Sheffield United have confirmed the news that 10 first team players have left the club upon the expiry of their contracts. The Blades announced their summer exit list via a post on their official club website this morning. Advertisement Defender Satara Murray had already announced her retirement but additionally, it has now been revealed that Maria Farrugia, Jacqui Hand, Monique Robinson, Esther Morgan, Annie Wilding, Jade Bailey, Olivia Page, Fallon Connolly-Jackson, Bethan Davies and Olivia Edwards are all moving on. Sheffield United have opted to retain goalkeeper Sian Rogers for another year while they remain in contract negotiations with Leanne Cowan, Abbie Lafayette, Ella Kinzett, Molly Graham and Eva Butler. Last season was a really challenging campaign for Sheffield United. Ash Thompson was appointed into his first senior head coach role and was tasked with assembling a brand new squad. The Blades were competitive throughout but points were hard to come by and the club eventually finished the campaign bottom of the table. Sheffield United were set to be relegated to the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division, however, Blackburn Rovers' resignation resulted in the South Yorkshire side being handed a reprieve. Head coach Thompson will now oversee a fresh rebuild this summer as Sheffield United look to climb the Barclays WSL2 table in 2025/2026.

He was taking it all in, it was really sweet."Norwich have finished second in the FA Women's National League Division One South East for two seasons running and just missed out on promotion both times. Next season will see changes in the league structure, external which means second-placed teams enter a promotion play-off. Striker Hall has joined from AFC Bournemouth, where she scored six goals in 13 appearances last season. She was part of the Cherries side who achieved promotion to the Southern Premier Division during the 2024-25 18-year-old told the club website, external: "I love the city. I've had chats with Flo Allen and (head coach) Andy Cook; I love their morals."We perfectly align and I just can't wait to get started. I want to score as many goals as I can. Arsenal youngster Wellesley-Smith signs first professional deal

Arsenal teenager Cecily Wellesley-Smith has signed her first professional contract with the club. The Gunners announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning. The 18-year-old defender joined Arsenal from FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division club Oxford United last summer. The youngster attracted The Gunners' attention after making 18 appearances for Oxford United in the 2023/2024 FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division, helping the club to a fifth-place finish. Advertisement A hectic 2024/2025 campaign saw Wellesley-Smith continue her development in a dual-registration spell back at Oxford United while she also made a contribution to Arsenal's Professional Game Academy League side's title success. The youngster has been invited to train with Renée Slegers' first team squad and she will be hoping to make her senior debut for Arsenal after signing professional terms with the club. After penning her first professional deal, Wellesley-Smith said 'I'm so proud to sign my first professional contract with Arsenal. 'During my time here so far, I've loved learning from some of the best players and staff in the game and gaining an understanding of what it means to represent this great club.
