Escorts Kubota tractor sales up 2.2% in June 2025, construction equipment down
New Delhi [India], July 1 (ANI): Escorts Kubota Limited reported a 2.2 per cent rise in total tractor sales for June 2025, selling 11,498 tractors compared to 11,245 units in June 2024. According to Escorts Kubota Limited, the company's Agri Machinery Business showed strong export growth, even as domestic sales remained steady. Domestic tractor sales stood at 10,997 units in June 2025, slightly lower than 11,011 units in the same month last year. However, export sales more than doubled, reaching 501 tractors in June 2025 from 234 units in June 2024 -- a growth of 114.1 per cent. The company said that the timely arrival of the southwest monsoon, better Kharif crop sowing, and higher Minimum Support Prices (MSP) helped improve farmer confidence. With forecasts of above-normal monsoon and better rural liquidity, Escorts Kubota expects tractor demand to stay strong in the coming months. For the April to June quarter (Q1 FY26), the company sold a total of 30,581 tractors, up 0.7 per cent from 30,370 units sold during Q1 FY25. While domestic sales dropped slightly by 1.9 per cent to 28,848 units, exports rose by 80.3 per cent to 1,733 units. On the other hand, the company's Construction Equipment Business saw a decline. In June 2025, only 334 machines were sold, down 27.2 per cent from 459 machines sold in June 2024. For Q1 FY26, construction equipment sales were 1,055 units, a 23.7 per cent drop from 1,382 units in the same quarter last year. Escorts Kubota said the drop in construction equipment sales was due to slower project activity during the monsoon season, delays in infrastructure work, and higher prices due to new emission rules. However, the company expects demand to pick up after the monsoon, supported by higher government spending on infrastructure. The sales numbers include those of Escorts Kubota India Pvt. Ltd. and Kubota Agricultural Machinery India Pvt. Ltd., following their merger with Escorts Kubota Limited, approved by the National Company Law Tribunal in August 2024. (ANI)

Escorts Kubota said that its Agri Machinery Business has sold 11,498 tractors in June 2025, registering a growth of 2.2% as compared with 11,245 tractors sold in June 2024. Domestic tractor sales in June 2025 were at 10,997 units, down 0.1% YoY. The company said that timely arrival of southwest monsoon, improvement in sown area for the Kharif crops and announcement of higher Minimum Support Prices (MSP) by the Government for the Kharif season have collectively helped in uplifting the farmers sentiments. The companys Construction Equipment Business Division has recorded 27.2% decline in sales to 334 machines in June 2025 from 459 machines sold in June 2024. The Construction Equipment (CE) market is currently experiencing challenges on account of slowdown in construction activities on the ground due to the onset of monsoon, delays in infrastructure projects and higher product prices stemming from changes in emission regulations. However, given the higher budgeted outlay towards capital expenditure for this fiscal, Government is expected to continue its thrust on infrastructure development and demand for construction equipments is likely to improve post monsoon season. Escorts Kubota is primarily engaged in the business of manufacturing agricultural tractors, engines for agricultural tractors, construction, earthmoving, and material handling equipment; round and flat tubes; heating elements; and double-acting hydraulics. The companys consolidated net profit increased 14.5% to Rs 284.38 crore on a 6.1% jump in net sales to Rs 2,430.30 crore in Q4 FY25 over Q4 FY24. The scrip advanced 0.95% to currently trade at Rs 3365 on the BSE.

Escorts Kubota May'25 sales rises to 10,354 units
The tractor manufacturer announced that its agri-machinery business division recorded a marginal 0.7% year-on-year increase in sales to 10,354 units in May 2025, compared to 10,286 units sold in May 2024. While domestic sales also declined 2% to 9,703 units in May 2025 compared with 9,906 units sold in May 2024. The companys exports jumped 71.3% to 651 units in May 2025 as against 380 units posted in May 2024. Further, the companys construction equipment business division sold 321 machines in May 2025, registering a decline of 29.9% from 458 machines sold in May 2024. Escorts Kubota is primarily engaged in the business of manufacturing agricultural tractors, engines for agricultural tractors, construction, earthmoving, and material handling equipment; round and flat tubes; heating elements; and double-acting hydraulics.
