The University of Connecticut graduate announced over the weekend that she would be taking some time off following the conclusion of the 2024-25 NBA season, which wrapped up earlier this month, with the Thunder taking down the Pacers in Game 7. The New York City resident is getting ready to enjoy some time off. "Another NBA szn in the books. Thank y'all for rocking with us 10 yrs & counting. Time to work on my tan-lines, shut my brain off & be with the fam. See ya in a few weeks. Grateful always, MQ," she announced. Monday morning, ESPN had Evan Cohen filling in for Qerim. He serves as a co-host of ESPN Radio's "UnSportsmanLike" daily program, with Michelle Smallmon and Chris Canty. Advertisement But while Cohen did his best, ESPN fans are missing Qerim on Monday, as "First Take" discussed the NBA's upcoming free agency, the Steelers' trade for Jalen Ramsey and more. Fans were in agreement that Qerim was greatly missed on Monday morning. "The host on First Take today is worse than Molly," one fan wrote. "Where's Molly?" another fan wrote. "Where is ESPN First Take's Molly Qerim?" another fan wondered on Monday. Qerim was certainly missed on Monday, but she won't be gone for too long. The popular "First Take" host will be back on the air in the coming weeks. She's set to make her return to ESPN later in July. Molly Qerim, the host of the popular ESPN morning show since 2015, announced over the weekend that she would be taking a break from the program. Qerim, a University of Connecticut graduate, is taking a much-needed summer vacation. Advertisement The stunning ESPN host announced her break from "First Take" on Sunday afternoon. Qerim was replaced by Evan Cohen at host and a crew of analysts on set, including Mike Tannebaum, David Dennis Jr. and Dan Graziano. The crew discussed the breaking news that was the Dolphins-Steelers trade, featuring two premier players in Jalen Ramsey and Minkah Fitzpatrick. Fans of the program aren't loving her replacement, though. Fans are missing the University of Connecticut graduate on the air on Monday morning. Man fatally stabbed in Brickwell; police searching for suspect
A man was stabbed to death early Sunday morning in Brickell, near the ICON Brickell condo building, the Miami Police Department said. Miami Police said officers responded to the incident around 2 a.m. When they arrived, they found a man with apparent stab wounds. The victim was declared dead on the scene, police said. Police have begun their investigation, including canvassing the area. Brickell is considered an upscale enclave near downtown Miami, separated by the Miami River. Vacationing tourists staying at the ICON condos across from the crime scene expressed some reserve, but not enough to ruin their time in South Florida or second-guess the area of town they chose to stay. "It's concerning, to say the least. But Brickell's the place to be at, " said Evan Cohen, who is visiting from Orlando. "It's interesting to see all the police and everything out here." Police are searching for the suspect and investigating what led to the fatal stabbing. This is a developing story. We'll have more information when it becomes available.
