Nicholas Galitzine Reveals How He Got Shredded to Play He-Man

Following the announcement that filming has completed on the 2026 reboot of Masters of the Universe, the new He-Man himself, Nicholas Galitzine, gave fans an epic update showcasing how he transformed into the utterly jacked, famously musclebound fantasy hero. In a series of new behind-the-scenes photos from Masters of the Universe, Galitzine shows himself in the gym, as well as boxing like a machine. "Just a lil BTS and training from the last few months. (I can't show you nada)," Galitzine wrote in the caption. Galitzine certainly didn't mess around with this training. He looks significantly larger than he appeared in his most recent film, the 2024 romance, The Idea of You. The photos also show him alongside his stunt double, wearing a pink shirt very reminiscent of what Prince Adam wore in the original Filmation cartoon back in 1984. We also get at least one look at Galitzine fight training with katanas, which probably aren't the same kinds of swords that He-Man uses in the actual movie. But then again, you never know. At least one photo showed Galitzine holding the new power sword, which looks very much like the classic power sword from the 1980s cartoon. As has been previously revealed, some of the action of Masters of the Universe will take place on contemporary Earth. This mirrors the 1987 film, which also depicted travel between the planet Eternia and Earth. But this time, the story will focus on Prince Adam having grown up on Earth (like Superman) and only learning of his heritage later. How Galitzine will handle this transition from a terrestrial Prince Adam to He-Man remains to be seen. But clearly, thanks to his incredible training, he certainly looks the Galitzine Reveals How He Got Shredded to Play He-Man first appeared on Men's Journal on Jun 16, 2025

Nicholas Galitzine shows off his bulging biceps for hunky He-Man transformation

Nicholas Galitzine has officially left his twink era in the dust! The Red, White & Royal Blue star has been teasing his new muscles for months, but now that filming for the upcoming He-Man movie, Masters of the Universe, has finally wrapped, Galitzine star is driving fans wild by giving us a sneak peek at his transformation from twink to twunk. Yesterday, he posted a backlit photo on Instagram that showed off his new bod in his He-Man costume, carrying the iconic Power Sword on his back. But today, he gave fans what they've been craving when he dropped new behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the set of Masters of the Universe. Galitzine posted a carousel of images and videos that showed off all the work he's put in at the gym with the caption, 'Just a lil BTS and training from the last few months. (I can't show you nada)' See on Instagram The first image is a gym selfie that shows the 30-year-old actor in a white tank top, black sweats, and a baseball hat, flexing his biceps in a way that is sure to have gay basements flooding across the internet. There is also a photo of Galitzine with what appears to be his body double, wearing a pink button-down that seems like a nod to the pink tunic worn by Eternia's legendary hero in the original '80s cartoon, the movie is based on. But if you didn't already have the hots for Galitzine, the video footage that features him practicing sword fighting and a second one showing off his skills as a boxer is sure to have you thirsting over the Mary & George star. — (@) Amazon MGM Studio's long-anticipated live-action reboot of the iconic '80s franchise also stars Alison Brie, Jared Leto, Idris Elba, and Camila Mendes, and finds Prince Adam (AKA He-Man) living an ordinary life on Earth, totally unaware he possesses tremendous power until he stumbles upon the Power Sword which send him hurtling back to Eternia to save his kingdom. To play the 'most powerful man in the universe,' Galitzine had to dramatically change his lifestyle so he could bulk up. 'I'm eating about 4,000 calories a day, but the amount of physical work I'm doing, you end up hungry at the end of the day, which is quite surprising,' he told W Magazine back in January. Masters of the Universe is slated for theatrical release on June 5, 2026, followed by streaming on Prime Video. So if you think Pride Month is usually the sexiest time of the year, just wait until next June when the movie drops and gays everywhere line up to see Galitzine in all his loin-cloth clad glory.

Nicholas Galitzine Unveils He-Man First Looks As ‘Masters of the Universe' Wraps Filming

It's a wrap for Amazon MGM's live-action He-Man film, Masters of the Universe, as leading man Nicholas Galitzine has announced the end of production, alongside a teaser image of the star decked out in his He-Man costume. Taking to Instagram, Galitzine shared his excitement for the upcoming project, and reflected on his journey portraying the iconic character based on the classic Mattel toy line. 'Well, that's a wrap on Masters of the Universe,' he wrote, 'It has been an honour shouldering the responsibility of playing Adam and He-Man. It's been the role of a lifetime and I put everything into it. There's not much I can show you, but I am so proud of the movie we've made. Thanks to our amazing cast and crew for all your hard work.' This statement accompanied an image of the star in his full He-Man costume from behind, but shrouded in darkness. Despite this, the actor's silhouette not only offers a glimpse at his Power Sword, but also teases an armour design that seems very accurate to the original toy, signalling a respect for its source material that points towards a faithful live-action adaptation of the classic television series. While plot details for Masters of the Universe remain under wraps, the film will centre around Galitzine's Prince Adam of Eternia, who turns into He-Man thanks to his Power Sword, gaining superhuman abilities which he uses to defend Eternia and Castle Grayskull. The film is directed by Travis Knight (Bumblebee), with its script written by Chris Butler (ParaNorman). Alongside Galitzine, the film also stars Camila Mendes (Riverdale) as Teela, Jared Leto (Morbius) as Skeletor, Idris Elba (Luther) as Man-at-Arms, Morena Baccarin (Deadpool) as The Sorceress, Alison Brie (Community) as Evil-lyn, James Purefoy (The Following) as King Randor and Charlotte Riley (Peaky Blinders) as Queen Marlena. Masters of the Universe is set to hit theatres on 5 June 2026.

Can solar power spark a shift away from coal in India?

Surging electricity output from solar farms has led to a rare decline in fossil fuel power production in India so far in 2025, and is setting the stage for a potential drop in annual coal-fired power output in the world's second-largest coal consumer. A record 32.4% jump in solar generation during January to April from the year before has helped utilities to lift overall electricity supplies while keeping coal-fired generation flat and cutting natural gas-fired output by 27%, Ember data shows. With January through April typically marking the peak in India's annual coal generation, continued high solar power production through the coming months may allow utilities to cut full-year coal use in 2025 for the first time since 2020. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Eternia Spacious 3 & 4 BHK Residences in Greater Noida West Eternia Residences Learn More Undo SOLAR SHINES India's electricity generation from solar farms was a record 57.8 terawatt hours (TWh) during January to April, according to Ember. That total was nearly a third more than during the same months in 2024, and came on the back of a roughly 30% climb in installed solar generation capacity over the past year. Live Events Higher solar generation levels in turn lifted solar power's share of India's electricity generation mix to a record 10% during March and April, compared to an average of 7% for 2024. Overall clean power generation in India climbed by 23% during January to April from the same months last year, and helped clean power sources score a record 23.3% share of India's total electricity production so far this year. FOSSIL CUTS With supplies of clean electricity at record highs, India's utilities were able to trim generation from fossil fuel-fired power plants by around 0.5% so far in 2025 compared to January to April of 2024. That fossil use reduction is modest compared to the more than 20% annual expansion in clean power supplies. But given the rapid pace of energy demand growth in India, it is rare for utilities to post anything other than strong yearly expansions in fossil fuel power deployment. Indeed, the last time fossil fuel power production declined during January to April from the year before was in 2020, when India's economy was struck by COVID-19 lockdowns. Going forward, fossil fuels will remain the main pillar of India's power generation system, and will supply around 75% of the country's electricity. What's more, coal will remain by far the dominant single power source in the country. However, with clean power supplies growing at an average pace of around 10% a year since 2020, India's overall electricity generation system will continue to get incrementally cleaner. And as clean power supply growth can often exceed overall electricity demand growth, power producers may have scope to cut back on fossil output during periods of softer power demand. SEASONAL PEAKS & TROUGHS One of those softer demand periods may lie ahead, as India's utilities have cut fossil fuel production during the May through August period from the levels of the opening four months of the year in five of the past six years. A key driver of this fossil fuel downturn is the seasonal swell in hydro power production from May onwards, due to India's monsoon rains which replenish the country's dams and reservoirs. Between 2019 and 2024, the higher mid-year precipitation levels resulted in a more than doubling in monthly hydro electricity supplies between May and August. Forecasts for the 2025 monsoon are calling for above-average rains, with rain totals expected to be around 6% above the long-term average. On top of that, utilities can expect additional clean power supplies from solar farms over the summer, which continue to expand in generation capacity every month. That combination of higher hydro output alongside record solar generation could entice India's utilities to make further curbs to coal generation over the coming months, and set the stage for a rare year-over-year reduction in overall coal use. Uptick in Covid cases, symptoms mostly mild

Pune: Several city hospitals are of late reporting an uptick in Covid-19 patients, most with mild symptoms. Dr Piyush Chaudhary, an infectious disease specialist at Jehangir Hospital, confirmed the uptick in cases. "The number of cases being detected is definitely increasing, but predominantly they are milder. Only patients who are elderly or have comorbidities with multiple medical problems are experiencing severe disease," he said. The hospital currently has two Covid patients in the ICU, both elderly individuals aged 75-80 years with multiple underlying health conditions. Healthcare professionals are observing a growing demand for precautionary vaccine doses amid increase in Covid cases. Reasons: Patients' immunity from last shots in 2022 has begun to wane and current variants differ from those the earlier vaccines were designed to combat. Most new cases are being attributed to the Omicron sub-variant JN.1. Other strains, including NB 1.8.1 and LF.7, are also under observation, according to recent reports. Dr Chaudhary said, "The increase in Covid cases has been noticeable over the last two weeks, with more cases appearing this week. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Eternia Spacious 3 & 4 BHK Residences for Grand Living Eternia Residences Learn More Undo It's gradually increasing." He attributed part of the rise in detected cases to increased testing. "Now that Covid is everywhere in the news, people are testing more," Dr Chaudhary said. "While there is increased interest from patients regarding vaccination, Covid vaccines are currently not available in the market. The vaccines we previously administered offer some protection against severe disease, though they were formulated for earlier variants. An updated vaccine would help boost antibody response and provide enhanced protection against current strains," he said. Dr Ameet Dravid, an infectious diseases expert with Noble Hospital, said, "There's a definite uptick in Covid cases. This week we've had around six cases, with the majority seen in the outpatient department. Two patients are currently admitted in the ICU." He said, "One is 25-year-old, who developed seizures after having fever for two days and tested positive for Covid. The second is a 70-year-old woman, who came with breathlessness. We initially thought it was heart-related, but her Covid test also came positive. Both ICU patients are recovering." Dr Dravid, "Swab samples of the patients have gone to NIV, and only those confirmed by it will be part of government Covid data statistics. The actual number of cases is likely to be much higher because private labs are testing but government reporting only includes NIV-confirmed samples." He said there had been an uptick in upper respiratory tract illnesses, with some turning out to be Covid. The majority were H1N1 or swine flu, though. Dr Ajit Tambolkar, intensivist at Poona Hospital, said, "We have a Covid patient, a 70-year-old diabetic man, in the isolation ward. He doesn't require ICU care. Another was discharged recently — a young girl with no comorbidities but had recent travel history. She has been discharged. The 70-year-old man initially needed oxygen, which was stopped on Friday. These cases came in the last seven days. We had no Covid cases before that. Symptoms are mild — cough, cold, fever and flu-like symptoms. We suggest people seek medical intervention if their symptoms last for more than three days." Dr Nikhil Phadke, founder-director and chief science officer of GenePath Diagnostics, said "We have started seeing Covid positives again after a long time in the past 10 days. But the uptick doesn't seem dramatic so far." A senior state health department official said, "No Covid vaccine is available currently because manufacturing stopped due to reduced demand in the past. The latest uptick in Covid cases is expected as it's endemic, and we have more H1N1 cases than Covid at present. Vaccination is a preventive policy when infections are on a large scale. According to public health experts, Covid vaccination is not required currently as it is endemic and the number of such cases is within normal parameters. "
