD for the win! Today's Wordle Bot Screenshot: Erik Kain At last, a win for me! I get 1 point for guessing in three and another for beating the Bot. The Bot gets 0 points for guessing in four and -1 for losing to me. This narrows our June totals to: Erik: 4 points Wordle Bot: 7 points The word board comes from Old English bord, meaning "a plank, flat surface, or table." It is of Germanic origin, related to Old Norse borð and German Brett. Over time, its meanings expanded to include "meals provided at a table" and "a group of people managing something" (as in board of directors).
